Why does it seem that Christian rock is just not as good a Classic rock?

Actually that is not true. God said Make a joyful noise, make a loud noise.
Of course God wants us to worship him, but I am pretty sure he does not want us to sing great lyrics with lousy music and harmony. Christians should have the best music instead it really is bad.

because your sinful nature loves the wickedness of the lyrics instead of your heart loving to worship the Almighty. We could also say they the 'new rock and roll' is not as good as the old time rock and roll. Everything changes it is our own interpretation that determines if it is as good as or not.

You are pointing a finger at me without even understanding my question. I don't like the lyrics. The music is much better. The words to Christian music are excellent but the music is lousy.

I'm not sure what you meant about this but there are some Christianity inspired songs that were considered as classic. But of course, you can't expect that all people will be fond of listening to it (due to the fact that some peeps aren't Christians).
If you mean Classic Rock in a generalized way, Christian Rock Songs, such as those from Hillsong, may not fall in this category. Classic Christian Rock Songs may exist though.

Classic Rock is basically from the 1970's and it is secular.
