How fast can you type and how accurate are your typings?

I studied touch typing (@ home, myself) 6 months ago... starting at mere 30wpm Now i type around 90wpm and accuracy - above 97%

well i am quite fast around 80-90 wpm and my acc is always between 90 and 100

Lol I actually learned how to type on Habbo Hotel when I was younger. If anyone heard of Habbo Hotel then good for you :P I can type 65 words per minute. I do make a few mistakes but I'm getting more accurate as the days go by. I still have a tendency to look down on the keyboard while I type but I keep on practicing.

I just now went to typingtest.com, for the first time ever testing my speed. NO LYING. It was my first test. My net speed was 47 WPM and my accuracy was 97%. I don't type like normal I only use three of my fingers on each hand and it is a lot different than the normal way you are supposed to learn. I also stare at the keyboard when I am typing so I have to look back up. So I can type faster when I am on mylot because I am not reading and looking back down to type I am simply typing off of the top of my head, Just as I am doing right now! I can type around 70 words per minute. I've reached 80 words per minute before, but that was on an ergonomic keyboard and better/more ideal conditions. My accuracy is pretty good, too. I try to make my corrections as I go along. I suppose that probably slows me down, though.

I use to work as a data entry staff in a company before and I can type 40 wors per minute with 98% accuracy on my typing details. I don't type that really fast but my work accuracy is what matters to my employers. I use to type personal data sheets of goverment workers.

there was a similar discussion long ago, and i was 40+ wpm at that time. now i average 58-65 wpm, i improved! haha! with the typing tests online, i always get 100% percent accuracy, i think because the paragraphs are too short and the test spans for around 1-3 minutes so there is no room for errors. but when i type a really long document, of course errors are inevitable thought still minimal.

I learned to type when I was in High school. I was rated at about 20 wpm. but I am not alwasy acurate. I do misspell some words.

I haven't tried but I know it's not accurate and not that fast.

Hi, Interesting question. I have not paid atttention to the typing speed of mine for a long time. I ever checked this out when I was in the university. That was on a class. I still and remember that I ever played a game during my high shool which let you type wordls in the screen. The mobiling velocity of the words in the screen are more and more quickly as time goes by. A lot of fun.

Well my friend you can type faster than me. I too tested myself and found that my speed is only 30-38 words per minute which is quite poor compared to others. And my accuracy is about 88%. I am trying to increase my typing speed but I can't figure out how. I guess I just need to keep typing as much as I can.

I just went onto the TypeRacer site and discovered that my typing speed ranged from 80 - 85 wpm. My accuracy, however, was always above 95%, which is pretty decent. I don't think I type that fast normally, though. I think that because I was copying something it was easier to go faster. Right now as I type this I would guess that I'm only going about 60wpm. Did anyone else discover this also?
