I am Proud to Announce that I Found it!

After much fasting and prayer I am proud to announce that I finally found spell check. Many thanks to those who gave me advice on how to down load it because I did down load it but hadn't realised that it was down loaded. If you get what I mean. If your mother was Irish then you have the genes to understand this immediately. It was there all the time, albeit hidden in an unidentified tab so when I press the tab out pops spell check. I feel so please with myself. Perhaps because I ws 14 before I ever saw a television so I am quite archaic but trying to learn everything that I can. Have you done something today that made you feel proud of yourself? I will use this post to say that I am not receiving your posts and have reported this to Mylot. I still have my boss terrorising me but perhaps by next week I can get together with you all again more frequently. If he decides to stay on residence for another week then I will definitely consider slitting my throat.

Cynthi, this friend is also my mother. I was going to start a discussion telling everyone but with me not feeling well I just have not done it yet. Thank you for what you have done. I am doing alright, not up to par yet but hope to be soon.

Well today I am getting my notifications! Woo Hoo! And I am so proud of you that you figured it out.....well today I worked so haven't really had the chance to do anything that I am particularily proud of but hopefully later when I am designing cards I'll come up with something good. I barely walked in the door and the phone was ringing....my sister just got the news that she is going to be a grandma for the first time!!!!! Woo Hoo! Now I want to make a congrats card to send to her..she has been waiting a looooooong time!

Congratulations to your sister. I can understand her excitement. I wish that I had some talents like you possess. I did use to sew - made my own wedding dress - but do not do anything creative now except writing. I am sure that your cards will be wonderful. You are definitely an all-rounder

Spell check for what? If you're wanting to spell check as you type in the browser, Firefox has built in spell check support...

It is always good to learn something new and it stimulates the old brain cells too

I have Mozilla Firefox which has a built in spell check for anything you type. It works the same as the spell checker on Microsoft Word and it's really convenient! I'm glad you are taking the time to get a spell checker, it really improves your writing and can help teach you spelling at the same time!

I am really dumb with technology although I do try hard to learn something new all the time. So I just felt proud of myself that I could do it.

Hey cynthiann, I am glad you found the spell check. Now can you let me know how to find this, because I am still strugling with my spellings, and this will help me a lot.

Now, now, Cynthiann you are supposed to slit HIS throat not your own. Congrats on finding spell check. I know it was driving you crazy not being able to find it on your computer. I know you don't get my notifications. We have been over that before. No one does. I am cursed by myLot. I have not been on here too much lately anyway. I have had so much junk on my plate to deal with I have just not had time.

Actually, I had changed my mind about slitting my throat ands slitting his as yesterday he called me old and scatterbrained! I think that I am looking so good these days. do I have your email? I can't remember as I am scatterbrained! Send it to me and I will send you a photo of me and you will see that I am not old! well, maybe chronologically but not physically! I so wanted to slap his face. I reported to Mylot a list of people whose notifications I am not receiving and of course you headed the list. have not been posting these past 2 weeks because god is in residence. anytime you want to let off steam then pm me. Do you have my personal email address?

Opera 10 also comes with a spell check that is automatic, there's no need to activate it.

Oh My! This is a very old discussion indeed. This is what happens when I skip around on what I respond to! Hopefully I can get all of these done today, as long as I don't goof off. Glad you found spellcheck though I think I was more a confusion then anything, and hope your time around the big dog on campus was swift!

He told me to day that I was old and scattered! I hope that he leaves on Monday so I just have tomorrow and Saturday morning to get through. I pressed the tag beside bookmarks and it came up and I am so happy to find it as my fingers are stiffer now and I do misspell frequently

Goodness gracious that it took some time for you to figure it out. But you did. I think no body did suggest you to check on the tab button, so it not you who is archaic but we who claim to know it all, and I am the first one to be slaughtered, how couldn't I guess it, probably I am toooo ancient. Try to be more frequent he dear friend it is nice to have you around. Bodhi

Hi cynthiann! I knew I hadn't seen you lately but I'm glad you're back. I figured you must have been busy with work, though. I had spell check when I first got this computer but I seem to have lost it now. I don't know what happened to it. I really don't need it that much because I never had that much of a problem with spelling. It's getting to the point now where I will occasionally forget how to spell a certain word so it would be nice to have it back. How did you download yours, btw? Kathy.

He tried to get rid of me ;last year and started harassing me and started a smear campaign but the owners where I work know that I am hard working and they like me. I think that he wanted a younger person for the job as I am up for retirement and her would not have to pay a younger women so much money. He would love for me to leave but I really need the job for 3 more years to pay for my house and car before I could retire. So I have to pout up with his abuse and sometimes it just gets to me and raises my blood pressure and I feel ill. Anyway, he will suffer one day for the pain and hurt that he is putting me through. Blessings

I always had trouble with employers not being very patient with me when I worked. I don't mind being told if I'm doing something wrong. I just want to be told in a more tactful way. The last job I had before I started getting SSI was as a delivery driver for Papa John's Pizza and I enjoyed that job. That is the best way to look at it. There's going to be a judgment day someday. Kathy.

Why, you're not an idiot. You are learning something all the time. I don't know why I didn't think about googling it. I will have to try that and see what happens. Your boss must really be something else, lol It's a shame he won't let you take a lunch break. When I worked as a motel front desk clerk, we didn't get a lunch break, either. We just had to eat while we worked. Kathy.
