We have all heard the talk about 0bama not being eligible to be President and this is not a discussion about whether he is or isn’t. I was thinking this morning though, what if he is found not eligible or what if he is just kicked out or impeached. I think that with so many fanatics there would be riots and a lot of angry ppl. I think there may even be some ppl who decide to leave the country over it. I think the only affect it will have on me personally is the amount of confusion going on in the world as we try to settle things back down. If he is removed from office for whatever reason, what do you think will happen? Do you think there will be riots and such? How will it affect you personally? Will you riot, leave the country or what? Would you support the riots or be against them? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

This is such an old rumor that I no longer pay attention. He will not be removed from office and I really am disheartened to think that people would believe such junk. It seems to be continued by ignorant people who would rather listen to junk than truth. These are usually people who don't like him because of his race or his politics. If he were anyone but who he is we would not even care. There are always going to be those that will use any excuse to disrupt our country no matter what.

Actually it isn't an old rumor, it's simply a question that ppl have that he has so far refused to answer. It's not even that hard of a question. In honesty I'd rather question it then follow him blindly like a sheep. Regardless, as I said, this discussion isn't about whether he's eligible or not it's about IF he was removed from office for whatever reason would the 0bama fanatics resort to rioting b/c of it. BTW, you are right in that I don't like him but it has nothing to do with his race it's b/c I think he doesn't have the sense God gave a grapefruit. It is not a old rummer, it is a question that a lot of Americans have been asking but are not getting the answer to. and the same question was asked of other would be presidents that proved where they were born with out fighting it..McCain was one of them. And yes i would care about the Constitution no matter who it was. The question needs to be answered with the prof to back it up. Do you care about the Constitution of the United States......I do.

I'm not sure who you are referring to that should be sent out of the country? Do you mean ppl that are talking about the situation or ppl that are filing lawsuits or ppl that are questioning his right to be President? ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I must be in LaLa land or outer space or something, this is the first I have heard about this. Its true that I haven't been watching tv or following the news lately. If something does happen with him, I would hope people would have sense not to riot. I would never participate in a riot or think it is the right thing to do. Rioting is totally wrong.

I have heard the talk, and I do not think anything will come of it, until maybe later in history. I do not think one thing will change. I would not participate in riots, but would probably hide in my home.

I think there would be racial riots the likes of which we have never seen before. I would not support them in any way. The only way it would affect me would be family upsets, as my grandson-in-law is black, of which I would not become involved.

Aside from the fact that it will not happen no matter what the fanatics wish, there could be riots. While I would not leave the country because Biden would step in, but I would be saddened that idiots prevailed.I should have left when Reagan came into office as he ruined my career, as all research funding was dried up, and that was what I was in grad school for and one of the reasons I did not complete my Ph.D. My friends who had already graduated were out of jobs, so I went into market reasearch instead of doing need medical and psychological research evaluation. Yeah Reagan was fun, he declared ketchup was a veggie and could be used as such in children's school lunches.

not sure about the riots but I do think he needs removed! And the ones that left the country shouldnt be here at all. I doubt that a true American would do such a thing. We are fighting for our rights here the ones that are really God given and he wants to change it all . I want to stay free and do as I always have with out fear of being cencored on what I say or do. Just how any one can come in and try to change out Declaration of Independance I cant see it. It has stood for over 200 years so it should stand for the reast of time. None of our rights should be took from us. Thats one thing our troops are fighting for to give people thier rights to live the life they should!

I assume that the Obamamites would riot, for I get the idea that they did not care if he were legal or not. According to these fanatics, he should be the president and is the hope of America. As for the rest, they would be glad that he was removed before more damage was gone, but as for reversing the damage that was already done to the economy and to America's moral standard, I do not know if some of those laws that he signed could be reversed. It seems that once they are written, they are written in stone. And I suppose some of the Obamamites might decide to leave the country and unfortunately many Canadians, being leftists and into multiculturalism will welcome them. I would rather welcome the Americans here who leave because they are hurt by his policies. I would suppose that when he is removed, that there will be a lot of interspection is to why they chose him for president and that more attention will be given to the moral value and character rather then the ethnicity of the next American president. Oh I am also expecting a lot of happiness but happiness missed with sorrow when people recount their losses under him.

How do the poor Canadians get mixed up in this discussion? And thanks for tarring us all with the same brush...once again false information, I live here, have all my LIFE....I KNOW ONE HECK of a pile of Canadians....and I can't find a LEFTEST, OR MULTICULTARIST amongst them! As much as I respect you, I am repulsed at those remarks....sure glad I don't think of my good neighbours to the South in two false categories and "button-hole" them that way!

I think that the Hawaii birth certificate has been validated as authentic regardless of who or what is found. At this late date as you are quite right, too much would come undone. I think that the people trying to stir up that pot are just trying to make trouble. *

"Not eligible"? This is the first I've heard of it. What is the basis for the claim?

