Do you have the habit of observing your neighbors activities or business?

I do always get to feel this before every time i go out and go back inside my house. We had a very nosy neighbor before. Like there is nothing they won't know. Every time i buy something , or carry something like groceries or anything, they will see me walking home and i will be scanned by their eyes from the top head to the sole of toes as i pass them towards the door of my home. It was pretty difficult to have had such nosy neighbors specially if you are not into good terms with them. i am a very private person i don't like looking through the window and peep to see who was the visitors who came to their door or who paid them a visit. sometimes one visitor came to our door and she was just about to know the neighbour shouted there is no one home. and i heard and i immediately went out to open the door.
Have you had the habit of observing your neighbor? have you experience more than just a look and had experience more like an invasion of privacy.?

I have a few neighbors like that. I don't observe other people, but sometimes police are at a few of the businesses near me, then I look. he business across the street had a few police a couple months ago and they had taser's out. They must have been looking for someone. I have no idea what happened, but it was over pretty quick. Things like that observe. But to watch someone just for fun or to be nosy, that's not me.

Hi hotsummer, I've had the good fortune of living in the same area for more than thirty years now, and have to say that my neighbours are excellent. Sometimes people have very noisy people living around them and it can be very frustrating. My only advice is to ignore them as much as possible, and try not to let them get to you but I know that can't be an easy thing to do. Blessings.

I had a neighbour who would come to my door to 'borrow' the local newspaper. When I went into the house to fetch it, she would follow me and, if there were birthday/anniversary cards on display, she would pick them up and read them all. So, when it was my husbands birthday, knowing that she disapproved of bad language and references to any bodily function, I bought him the rudest card I could find. Sure enough, she saw the cards standing on the window sill and knocked for the newspaper. My brother had sent a card which mentioned passing wind - she tutted and said, "you're husband has some very rude friends". All the time, I was just making polite comments about the weather and local news items. Then she read the front of mine and muttered that it was disgusting filth... she just glared when she saw that it was from me!! BUT, she never just walked into my house and nosed around again!

No... I don't like to do that, when I see my neighborhoods, if we have eye contacts,we will say Hi and greet but I dont like to observe what they are doing in their yard, I think it is not so polite an dI would feel weird about observing others because I won't like them to observe me back so... I don't do that, I almost avoid to go to the yard when they are out as well, don't like to chit chat with megihtboors too much.

nope.unless they do something over there that's potentially dangerous to my property,i pay them no mind.
we did have to report one guy several houses over for roman candles though.
he was firing them at people's houses.they're illegal to begin with here.

Hi hotsummer...I had an emergency last night and if it weren't for my neighbors seeing the ambulance outside our home it would have made it a bit worse. They followed us to the hospital and helped us through the emergency. I know your neighbors might seem nosy but in the long run it's better to have people around you that know everything because this way they can spot the time when something is wrong.

I believe that one should not peep into neighbours activity. if they need your help ,surely go and help them but it is a bad habit to interfere in their daily routine. We are extremely busy in our schedule so we don,t have time for such activities.

No i don't have the habit of observing my neighbors at all and my neighbors are all nice persons. Before we don't have a baby we seldom talk to each other . But early this year we both gave a birth to a kid we become more and more familiar . We will go out to have a walk and talk about anything about the kids . We share a lot of experience and happiness.

I never observe the activities of my neighbour since everybody will be having their own business or something extradinaory which they may not like to know by others. this is the main reason for not observing neighbours activity.

I'm not a nosy person- I always keep to my own business. However, i have had a problem with extremely nosy neighbors before- I would spot them peeking out the window, with their eyes darting around. One time, I even received a bank statement that was actually cut open and taped back together! If it was the mailman or the neighbor, i wouldnt know.

My neighbors are my tenants. I can be quite busybody and anyone that enters my gate will get my attention. Because of bad experience I had when an intruder entered my compound in the pretext of looking for house for rent but in actual fact was a thief trying to steal a parked bicycle in one of the houses.

I am not a nosy p erson but sometimes a nosey neighbor
can actually be a Godsend. In the apartment complex where
I was last before being evicted there were few nosy neighbors
and several people elderly who lived alone.well one day this
elderly man who lived alone fell, and fractured his hip.if his rather nosy older lady neighbor had not snooped and heard him
cry for help he might have lain there for hours before anyone
knew. she saw he was down and went to the manager who had a key and who immediately called the paramedics. all because she cared
enough

If I hear lots of noises outside my door I look through the peep hole to see what's going on, but other than that I don't pay any attention what my neighbors do.
Only if I hear a lot of commotion outside my door.

Well, for my case,I am proud to say that I got a very good neighbor,So there is no such kind of avserving beween Me and him.you knon everytime when I come back from work or back from Shopping, instead of observing me,he usually give me a hand,by help me pick up things to my home. And there was one thing i never forget is that couple of weeks ago when I was out for a business trip,I received a phone call from my old dad, saying that he got a fever, and it was my neighbor who sent him the the hosipital. So you know, there is no any other neighbors i can thank so much!!And to tell you a good new,now we become very good friend in daily life and on business.
