Guys in bathrobes and slippers?

So, i used lived in a dorm for 2 years, and when it was cold i always wore my fuzzy bathrobe and homer simpson slippers around the dorm complex. I mean down to the laundry room, the dining hall, the halls, common areas, everywhere. People would stare alot, some people would comment or chuckle, I was comfy so i didn't care. It was absolutely a rare site to see any guy wearing a robe or fun slippers like mine
So, what would you do if you saw a guy dressed like this? Guys, would you dress like this around the dorms? Girls, how about you? Would you dress like this around dorms? Finally, are bathrobes and slippers more socially acceptable for girls to wear?

My opinion is that slippers are more appropriate for girls to wear, but the fact that they were Homer Simpson is awesome! Those are always appropriate. Anyone can wear a robe though.

i dont think some thing is needed to go for a bathroom... generally we use it when we r out of our place..

haha yes! my homer slippers. One of a few pairs of slippers that i have, definitely my favorite! I guess it is a confidence thing... I have one good friend from the dorms who wore a bathrobe would only wear her robe to the bathroom for her shower. The only other time she'd use it is if she came over to my room and we were hanging out and we'd both be in our robes and slippers. I got her to wander the halls with me like that a few times, but not often

I'm a guy and i used to wear a robe and slippers around when i lived in the dorms, not too often but when it was really cold. Some people would compliment me, and say that they were jealous, haha.
maybe a robe and slippers can seem feminine, but really they're not. More girls just happen to wear them than guys, or atleast are more open about it. I wouldn't think much of it, i can tell you, you're not the only guy who's not afraid to be seen in a bathrobe and slippers!

that's good to hear! see for me, it was very often that i did it. I usually changed into my pjs around 7 or 8 if i wasn't planning on going anywhere. When it started getting colder, pretty much anytime i left my room in my pjs, i'd have my robe and slippers on. In the morning too, if i went to breakfast, i'd go in my robe and slippers

I'd probably give a chuckle as well lol. But who cares, as long as it's comfy. Now, if you decide to wear socks and sandals or flip flops, that's whole other story, and I wouldn't let you live that one down :) I cringe every time I see some guy(usually it's men that's why I say that) wearing that.
