The more post I write, the more I respond to and read other peoples responses, I am starting to see most peoples true motivation to be here. You can tell if someone is here for just the money when their response clearly shows that they only read the title of the post not the actual post. I think most people are here just for the money. Which I can't say anything bad about that I am sure that is what brings most people here in the first place. But it really sucks when the issues you write are from your heart, or you want a real opinion and they just comment to earn some change. I read a post my first day on here talking about peoples motivations to be here. Now I get why the guy was kinda irritated with people just being here for money. I quickly realized that there was much more to mylot then earning some extra cash. There are interesting people who could become your friends or simply just give you some good advice. And my advice is look for more and you will find more.

I will have to admit that my motivation for this site was to make money. Now that I have started getting into it a little heavier, it is more about me giving my advice, opinion, and my thoughts. Yes I do write from the soul and not from some line that I saw before. I really enjoy this site and will continue to write. I hope to find a few good friends. Other mylotters need to put more an effort into what they write, because a lot of discussion are real and need real advice on what to do about something.I look forward in reading and responding to discussions.

Hi Natnickeep,
Welcome to myLot. I didn't know about the earning part when I first stumbled upon a myLot discussion. I got really interested and signed up. I only noticed the number at the top of the page after my third post - it was then that I realized how great this site is - you learn and earn here at the same time. The information alone that are available can get you hooked, and the money that goes with each post makes it all the more worthwhile.

On this site especially, people are looking for many different things. I came here hoping to earn a living, I knew right away that it would not happen, but I grew roots and stayed, my mind and heart were engaged by the interaction with so many people. I am not going to get disgruntled with the people who are happy to just earn a little, because in their country that little may buy a month's worth of food. Mostly I do not run into them in my discussions or in the ones I post to. I try to give substantial input when I respond, and help anyone that I think I can.

Besides earning in mylot, people are very much concerned in responsing to the discussions in a motivating way. Many responses of mine motivated me.

I know it can be really disheartening when you come on here really looking for some good advice or needing some encouraging words from someone and all you get is simple little responses that make it obvious that the people did not read the post and just responded. I have gotten some really good advice on here, and I truly hope that I have given some useful advice to others on here. There is a wealth of knowledge we can all share on here.

Thanks. I am glad I got responses like this. Makes me feel like there are only a few people who don't bother reading the post, just comment as quickly as possible. I have had some great discussions with people so far.

I'd be lying if I said that the money wasn't a small motivation for me, but I like chatting with people. Some of the subjects are really interesting and there are people, like me, who do some here for advice or help with something. It annoys me to see canned answers to questions or they'll ask or say something that was told in the post, so obviously they didn't read the entire discussion topic. Why they bother I have no idea. My time is more valuable that 10-20 cents a day. I could make more money taking aluminum cans to recycling! lol The money is icing on the cake for me. I just like the conversations and advice.

Honestly I joined for the money and Im still here for them money, HOWEVER, I truly enjoy mylot and reading and answering the discussions and learning new things. I have also found some people so interesting! Would I stay here if there wasnt money, probably however I wouldnt be here as often as I have an on-line diary that I write in and have some great friends there that I have gotten really close too.

Hello friend
I would be dishonest if I said I am not here for the money but still, I am proud to say that my performance here has been completely honest. Whenever I respond to a discussion, it is from my heart. I would not write some absurd lines just to make up the words.I try to concentrate on meaningful, long posts.

I didn't think about this seriously. Motivation? I think here is a good place for relaxation. We can join the discussion, share some funny stories and even get help from other people. I read the topic that I interested in or some discussion that my friends have started.....I don't think I can earn much money here so it's not my concern...
Have a nice weekend!

I can say that when I first came here it was for the money, but now, it is for much more than that. I came here to learn from others and to help others when they need it. Sharing my ideas with people from all over the world is great as there are lots of diversities of cultures in here, that I learn something new everyday. I have also made lots of friends on here and I am thankful for all of them too. Mylot is such a great place to be that I really don't want to be anywhere else. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
