Hehehe I remember to have Monday sickness when I was still a kid. Every time it's Monday I would tell my aunt that I'm not feeling well and that I need to be absent from school when the truth is, I just feel lazy having to go back to school every Mondays.
I think almost everyone experiences that. It's either Monday or Friday sickness. I guess the reason is the feeling of laziness and the hang overs of the weekend's opportunity to rest is still there. I mean who wouldn't want to have a lot of time to rest, well, everyone does.
Ciao!

I think the weekend should be Sunday and Monday, then I guess we'd start hating Tuesdays. LOL. What I hate about Monday is, I cannot do whatever it is that I wanted to do on Saturday and Sunday that I wasn't able to do... When Monday steps in, It's a landslide of nerve-wracking, pressure-crunching, gut-twisting work...

I don't really hate Mondays but most of my Mondays are quite boring days. And it so happens that I have lots of work on Mondays, LOL..
The weekends are more awesome, even though I have to work at times, I feel like I have so much 'relax' moments. Work is not that hectic on weekends and I am able to have some skiving moments.

I don't hate Mondays but instead I like Mondays because after 2 days of leave from work you can now have the work and have some fun in your work. I don't like to stay at home because it is so boring. You are just there sitting and have some movies to watch but unlike you are in your work where you can have all the fun all day.

LOL. Fridays are the best. The anticipation of what to do on the weekends is summed up on Friday nights. Thanks for responding Jhelaichie.

Hi Redhornet, It don't matter to me anymore since I am retired, but a great many people hate Mondays. It is said that more heart attacks occur on Monday morning than at any other time during the week because many people are returning to work at a job that they hate doing.Blessings,

Yup, I used to hate Mondays when I was working full-time. In fact, the feeling of misery and dread would start from Sunday evenings, when I think of the next day (Monday) - that I would have to wake up early and join the **** traffic jam. And so it went on every single week.
Now that I'm working part-time, my Mondays aren't so bad.

Yes!I have a hectic work schedule till Saturday.Between Saturday and Monday I get only a single day to catch up with my friends or chat on the phone for hours with my boyfriend. So the weekend basically for me is just Sunday.Every Monday morning I wake up with the realization that this is the beginning of another long week of pressure, tension and workload. That realization itself is depressing for me.That is why I hate Mondays.Nice question I must say!Have a great day. :-)

Yeah...monday starts the looooong week. I don't get it though, I'm OK with Tuesdays and the rest of the week, but not with Monday. LOL. Must be the good weekend or vacation still pulling me in.

I don't hate Mondays, but there are times when I don't like them much either. Some days of the week start off badly and I will say "I'm having a Monday." It just depends. Mondays always seem to be jarring; it's right after a weekend of relaxation and sleeping in, and then BOOM! back to the ol' grind. They can be almost disorienting, like I wasn't expecting them but then there they are again!

Since i work in retail, mondays really don't have any sort of effect on me, as i rarely have a whole weekend off. Though i do understand what is like to dread going back to work aftr having a couple of days off, or even worse after coming off of a vacation week. It can be difficult to get back into work mode after having so many days where you could sleep in!! (and i DO love to sleep in!)

I dont have any strong feelings against mondays or any other particular day of the week. It depends what I'm doing on any given day in a specific week. Its unusual for me to have both weekend days off work so Mondays dont signal the end of a weekend for me. As it happens, my "weekend" is going through to Thursday lunchtime this week.

I don't like mondays, but it kind tiring day for me after having a very restful day on the weekend. It kind difficult to adjust a brand new day after being so carefree and do the thing I like whenever I like during the weekends. It also depend on the your work day, if your work day start on Tuesday, maybe you will not hate Monday as much as Tuesday. But Monday always make me realized how much I have wasted my time doing nothing beneficial.

Yes, I also hate Mondays. After such a great weekend of relaxing and sleeping in, it's depressing to wake up on a Monday morning and realize I have to go to class or work. My mood on a Monday, compared to a Thursday or Friday is dramatically different! If only the weekends could be just a little bit longer. That would be nice.