There is some questions as to his eligibility b/c he has never produced a valid US birth certificate and his own Grandmother stated that she was at his birth in the hospital in Kenya. According to our Constitution only a Natural Born Citizen can run for President. IF 0bama was born in Kenya he is not eligible to be President. There are many lawsuits going on across the country to make him produce the birth certificate but he is fighting them. This discussion however was about if he is kicked out of office for any reason, would there be riots by the 0bama fanatics. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Iran...Iraq..Afganistan...I think that some-one has started an un-necessary WAR here on myLot, pitting friends against friends! This certainly will be the last time I chime in on this discussion....as just reading some of the posts, I find them inflammatory....and it's not even my Country...but I feel pain! Let's stop the muck hurling and just let this play out! I don't think this is a topic for was is supposed to be a congenial site. Cheers!

twoey68.....I am surprised, I have heard nothing about this! Being a Canadian (specifically at British Columbian) none of your discussion has made our news! Sadly, if this is true, I personally think, it will be a very sad day, for America, Canada, and globally to see this gentleman demised! He has been a "good spirit" for the world! I truly hope NONE of this comes to fruitition! Cheers!

If he is found ineligble... it won't be figured out until his second term (the courts are never in "fast mode") so he just won't be able to run again. Anything he did in the past 4 years... will probably just be made as is and not be able to be "taken back" or sued upon or just reveresed. IF he can't provide a legal birth cert.. how can anyone be mad that he is impeached? He broke the law. And leave the country over it shoud it happen? Good.. go. If you don't have any more belief in your country than that or if one person is all you care about in this country... fine.. go find another country that will support you and give you the freedom the US gives and all the rest of it. You won't find it. that is why everone always comes here to the point of us being overcrowded... (Note: I use "you" as a descriptive pronoun, not directed at "you" as the author!)

I don't think there will be many riots--people would realize it's not a race thing but a matter of Constitutional law and that we have been bamboozled by a good con man. It would be a mess. All the bills he signed would be invalid, everything that's been done would have to be done again. I've heard many people say that people are laughing at us, particularly in Kenya, for electing someone who is not a natural born citizen. I think we've been willfully ignorant and been conned. It would be a real mess if the truth were found out! But I'd rather the truth be found than set a precedent for having a non-natural born citizen be eligible to lead the nation.

It would be a huge mess and I think your right in that he's nothing more than a good con man and he committed a huge fraud against the country. I also think that he, his wife and anyone else that knew the truth needs to be held accountable. It also brings in the question of what do we do with him if he's tossed out? Do we just let him go with all the state secrets or do we keep him put away where he can't give the information to anyone else? I don't doubt at all that other countries are laughing at us...it's like a whole lot of sheeple being led around. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I am sorry but I disagree as I have spoken to many black Americans who support Obama purely because of his skin color. They do not have a clue about Constitutional law. On that basis I do believe there would be serious rioting.

OOPS. I forgot to add that I ferverently agree you that the truth be found before it is too late. I can see future historians having a field day with all the warning signs being ignored in making Obama president.

If this was to happen god forbid there will be riots in the streets from California to New York, plain and simple and I would support them 110%. I just don't think anyone would have let this pass by without confirming that he was eligible. I'm sure there were people looking for something so he couldn't be President but they couldn't find anything. Which I'm sure they were upset about. This is my belief.

I've just looked at the constitution again and he is eligible 'No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.' I would imagine that he has been 14 years resident in the U.S. and over 35. He is eligible because he is either a Citizen of the United States OR A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN (it doesn't state where he has to be a natural born citizen of), I would assume that most people believe that means a natural born citizen of the United States, but the word 'or' could widen that considerably to just about anyone in the world. It could just be that the comma's have been placed wrongly, so it would take constitutional and language legal experts to define it properly. There have already been a number of presidents who were not born in the United States, the first few because they were born British Citizens (before independence), and some who were born in territories which joined the U.S. later. Incidentally John McCain may not have been elegible to be be president either as he was born on a U.S. base in Panama, so would not be a natural born U.S. citizen.

Keep reading down the page for the Article 11 section 1, I took American Government the term before last and the 2009 edition has the constitution in it, below the paragraph that your talking about this is what it says: This provision of Article 11 is referred to as the presidential eligibility clause. In addition to setting out the age and resident requirements of presidential aspirants, this clause defines who may not run for president-any foreign-born individual who has nonetheless obtained United States citizenship. For example, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, who has lived in the United States since she was four years old, may not run for president because she was born in Canada. The same is true for California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was born in Austria but has lived in the United States his entire life. It also stated in the book that since 2003,that they have been debates about The Equal Opportunity to Govern Amendment, This part of the Amendment would strike the natural-born citizen clause from the constitution and replace it with a 20 year citizenship requirement. This has not been passed yet. McCain was eligible because both his parents were US citizens, according to this book.

I think that his stupid supporters would probably stage a few riots, which is fine with me as long as it is their own neighborhoods that they are burning down. In the end however, we would get back on track while the criminal fraud cases against 0bozo and his co-conspirators proceed. As for me, I while point and laugh at every liberal I come into contact with.

The only personal affect would probably be that the economy will bounce back? LOL! I didn't vote for him (and it has everything to do with policy and agenda, NOTHING ELSE) and I wouldn't now, especially given how far downhill things have gone with the big change thing. I wouldn't be angry at all. I would say 'I told you so'. I would say that anybody rioting or actually leaving was silly. I suppose it wouldn't bother me if people left though, that's perfectly fine. If someone is that upset, then they aren't in support of this country anyway, so they don't really belong here. *shrug*

I do not see why anyone would riot, or leave the country, none of that happened when it happened to Nixon, when he stepped down, before they could impeach him. If Obama has to step down, or is impeached, this country will go on, and we will get another President. and every thing will go on........
