I can’t believe that it’s already September. It seems like this year has just ripped right by. Christmas is just a few months away with Halloween and Thanksgiving even closer. Pretty soon the snow will be coming and another year will end. It seems like the older that I get the faster they go. It seems like this year just started and here it is ending. While I like the holiday season I wish it would slow down a little.
Does it seem like this year has flown by? Are you ready to put another year away? Do the years seem to fly by as ppl get older? What’s your favorite part of the holiday season?

Yes Twoey68, I can't believe it too. It's already SEPTEMBER! We are now having a countdown til Christmas. Time flies and people gets older. I'm one of them. Christmas is my favourite season simple because people are happy, kind, generous and during this time, I would pray that people would be the same even after Christmas.
The cold weather is about to begin! :)

The years seem to whip by it is frightening.Like you say christmas in a couple of months but why does it have to start up so early. It never used to ,it is a miserable time for those with no jobs it almost seems cruel rubbing peoples nose in it.I enjoy the christmas season as well,it just seems to come round so fast.We can never tell if it is going to snow in England it can come as late as easter or not all.I have been picking bits up as I go,only bargains though. We still have one son at home he is sixteen so we only have to buy one big present now ,we buy for the others and the grandchildren, all six of them.so we have to start early, mind you all they seem to want is money,I will do that for birthdays but I like to buy a present at christmas, but I expect it will be gift tokens all the way now.I used to love to have parcels under the tree, but those days are gone.Christmas shopping used to take weeks but the way it is going it will take a couple of hours. It changes as the kids get older.Never mind more time to sit and watch the good programmes on the tv.

I have been saying this forever. The older you get the faster the year goes by. Without a job I'm not really looking forward to the holidays at all. In fact I wish they would fly by and it could be January, already.

I am ready for winter. I am happy that it is a time for the family to see each other. It is very pretty around the holidays and I enjoy all the beautiful decorations as well. I am already making my plans for the home baked gifts and presents . My grandchildren really enjoy it all. Watching them is fun!

It always seems like the year just flies by to me. I truly hate it too because like you said it seems like the year just started and here I am having to struggle to get used to the fact that I will soon be another year older and before I know it, it will be Halloween and Christmas already and then it will be another year. I really hate how the new year comes and goes by so fast anymore.
I like Halloween and Christmas the most of the holiday seasons. I love the look, feel and the smells of the holidays. I think that it really adds to the magic of the seasons.

I can't say that the year has flown by too terribly much. This month has though, lol, but I guess it's just were very anxious! Very excited! My favorite part of the holiday season is pumpkin pie and apple cider, a little eggnog, some turkey, ham, ambrosia and all the fixin's... The family and joy of the season and the decorating!

I can't believe it either. The summer went way too fast. I agree that the older we get the faster the years go by. I really am already missing the summer since we didn't have a very good one weather wise.
I like the holiday season but I don't like all of the holiday rush to get things bought that always seems to happen every year. It stresses me out. I really don't even want to think about Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas right now. I'm just trying to get used to the kids going back to school. Plus once the holidays come I know that the cold winter is just around the corner.

I have noticed time speeding up since my early thirties. I don’t think I’ve had ‘empty time’ or a chance to be bored since I was in my twenties! I find it so hard to believe that Christmas is only less than four months away! This year has flown by so fast! I don’t even recall what has happened this year.
We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving so I have just Christmas to focus on and I am in no way ready for it, not yet!

Nooooo!!!!
Yes, this year is going just way too fast. Just today someone at my work gave me the countdown of the days until Christmas. I think I blocked out exactly what he said. I think the thing I am dreading the most is the Winter weather. I can deal with all the holidays, but the idea of trudging through the wind and sleet and snow....

I agree with all the above. Time DOES fly y faster as you get older. This year HAS zoomed by but I won't say I was having fun...it's been a terrible year. However, I LOVE the holiday season and it can't come fast enough for me. It's so positive and uplifting...I can't wait!

Hey,
Yea I think that this year went so fast, even faster than last year. It is only a few more months and it is already the end of the year. I think that everything flies past as we get older, and my favorite holiday season is definitely summer.

Yes, in Philippines September 1 up to January 6 is part of the Christmas Season. Every radio station plays at least one Christmas songs during the first day of September and I heard every year. But the most early I heard with the Americans surprised that one of a Philippine house plays Christmas songs. Some in September or October they decorated their homes with Christmas decors and Christmas Tree. Ber Months (Months of Prosperity) love by the Philippine People (Filipino or Pinoy). Peace on Earth Goodwill to men.

I agree with you, it does seem that the older you get the faster time goes by. Ironic isn't it- when you are a child the time drags and you sit there praying that you could be all grown up and then when you are grown you want time to slow down and you wish you were young again. That's life's biggest irony. I love the holidays. Thanksgiving has always been my all time favorite. I love the parades and sitting around with your family just relaxing and eating yummy food all day.
