When did you find out you were pregnant?

I know a lady that wasn't feeling well. She went to the doctors and he did some tests. A couple of days later the receptionist rang up and told her she was 9 weeks pregnant. One of my friends had a baby girl in May 2007. She thought that her periods hadn't returned after her daughter was born. She was unaware for many weeks that she had got pregnant again. Her baby boy was born in May 2008. A home pregnancy test can show a lady is pregnant from four weeks pregnancy. That is two weeks after conception or four weeks after her last period. When do you find out you were pregnant? How did you find out? Which month was your baby born and was he or she born on their due date?

Hi Maxi! I've been trying to conceive from day one of our marriage but we were not that fortunate. I have an irregular period that I always anticipate i'm pregnant on the next month of being delayed and i usually use the pregnancy kit to affirm but of no avail. I've doing same routine for five years, have consulted infertility specialists till we decided to undergo an IVF treatment. This time we've been lucky with the first cycle as I've got a positive result after 2 weeks from the the day of implantation by testing with preg kit and was confirmed by a urine test at the hospital. I'll be due by next month, hopefully I'll be reaching the full term of my gestation to ensure delivery of a healthy baby boy. Blessings!

Hi maximax, In my case getting pregnant was always planned. I got pregnant 1 year after I got married, and it's according to our plan. When my husband and I were ready for a child we stopped our natural birth control and two months later, I missed my period and I went to a doctor, who confirmed I was pregnant. He was born 3 weeks earlier than the due date, but he was very healthy. The second one came in four years later, again, as planned. This time I knew I was pregnant as I felt something different in me (and maybe because I was anticipating it). So I bought a pregnancy kit and my feeling was confirmed. He came out 2 weeks later than the schedule. I'm a firm supporter of family planning and I don't believe in pregnancies that happen by accident. If one is careful enough unwanted pregnancies can be avoided.

I knew several days before I even took a pregnancy test. My period has always been extremely regular, 26-28 days. By day 29 I knew I was because I've never gone past day 28 before. Plus, I just felt so happy and so content. I felt like everything was the way it needed to be. I waited and took a test the next week just to make sure and I was pregnant. We're now expecting our first baby in June and it's so wonderful. I can't wait to be a mom. :)

I have had three kids think I am pregnant again ironically find out hopefully tomorrow. With my first I think I knew the minute it happened although I stayed in denial for a long time. It was a lot of friends who talked me into getting tested when I was eating everything in sight which was odd for me she was born oct 4th 91 3 days past her due date. My son I again oddly just knew I never had normal pregnacies such as morning sickness and such and yet I just felt off. In fact by the time I had a chance to get tested for him he was already kicking. He was due on leap day but came early in feb. My daughter my baby so far again I was in denial but found out about 8 weeks along I was floored I was trying and yet she was surprising to me I had partly given up she was also due on leap day and was also born early in Jan.

Thanks for your excellent response. Good luck for your pregnancy test. I knew I was pregnant at 8 weeks with my teenage son. He was born in mid April. I thought I was ill when I was pregnant with my toddler son. I felt sickly and odd and it was pregnancy. With my baby daughter I have been decorating my lounge and I felt faint then I had sickness. I thought I might be pregnant and I found out at 5 weeks. I kept quiet about my pregnancy until I knew I was going to have a healthy baby. When people knew they asked if he or she would have spina bifida. No she doesn't have I am happy to say.

I am delighted that you have your son my friend Iriene. You found out about your pregnancy really quickly. The home pregnancy kits are very reliable. Waiting for 4 years must have been challenging. Maxine.

Well, I didn't found out easily. My co-workers are telling me that I look like pregnant because, according to them, my action were kinda different plus I got so quiet unlike the usual me. So I did my first, Pregnancy test but turned out negative. During that period, I get so thirsty easily and need to drink water even in the middle of the night. after another 1 week, I tried again the test but still negative. We even got to go in the province and swim. and after we got back from the province and check it again because of people telling me, I might be pregnant. So for the 3rd test, i go to nearby clinic, and had my blood test if I'm pregnant. (that kind of test is not usually done because there is more convenient Urine test) so after 2days, when I returned for the result. My husband and I found out that i'm 5 week pregnant. And my friends and mother was right all along..

I was 16 when I found out I was pregnant. I found out by getting sick in the middle of the night and then having to run to the bathroom to throw up. I was sitting on the floor throwing up when my mother came and said, "see, this is what happens...." She said other mean stuff too but who wants to remember such mean words. My daughter was born exactly 9 months later from the day she was conceived which was November 7th and she was born August 7th. She's an adult now and I can tell you she is the most wonderful blessing any mother could ever have and has been since she was born! She was worth being sick for the whole 9 months!

