I read a book a while back, called Conversations with God, The New Revolutions. It opened my mind so much to life's possibilities and mankind's abilities.
Then a friend stumbled across another book, with similar concepts called The Secret, and I watched him change his life by practicing what he read. Now I wonder how many others have gotten a hold of the idea. It will be interesting to see how quickly this concept will spread.
How many of you have heard of The Secret...or the Conversations with God books?

I haven't read either of the books, but I've watched the movie. Some of the concepts really affected me, and I still think back to them whenever I'm dealing with a tough situation.

I still have to see the movie. It must be great.
Here in this site, they have free movies for helping you feel better about life situations. It has things to read, and it is free.
I really like it.

Yeah, I know the "Secret", it's the authors answer to making himself a gizillionaire. There's nothing new or revolutionary in those books.

Actually...The "Conversations with God--The New Revelations" book with Neale Walsh was very enlightening, and mind opening...more so than "The Secret". Your right that "The Secret" is just another Positive thinking, 'how to get what you want out of life" concept book...one of many that have enlightened and open minds for many...the concept is simple and a serious solution to many of life's conflicts and challenges. But, the Neale Walsh book defined not only life but God, as well as man, and the universe, how it works and the power of it...I was, quite frankly, blown away, blessed and amazed and lucky to to have read it. And Neale Walsh was just a lucky vessel to be the hand that wrote it (and he keeps writing). There was a movie about him and why/how/when he began writing the books. More than just a positive thinking book(though it includes that too) and a shade deeper than "The Secret" or any other book I've read, even took the Bible a shade deeper. I was very impressed.

Yes, I have heard of the book 'The Secret'. I have a copy of my own and I have read it from time to time and I really do think that it's a great book and it has some great ideas contained within also. I also have the dvd and I must admit I found that very inspirational. I have tried to apply the ideas to my own life but unfortunately I have not had much success with it. I like the idea though and I am into new age things and I consider this book to be very new age. Now that you have created this discussion perhaps I will turn to this book once more! Andrew

I wonder what you would think if you read both books and furthered your belief in the possibilities? If you ever do, be sure to share your thoughts. :)

If it is the same thing, there is a movie/documentary called "The Secret." It is on positive thinking, etc. There are a lot of books both in business and in the religious realm that cover the same theme. It is fun to read different authors and different people's experiences concerning this. There is quite a following of this. I think it came out around 2006.

It would be fun to hear your opinion and comparison with the "Conversations with God-The New Revelations" by Neale Walsh.

My Mom came across the movie a years ago. She had our whole family sit down and watch it. At the time I didn't quite appreciate it, but I've watched it a few times since then and it make so much sense. Cool concept!

My teacher showed us The Secret in health. I thought it was an interesting concept and people should try it even if they don't believe it. It's great to think positive even if there is no reward and if there is, it's just an extra bonus

I have both read the book by Rhonda Byrne and watched the movie and I try to implement and think positive things as much as possible. So good things will come into my life. This is why I even have a vision board with all the things I want to accomplish in my life. Plus the good things I want to happen in my life. So I try to keep focus on the good things only. I don't want negative things coming into my life if I can help it.

The other day i saw my daughter reading something online. When asked she told me about the book The Secret. I have not read much except for the first chapter but i found it is basically about mind power. You achieve what the mind desires. I think i can opine more when i have finished reading the book in detail.
Happy mylotting.

The concept of 'The Secret' is based on quantum physics/mechanics. What you Think, is what you Link.
Remember decades ago, the 'weirdo' psychologists and other PhDs were telling us all to THINK POSITIVE ? It's the same thing. If you want a red Mercedes, place it on your refrigerator where you can 'dream' about it daily. Don't give up hope though because then the Mercedes begins to slip into reverse and ends up in some other's driveway.
