Some friends of mine won't like to wear seatbelt while they are riding with me. I didn't really notice that until recently. I really want to reason with them, if they want to be in my car, please wear the seat belt like I do, for the peace of mind of mine. Since I am a driver, I have to responsible for their safety. Also, I need to comply with the laws. So, whoever in my car, I would enforce them to wear the seat belt, even it wasn't that convenience for them. Safety go first.
Would you enforce someone wear seat belt while they are riding in your car?

I don't like seatbelts either but if it's the law then yes, I would insist that my friends wear seatbelts. If they refused, I just would not move my car until they buckled up. Like you said, it is not only for their own safety but also the fines are huge if you get pulled over and they are not wearing them. And guess who gets the fines?

Yes the accidents can happen at any time[ em]happy[/em]. No one knows how it comes and how it takes the life of us. The only thing we can do is just be careful and don’t make any chances to happen[ em]happy[/em].

Yes, I would...and have. If I'm driving them around, they are required to wear their seat belts. Not only is it the law, but my responsibility as a driver as well. If they can't abide by this simple rule, they better find a different mode of transportation or be willing to walk as I won't drive them anywhere until they are willing to buckle up.
Happy mylotting!

yes, definitely! I would ask them nicely. Since they're going to ride my car, they have to conform to the rules. I'll insist on it and if they don't comply, i won't start the car,lol It's for safety reasons. Even if i say that i'll be careful when i drive, we don't know what to expect when we're out on the road. Better be safe than sorry

I tell them to if they don't listen... i shout at them to... it not.. i fight with them ... even then if they don't.... ieven beg them to wear seat belt while in my car. You should always respect your car and can only do that by being safe in it. I drive a little fast and don't them to get hurt for my mistakes. Seat belts can save you from most fatal accidents... I am a student studying automation so cars are like everything to me.......

Most of the times I just used to have my [ em]happy[/em]ride by putting the seat belts. I feel seats belts are quite important to everyone during my ride because I just used to ride my vehicle fast [ em]happy[/em]and at some time I just need to apply sudden brakes. So I just ask all the ones to wear them during the ride[ em]happy[/em].

of course i will... it is a law here that every passenger has to wear seat belt... otherwise, the person will be heavily fined here... and i never have that problem anyway because they know that it is for their safety and they don't want to waste their money paying for the fine... take care and have a nice day...

If they are sitting in the passenger seat of my car they are definitely going to wear their seatbelt...but if they are in the backseat behind one of the seats I don't make them, but if they are in the center seat they do. I think that is because I don't wear my seatbelt when I'm in the backseat of a car when I'm in my friends cars...but if I'm in the front passenger seat I always wear my seatbelt.

Well, it's the law & if caught, one will get fine. In this case, it would be the DRIVER!!!So far the most of the people here don't have the habit of NOT liking to put the seat belt on so we don't have much of a problem. If someone doesn't want to put in on in my car, I'll just stop the car & ask them to walk, it's just that simple, haha!~

Yes I make everyone in the car buckle up, there are many accidents around here and also huge fines for not wearing a seatbelt. I know many locals who don't wear them on the roads until they reach a certain point where they feel the police may be around and then they put them on.

Yes, I require my passengers to wear seat belts. In as much as it's my responsibility to make them safe while in my car, it is also their responsibility to follow the rules. We all want to get to our destination safe and sound hence everyone should cooperate and oblige.

I would, and I think that if they are your friend they will understand you want them to be safe and want to follow the law. If it was me and we got into an accident and something happened to them I would feel responsible for not making them wear one.

Honestly I can't say I would or not. I don't wear my seatbelt and that is for personal reasons as well. So if my passenger wants to wear a seat belt by all means wear it. But I am not going to force anyone to use a seatbelt if they don't want to. However I am not taking their no seat belt charge if we do get pulled over that is their own change.

Yes i would definitely recommend him to wear tthe seat belt while driving. as itis the necessary thing while driving which prwvents us from aany injury if any accident takes place. somepeople takeit as a forceful thing but it is neccesary or mandatory to prevent the injury.

In my country there is a law that enforces the use of seatbelts. And if I´m driving, I don´t start the car until everyone is wearing it. If someone says he won´t wear it, I ask him (her) to please, get out of the car. It´s that simple.
My mom has a tendency of forgetting but I remind her nicely everytime and she does it.
I will not drive either on another car with a driver that won´t put his seatbelt.

What you say to your passengers are 100% correct! When you're driving you hold the resposibilities for their safety. IF you met an accident and the paasenger passes away, you won't blame for your reckless driving for the rest of your life. So, precautions is better than cure. I would do the same as you did!
