My brothers make the loudest munching noises, i try not to voice it, because when your eating, you should enjoy yourself, the food processes better, its healthier to eat food in a good mood, so if i tell them, you guys are so disgusting, they might frown and continue but still.
I once had a friend who munched pretty loudly. I remarked on it jokingly once, she said in her country, making munching noises is a way of saying the food is delicious. we---lll... i didn't know that.
so be honest.. do you munch loudly?

My grandmother used to tell me that i munch loudly. But i do not hear myself so i can not control it. What country does your friend belong to? I know somewhere here in Asia, when your sipping your soup, you must made this loud sipping sound like *sszzhooooopppp* With the same reason, to let other people know that what you eat is delicious.

The only sounds that I make are when I'm chewing on chips because chips are naturally loud. But other than that I do not make any munching sounds. I think the one sound that really annoys me is when people slurp soup abnoxiously and whatnot.

Ugh. I never make noises when I eat, not that I know of anyway.
I had a friend, though. She always made noises when she ate. She would stuff her face, and moan, and it was kind of embarrassing to me because I didn't know how to react when someone would look at me and wonder if I had heard her too. I don't think she realized that she was making so many noises.

i think i dont munch loudly. but i do eat quicker than the others around me.
well, i remember in the old dynasty in our country, there was a rule that the girls esp the daughers of the rich or the dignitary or the royal, should eat sliently, even when eating the soup, very strict house rules.

Not unless I am eating something that no matter how you eat it, its going to make a noise. Like Popcorn, Chips, things like that. As a child we had to eat in silence, if not we went without eating as well as some kind of punishment.

I do some mucnhing noises, but i cant really help it. But my dorm mate, he's the craziest muncher in the whole world! He wakes up in the morning at weekends, goes to computer and he has some cheerious in his cup, and it drives me crazy since he wakes me up with that annoying crunching. But thats not all.. When he's almost finished, he slurps the milk very noisily. And he did this every damn weekend morning last year, luckily not in the same room next year.
But yeah, he was maybe the best dorm mate I have ever had

I was told once when I was at a friends for lunch when I was around 10 years old that I was chewing super loud . Not sure on that tho , because it was a hoagie and she was just annoyed with everything LOL
Yesterday I was at a bbq and eating grilled carrots and an array of many other veggies and just for the hell of it asked if you could hearmy crunching LOL no one could , but I could and it seemed loud!

ten year olds day a lot of stuff to annoy each other. haha.
we hear ourselves munch more, due to the fact that our mouth and ears are side-by-side. so you hearing yourself is a magnified version of what other hear. lol. what were you doing having carrots in a BBQ????? hahah. get some meat dude.

It irritates me when somebody is eating and munching noises are coming.. :-(.. Its right tat making noise while having food, indicates a delicious. But making more noise indicates a bad habit.

hi dex! from where i grew up, my grandma and parents would always emphasize proper table etiquette. munching loudly is considered a bad manner. so while i was growing up, i was trained to eat my food silently. however, now that i have a busy lifestyle, i'm not really sure if i munch loudly while eating because i eat really fast. i can eat a food in like less than 3 minutes. i might try to observe that and see if anything has changed. well, at least nobody has told me yet that i sound like a pig while eating. i do know a lot of people who eat like that. even my siblings or cousins do that. and if that happens i tell them bluntly to stop it.

you could always migrate to japan or south east asia. but over there, they eat a lot of soupy stuff. noodles and soup, you won't believe the variety of soup and noodles they have there. personally i'm not much into noodles. If you are, then that's your perfect home there. lol. thanks for sharing.
