Quick Update After My Cataract Surgery Yesterday

hello KrauseHome, Good to know that your eye operation yesterday was succesful. It will take time really before you'll recover from it. For now, just relax and enjoy your vacation. For when your leave is over, surely you have a lot of work to be done since you were away for sometime. For sure your doctor told you some instructions that you need not to do for awhile. Just follow his advice and in no time after recovering, you can do everything that you want again. Take care and get well soon.

Hi, my dad had his cataract removed a few years ago. Thank goodness there weren't any complications. What's important for you now is to take care of your eyes. Avoid too much of sunlight, and you really need to wear sunglasses to protect those eyes. Take care ok?

I'm happy to hear that it all went well Krause and I hope you're feeling comfortable again soon. I did see your other discussion about this and after having LASIK done on my eyes a few months back, I do appreciate how worried we can get when it comes to procedures on our eyes. I know it's not the same thing as cataract surgery, but I was very nervous beforehand. The seeing better is well worth it all though!

WTG!!! I've only met one person who wasn't happy with his cataract surgery, and it wasn't the actual surgery, it was the fact that it was done 10 yrs apart and afterward he couldn't focus with both eyes at once, and it made him dizzy - and that had happened about 10 years before I met him, and THAT was about 15 yrs ago! So, you should do GREAT!

I haven't been reading much on myLot lately, so didn't know you were having cataract surgery. I'm glad to hear that you can already see better. I go in next tuesday to have my left eye done. There's a lot of damage to that eye because of glaucoma, but the Dr. says I should be able to see better after the cataract is removed. Then we'll think about working on the "good" eye. I'll be keeping you in my prayers, but your post has given me encouragement.

That's great news that both of your surgeries are behind you now! I'm so glad that they were both so successful and will keep you in my wishes for a total recovery. Just take the time you have off from work to enjoy yourself. I know how excited my sister was once she healed from her last cataract surgery. She was so thrilled at being able to see things that were impossible, even with glasses, before her surgeries. I'm so happy for you! Life should seem so much better for you now. I think that eyesight is probably the most important of all the senses and, even though I must wear glasses for both far and near vision, I'm thankful that I can still see to enjoy what nature has to offer. I had the intention of responding to your discussion yesterday when I saw it, KH, but I got side-tracked. I did remember you in my prayers, and I'm glad that your surgery went so well. My sister just had that type of surgery a few months ago and she is very happy with the results. I will continue to pray for your recovery.
