How often do you sit around in your PJ's?

I don't leave the house a whole lot, so I spend more time in my pajama's than most people do. I don't immediatly get dressed in the morning. Most days I won't get dressed until I do plan to go somewhere. On days that I'm not going anywhere I may get dressed around lunch time, just for the sake of it. Yesterday I didn't get dressed at all, but I was feeling very very sick. Today I have not gotten dressed yet either, but I'll have to soon. I do have to go pick my son up from school around 5pm, so I'll throw some clothes on for that. I'll probably change back into pajamas once I get home though. Will you still get dressed even if you aren't going anywhere all day?

I will normally get dressed if not going anywhere all day. But it won't be until the afternoon. I feel weird if I never change out of my pj's, but I'm too lazy to do it for a while.

My PJ's consist of a tee-shirt and a pair of flannel pants or shorts. In the morning, after my shower, I like to throw on my comfy "around the house" clothes, which consist of a tee-shirt and a pair of flannel pants/shorts. That way, I still feel I am dressed and "ready to go", whether or not I am actually leaving the house. If I just leave my Pj's on, I kind of feel sluggish and not ready to get on with my day. Those are not productive days for me. I know changing from one outfit to another identical outfit may seem a little strange to some, but it works really well for getting me motivated and ready to start the day.

I am normally only dressed in regular clothes when I am going to be leaving the house or if someone is coming over. Other than that I usually stay in my pajamas. I will change back into them pretty much as soon as I get back home if I know that I will not be going out also. Heck, I did not even get dressed to take my son to school this morning. I went out in my pj's. I just took him to school and came right home, so it was not a big deal. I think I had jeans on for a total of 3 hours today.

My son had to be to football before 8am today, so I made my coffee, hopped in the car and went... purple t-shirt, pink pajama bottoms, and fuzzy pink slippers. The kids all look worse... most of them are wearing what they wore to school yesterday cuz they didn't change their clothes yet, and the littlest had no socks or shoes on when we left. Oh well! None of us got out of the car, just dropped him and left.

I see moms walking their kids to school in the morning in their pajama pants, tank tops, house shoes, and their hair all a mess.

Yes I usually will get dressed even if I am not planning on going anywhere. This is mainly because I tend to get changed into clean clothes after I have had a shower anyway. Plus if I do not get out of my pyjamas I just feel really lazy!

I agree with you UK. I always feel lazy and guilty when I stay in my pyjamas but I love to be comfortable and my pyjamas are more cozy than regular clothes plus I don't feel the need to put on my makeup if I wear my PJ's.

Actually, yes, I do get dressed even if I'm not going anywhere. I usually take a shower first thing in the morning..and I can't be in my PJs after that. I need to change into something presentable. The only exception is when I'm sick or lazy to take a shower first thing in the morning.

I use to do it all the time all day long. Now that my daughter goes to school as soon as I wake up on week days I take a shower and stay dressed until I pick her up then I put my PJ's on for the night. I love my PJ's.

Lately I usually get dressed as soon as I get up so that way I am dressed for the day when I take my daughter to the bus stop. Today I wasent feeling well due to a UTI so I had my husband take my daughter to wait for the bus. I planned to lounge around the house all day in my pajamas but then afer a few hours thought better of it in case anyone happened to show up and I also wanted to take my son outside to play. I couldnt exactly take him out to play with my pajamas on. Well I could as they werent racy but still lol I wouldnt want anyone to see me dressed like that. Its a good thing that I didnt stay in my pajamas all day because at 2 the school nurse called me and I needed to go pick up my daughter at school. I wanted to get her picked up as soon as possible so I just grabbed my son and got in the car and left. I didnt have any makeup on which is so embarrassing but at least I had clothes on and not pajamas.

If I don't have to go anywhere, I will sit around in my PJs, but usually not all day. Usually when I go upstairs to brush my teeth after breakfast I'm just in the habit of getting dressed. Once in a while on weekends I don't though...

It seldom happens. Usually after breakfast, i m about to clean and dress up to meet the day. OUr house is also our office and so when visitors come in in the morning it would be embarrassing to show them that you are still in your pajamas.

I sit around in my pajamas quite a bit actually because I don't really work all that much and I don't currently go to school. That will probably be changing pretty soon though because I know that I'm going to sign up for college soon so hopefully I will be a little bit busier. With all my free time sometimes I just sit around and play video games or some of my own personal research.

Very often! If I don't have to go anywhere right away I don't get dressed. I like to stay comfortable for as long as possible.

I go through stages where some days I do not bother to get dressed and then other days I like to get dressed first thing in the morning. When the kids are at school then I have to get dressed because I have to take them to school and I am up and down now 6 times a day! Its Saturday now and I have not got to go anywhere but I am dressed because I did not feel like sitting in my pjs all day, but now that you have talked about it I feel like going and getting them back on!

I wish i could do that sometime. Everyday if i go out or not im up early, showered and dressed. Sometimes with jewerly and/or oils or perfumes. I have friends that call and ask if they can come over. Im aways ready for visitors or invite to go out. Even in colder weather if i have no plans to go out i could wear a lounge outfit. But invited out i wear the same lounge outfit outside. I dont sleep in lounge outfit. So to me they are not pjs but daywear. Lounge pants are way more comfortable than pants or jeans.

I like to have my shower and get dress every morning whether Im going out or not[unless is my gardening day] then I will put on my gardening gear and do gardening all day, then I would shower and dress for dinner even if I Am on my own this may seem a little too much for some but I was brought up in a very european way which I passed on to my children, mind you I have my lazy days as well [ specially in winter when is cold and raining] sitting by the fire and reading a good book, but even then I would not be wearing my pajamas. Getting dress every day makes me feel good about my self and a splash of perfume! make me feel like a queen.

I don't have PJ's, my friend. But I prefer wearing short pants most of the day if I stay at home. I will get dressed up if something important to go, outside home. As our climate here in our country, that is hot. I prefer wearing only short pants than dress up inside... Have a nice day!
