Hi there, well I like to put whip cream on strawberries. Another thing that I do is cut them in half, then put condensed milk and all purpose cream and you have a sweet and delicious strawberry salad. I also like to put strawberry on top of my ice cream. I put hersheys chocolate syrup and wala! yummy ice cream with strawberry topping. You can also mix strawberry and crunchy apple and put all purpose cream and condensed milk. I can also put strawberries in my oatmeal.

When I have strawberries I like to have them with a little bit of vanilla ice cream. I prefer to have ice cream to squirty cream or carnation cream. I might also have them with a little sweetener.

Sounds like some one has a lot of strawberries...lol. My favorite way of using up fruit is to make smoothies. Here is a dessert version that's a favorite. For each serving use 6 strawberries, and 1/2 cup each of yogurt, ice cream and milk. Blend the strawberries and milk 1st, then add the other ingredients. Bananas or other fruits can be added/used. Peach melba smoothies would use fresh peaches and raspberries (or preserves). I've also poured this into containers and frozen immediately after mixing. All this said...I think the BEST way to us up strawberries is to have a HUGE strawberry shortcake dinner and invite all of us myLotters

I like strawberries plain, in cereal, in sugar, or covered with melted chocolate. My favorite ice cream is strawberry and my favorite dessert overall is strawberry short cake. Its funny how much I love strawberries in all ways, but it is not my favorite fruit. In fact its not even in the top 5. I guess because other fruits just don't mix well with other foods. Imagine mango short cake or honey dew melon ice cream, it doesn't even sound good.

I likes to eat them. My mom will make a yummy desert. She gets an angel food cake, 2 containers of strawberries, a big container of cool whip, 2 packages of the strawberry glaze. She tears the angel food cake up in good size chunks. She also cleans and slices up the strawberries, she mixes up the strawberries in the glaze. she then layers the ststrawberries, cool whip and cake in a big bowl, she then tops it with the remaining cool whip, lets it chill for a few hours. It is so good and gets eaten up quickly.

I do love my strawberry shortcake!! Outside of doing that, I also slice some of mine and put it on a scoop of ice cream. I like to put some sliced on top of cheesecake too...yum!! Lately though, we've been making a fruit salad with strawberries in with the melon, watermelon, kiwis, and grapes. No matter how you slice them, strawberries are great this time of year when they're in season and inexpensive! I used to make my own strawberry jam when my girls were little and we grew our own. (Now I'm just as happy to buy it already made lol.)

When I have strawberries, I like to melt chocolate, and dip them in it. Milk chocolate, or white chocolate are both wonderful. I have a real French Canadian fondue pot that my Aunt, a French Canadian from Quebec, gave me, and it works like a charm for doing chocolate covered strawberries.

Strawberries have been 77 cents a pound off and on all summer long so I have been enjoying them alot. I like them plain, or with angelfood cake! I also slice them in my "healthy" cereal. I sliced some and froze them for this winter.. just one bag fulla s I don't have a large freezer anymore. DId the same with some blue berries. I should have learned how to make a smoothie with them. The kids would have loved that.. me to probably! And a strawberry pie. Thse are great. I make blue berry muffins with the blue berries on sale, you could slice the strawberries and put them in instead of the blue berries like I did. Come to think of it, if they go on sale again, I will do that. I had some in mini loafs and put them in the freezer.

I never add sugar to my strawberries. They are sweet enough for me. I always put them in my cereal. Makes the cereal extra good. I also make strawberry pancakes on the weekends. Sometimes I'll make a smoothie with the strawberries too. Of course you can always make some strawberries dipped in chocolate. YUMMY!

My very favorite is to cut them up, like you said, with some sugar to make some wonderful juice. Next, make some shortcake biscuits. So to do, I use the Clabber Girl recipe. I really think once you have strawberry shortcake made this way (maybe with some whipped cream on top!), it will spoil you for having it any other way! Other than that, I love adding them to my oatmeal in the morning, just slicing them to have for a treat/snack, or freezing them. Just hull them, and freeze. Then, when you want a frozen treat, just pop one in your mouth, maybe dipped in some water, then sugar if you don't like unsweetened things.

Every time I buy the straberries, I will wash them first, and then put them in a basket, and begin to eat directly, because I know strawberries can't store a long time. After I see the others' answer, maybe next time I can add some condensed milk before I eat, maybe look more delicious. happy mylot!

I like to use fresh strawberries, light lemonade, and crushed ice to make a smoothie, it is really good. I also dip them in sugar and use them to make my own strawberry shortcake with angelfood cake and frozen whip cream.
