If getting married and have a children I prefer two or three children. If God, permitted I like two daughter and one son or one daughter and one son. That is a good choice for me and suitable for this time.
More children is not a good choice, today. Our situation became worse and worse. Government face many problems to gives solution on poverty. They think that intensifying campaign for family planning is one of the methods to less poverty in the world.
If you prefer two or three children. You can focus on their education to makes them rewards in the future. You can't hardly provide what they needs for education, shelter, foods and others...How about you my friend?

Hello Karen
To have more children is not suitable today, unless you are rich or a millionaire.
Even those rich, they have one or two children. I don't know why is that rich people has less children since they can provide all things to their children? It is really true that rich people is more sticky than poor?
Who is poor and no stable jobs, parents. They are likely a factory of children? This is due to lack of the governments intensifying efforts in educating parents for family planning.
I don't know if Americans has more children, than Filipino's that has more than 12 children...

Hi Aerous...the amount of children varies in America, but the average is 2 to 3 per family. Some of the wealthiest here do have more children, or they will adopt them from orphanages to give them good care and a good education and love. Other people, whatever their economic status, have one or a few, and some have many. It really varies a great deal here, but as I said, average overall is 2-3.

Hello Aerous. I think yes, one should not have more children than they can provide for and take good care of. Raising a child and seeing to their education costs a lot of money. So I agree with you!

Hi Flutter :) I think abuse in all forms is atrocious, but most especially, the abuse of a baby or a child!
It is interesting how your grandchildren are alternate gender all the way through. If there is another, do you think it will be a boy? :)

Hi Karen...Yes children are surely the greatest blessing from God and it just pains me when I hear of one getting abused.
I had my two daughters first and thought I would try one more time for a boy and low and behold the good Lord seen fit to send me one.
Now my grandchildren sorts alternated...grandaughter, grandson, grandaughter, gramdson and finally my littlest which is a grandaughter.

Hello my dear friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji,
Well, we both (myself and my hubby), have first two sons and lastly a daughter and both of our sons have a male and a female child, except that our daughter has only my grand-daughter, we always wish if God gifts her a son, our all desires to have all children and grand children will be over. But nothing is in our hand. We always have strong belief, if God wishes.
May god bless You and have a great time.

Hi Winzheng, I hope that dream comes true for you! My parents had two sets of twins, a boy and a girl, each time, so you never know :)

Hello Winzheng. I have heard of that law and I am curious to know...what if a woman has twins or triplets? Surely, it has to be okay to keep them all, yes? I feel bad for people who are limited that way. As long as one can take proper care of them, it should be okay to have more than one child. My best wishes to you.

Aww, they will hopefully outgrow this. I do believe that parenting is the most difficult job in the world, but it has also been the most rewarding one for me : )

I actually wanted only two kids, with the hope that they will be one boy and one girl. But since I gave birth to two boys, I might consider having another one, hopefully she will finally be a girl. If I still give birth to another boy then I will stop there, I don't want to give birth to too many kids because I kept hoping to have a girl.

Hello Silver. I hope you get your little girl, but yes, one cannot keep having babies in the hope for a particular gender. That might only mean they end up with 12 boys and still no daughter lol. Best of all wishes to you.

You are very blessed! I have a two year old daughter and am expecting a son any day now. My husband and I originally wanted a bunch of kids, at least 4. But this second pregnancy has been really tough on me and to top it off I am eight days overdue! So, my husband says he is done now that he has his son and daughter. We will see though, only time will tell if we're going to decide on more or leave it with our two.

hi peaceful,
I have 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren. I was content for 8 years with my oldest daughter who is now 32. And then I re-married and even tho I was on birth control, I found myself pregnant one right after the other with my next 2 daughters. A surprise to be sure but a beautiful surprise. And then lo and behold, a few years later....another little surprise. Not the best timing in my life but what a blessing she has been. I can't imagine my life without any of them. And my grandchildren...oh how much they have added to our lives!

Hi Sid.
The surprises I feel that God fully intends :) My last child was my surprise, as like you, I was on birth control and my youngest of two daughters was 5. But also like you, she has been a joy. I'd trade none of them :))

Hello friend,
I am not married yet. I am 24 and will get married somewhere in the next five years. I would like to have two children, a girl and a boy. I feel it gives great balance to the family and it is a complete family. You really are so blessed to have eight wonderful grandchildren. I just love kids and would stop by at the supermarket to play with any toddler that has come there with its parents.

i'm not married now, if i can afford, i want to have two children, one is a son, and the second is a daughter, but considered the government policy, we only can be have one child, so that no matter a son or a daughter is both ok, i will love him/her very well, good luck and have a nice day!

Hi Haiershen. Such a beautiful wish you have. I think I would pray to have twins, a boy and a girl! And then your wish comes true, and even the government cannot argue with God's will.
Best of all wishes to you.

If I could afford it I would love to have 4 kids total. Right now I have 2 beautiful little girls. We are on the fence about another one. I know if we wait too much longer I will start to enjoy the little bit of freedom I will start getting like going to the potty by myself again. We will see after this year.

I love your statement about going to the potty alone. I once read a thing called "A Mother's Prayer." It goes: Please dear God, just this once, let me poop in peace. lol
I am glad you love your kiddos.

I want to have three children, two girls and one boy. That would be my perfect for me. I know it's a bit unequal because the two girls could play with each other but the boy won't have a partner. Well, he can play with his dad. *^_^ Anyway, I hope that in the future I would be a great mommy.

Hi Mzj ... I loved having three children...all girls. It was fine, though one boy would have been good too, or however many lol. I think if you love children now and truly want your own one day, you'll be a good mom. :)
