Do you have a garbage disposal?

Ahhh..the luxoury of a garbage disposal, how i miss having one. I hate having to scrape plates and dishes into the trash, hoping that it doesn't get too smelly before trash day. I really miss it in the summer. I live in an apartment and we only have trash pick up once per week, and have no dumpster outside to put the full trashbags in until that time. that means they sit in my "mud room" near my main entrance until i can take them out side (i don't dare put them out before hand, lest animals decide to get a free meal from them and make a mess). When the summer months get warm, sometimes the smell can get uite offensive before i can put them out and have them removed. If only i could just wisk the smelly, offending food remains down the drain, flip a little button and have it ground up and washed away! Not to mention the nasty-ness i must endure to clean out the drain in my sink when something accidently gets dumped in there that shouldn't go down the drain for fear of clogging! ewwww...i hate that part...

Yes I do have a garbage disposle. I use it very often about every time I eat dinner. I have never cleaned it. I didn't think they needed to be cleaned, it never smelled bad or got clogged or anything, so I see no point. I think I would be able to go on without it. All I would have to do is throw my extra food scraps in the garbage. Not that hard.

Yes we have one, but do not use it all the time. I can go through days without touching it to be honest. We use fruit peels sometimes to clean it out.

I had one when I lived in an apartment but I do not have one since we bought our house. We really don't need it. And the veggies & peels you send down the drain, I save them up in a coffee can and put them in my compost bin for my garden. I paid for it once & I'm going to get my last penny out of it and use it as fertilizer once it's decomposed for my garden & flower beds.

I do have a garbage disposal and yes I would be disappointing if I didn't have one.It would be so hard to get all that stuff drained down. So yes I would be disappointing if I didn't have one. I never did didn't have a garbage disposal. I had one for all my life.

I absolutely have a disposal! I stayed with a family member for a week a while ago, and they didn't have one. I kept having to clean out the drain! GROSS!!! We have five kids in this house. I much prefer the disposal to having all that food in the garbage can. What would I do without it??

I wish I had one! All the time I was living with my parents we had a garbage disposal. But no where that I have lived after have I had one. It's so much better to just be able to dump the food down the drain and turn on that switch! Oh well, at least I have a dishwasher. I'm grateful for that.

I have had a garbage disposal ever since I could remember. All the apartments I have lived in have had one. When I was 7 and youunger, we lived in a house but I didn't know if we had a garbage disposal or not. Now I live in a townhouse and I have a garbage disposal. If I didn't have one, I guess I would just freeeze my garbage.

I dont have one but would use it if I did. We use a lot of vegetables so after peeling and such all I can do is throw them away which yes if I have them like the day after trash is picked up it can stink by the next pick-up. Luckily our trash is outside after a bag is full.

Yes we do have a garbage disposal. However, in our area, it is still new and not all people are doing it. I am quite happy with the program considering that it really helps the environment. I just hope that everyone will be responsible enough to his part to make the program succesful.

Yes we have one and honestly it never occurred to me to clean it out unless something was either stuck or stinky. I guess I could deal if I didn't have one...

This is the first apartment I have had where I have had a working garbage disposal. I love it! I hate throwing out food because if I don't take out the trash immediately, it will start to stink! Now, with the disposal I can just throw it down the drain! Saves plastic bags, too!

We don't have one and it's not common for a house to has that here (though sometimes I wish we do since my cats love to trash the trash can) Most of the times, the trash will be accumulate to feed the chicken the next day. For others will be thrown into the trash hole outside (not we don't have garbage truck in my area too. What to expect from a village?)

It's good to have one but in our country people just don't have any garbage disposal . We put all kinds of garbage into the trash together. Ye it smells very much sometimes . People here just don't have the sense to do it because the government hasn't made any efforts to carry out such a policy . It's a pity .

It is certainly a great thing when you have the task of cleaning out the refrigerator and getting rid of food that was not eaten. I used to hate to do taht job, because then noone would want to carry out the trash because it smelled so bad. Now when hubby and I are doing this job that we hate, we simply throw it down the disposal and be done with it.

Yes, I have one. I have lived where I didn't have one and it was annoying because I stuff everything down that thing and laugh with delight when I flick the switch. Grrr, crunch, whizz, whirl whirl, grind. I love it, I need it. I hate to throw things away, I love shredding papers too.

I really like our garbage disposal. I use it every day. You can also sprinkle some baking soda or even white vinegar down the drain to cut down on any foul smells.

Yes, we have one garbage disposal.. where we dispose all the wastage things into it.. and once in a week we also dispose whatever in the garbage disposal...

Well, I usually have a garbage barrel to dispose my trash. that's it, I guess it's not necessery to own a special disposal to get rid of the garbage, and that's the envionmental insitution should do.