I found out I was pregnant when my baby is already five months in the womb. Reason is that was my first time to be checked up by an OB Gyne. I never really believed it at first that I was pregnant because that time I was busy at work. After two months of missing my period I was having huge doubt that I was already pregnant because I never miss a period. The longest I missed a period is 30 days. I was never really prepared that is why the legal date I was informed that I am pregnant is five months after. My due date was October 17 to 19, 2008. But my baby was born Oct. 02, 2008. I and my husband were both surprised because we never thought he will arrive that early. Anyway 2 more weeks from now he will be celebrating his first birthday. And so we are just excited and very happy.

hi maxim, i didnt know i was pregnant until it was five months old. i have never experienced anything unusual like dizziness, vomiting, or feeling sleepy during daytime. i was just fine. then my husband told me to have a check up because he thinks i am pregnant because i was getting bigger everyday. home pregnancy test was not yet popular then so to make sure i went to the doctor who confirmed his doubts. when i learned that i was, it was then that i felt the morning sickness and that i hated some kitchen aromas while cooking like the smell of garlic being roasted, or the smell of steam of rice being cooked. my daughter was born on november 4 after a 10 hours of intense labor. uhhhhh!!! ann

hi maximax8, i found out that i am pregnant with my eldest when i felt so sick and kept vomiting. it was in my 6th week of pregnancy that i learned about my being pregnant. my husband and i went to the doctor and had the test and found out that i am six week pregnant. it was so hard for me to know then because i have irregular menses that's why i really don't have any idea that i am already pregnant except that i vomiting and really not feeling feel. i had the same experience with my second child. both of them were born on their due date although both were CS.

I found out my pregnancy a few days after my birthday. We had been married for 9 months that time, and we really wanted a baby. I charted myself, counted my fertile days and in my heart I prayed "if I were blessed with pregnancy, I wouldnt want anything for my birthday" LOL. So, on the beginning on May, I took a home pregnancy test, and it was positive. I was very early, about 3 weeks pregnant. I jumped around and called my husband right away. It was like a thing to good to be true, but it was true. I still have my home pregnancy test result picture now! I have no pregnancy symptoms, like nausea, vomitting or anything. So the reason I took the test was bacuse I really wanted to know if I was pregnant. And that was the most beautiful birthday gif God ever given to me. Our baby is due January 2010. The doctor said I'm having a girl. Can't wait for her to be born! Cheers!

I found out I was pregnant in January of 2007... My period was late by a few days and overall just felt drained. I took a test at work (I worked in a hospital) and almost fainted in the bathroom... Then I thought maybe it was a fluke, I took another test to my boyfriends house and went to the bathroom and another test positive! Knowing this I went to my doctor and I was 5 weeks! My daughter's due date was September 28th but I was overdue and she was born October 3! I thank God that she came out healthy, I drank for a friends party a week or two before I found out that I was pregnant. I think its very dangerous not knowing! Don't you?

I knew right away for both of my pregnancies. My first I knew in December. My baby was due in September. I think the 12th. She arrived on the 8th. My next pregnancy was twins. I don't remember exactly when I knew, but I was sick as a dog with morning sickness. They arrived two weeks early. Now my story--I have a friend who delivered at home. She claimed she didn't know she was pregnant at all. She denied it to her family and friends if they asked. Yes, she had gained weight and was showing and was doing the "duck walk" but she never admitted she was pregnant. How can you not feel a baby kicking during the last semester?? The fire department delivered her baby boy. This was her third child so she knew what it was all about. Strange!!

During my first time of pregnancy i was experienced of vomiting and dizziness. Followed by I hate all kinds of soap and shampoo. All are discomfort. I don't like to eat and hate to drink vitamins. I've lost my weight. That was last up to my seven months of pregnancy. I gave birth to my first born one week delayed to expected date of delivery. Month of july.

I got married in March 2007 and got pregnant in June2007.When i missed my periods i knew that i was pregnant because i was not feeling well.My husband bought the pregnancy kit and it confirmed my pregnancy.I was very happy but my partner was not ready for it.But slowly he managed to accept this and i gave birth to my child in Jan2008. Last month ,in spite of using planning methods i got pregnant again but as we did not want the baby due to some family and financial problems ,i had to get my pregnancy terminated.
