What is the worst thing you have found in your food?

This is a stomach turner, as you can imagine. I've found small bits of roaches, pieces of plastic or paper and occasionally the ends of human disrespect, as I think its polite to say. We definitely need to be careful when eating outside of our homes. Don't be surprised at this if you come to Trinidad. Although you might not be able to recognise anything the way they cook up meals here.

omgosh, tHAT'S AWFUL BOTH OF THEM. tHE WORST THING I EVER FOUND WAS A HAIR IN MY FOOD AT A RESTAURANT & I THOUGHT THAT GROSS BUT NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT U & YOUR FRIEND FOUND. I would have croaked right there on the spot, lol.

These are two of the grossest things I have heard. I would certainly not be able to eat after finding either one of those in my meal or in the bag or basket, period. eeeewwwwwww, that is awful!! they should have in the least given him a refund. Another thing that most people do not think about when something like this happens because they are so shocked and put off by what they have found in their food...is to take that meal and show it to the health department or the people that inspect these places that cook food for people. Another thing, take a picture so that you have the proof to show others. Let the news media know. I'd hate to know that others are eating the food from the same place and not know what they are putting in their meals. My self I have found a hair in my food, and it was not mine...wrong color. I have had a bug in something that was bottled to drink. I too was so freaked out and disgusted that I threw it out.

oh gross I am trying to get over the worms you found yuk I have only found hair in food which is nasty but my hubby an he friends went to taco bell an there was a roach in the food so now I can't get hubby near any taco joint which stinks cause i love tacos

Hi, Forestgold I found a small cockroach in my Chicken and Mushroom Rice Toppings at a local chinese restaurant about more than 10 years ago. Eerwww Now, the restaurant still exists and probably with better service, but I have never set foot in that restaurant since that fateful day I found that thing in my food. Sigh Have a nice day!

Hi ForestGold, since you bring up this matter, I would like to share my with you. I tell you this is the real scenario that I've been through when eating noodle covered with cockroach. I meant half way eating the noodle, can you imagine that after drinking the soup and part of the noodles that show up my friend was lying down facing 6 legged up...lol What should I do? Get my refund back and luckily I'm not suffering from any food poisoning and the owner felt sorry. How can this happen? So, I'll will do a QC test and see what is waiting for to eat. I ordered a Taco Salad at Taco Bell once and was eating it and found a metal screw in it. They offered me a new salad but frankly, that wasn't what I wanted at the time. I know a metal screw isn't as gross as a bug but it still turned my stomach a bit. Oh, then one time I found a patch of weird hair in my hamburger, they gave my money back. Haven't really had one of their burgers again, that was at Sonic. It wasn't like one hair or two hairs, it was this weird group of different hair. It reminded me of a rat's hair but I don't know. It was gross though.

hi forestgold once awhile back my husband and my son and mom and my sis and I were eating at a Dannys and I had ordered a baked potato with my meal. well the potato came and it was icy cold so myhusband asked the waitress to heat it up. she did so and it seemed hot but upon opening it up there in the center of the opened baked potato atop the sour cream was a yucky hank of human hair.it had to have been deliberately put there,so my husband called the manager who apologized and himself went and got me a clean hot baked potato unopened and no crap stuck into it. he told us our meals would all be free. i never ever went back there again. that was deliberately done.,

Hi forestgold, Ewwwww!!!! that is just so gross, when I as working in London many years ago, I once went to resturant for lunch when i saw sometging move in my plate, I lifted the letucce from my plate and saw a great big fat catapilar, I jump up and screamed, some customers walked out and that had put me off salad for a long time. I once found staple pin in a local fast food dish. I realized it was there when it was in my mouth. I was lucky not to have swallowed it. There vendor usually opens the packets by pulling apart the plastic cover. So one of the pins must have came off the plastic cover and into the dish.

At one place I order a piece of apple pie and ate a few bites. Then I started to take another bite and found a large piece of clear plastic in my pie. I show the waitress what I found and all she said was it must be from the top of the apple container. There fruit come in a plastic container which has a clear plastic on top. She was going to give me a ticket and I told her I was not going to eat anymore and was not going to pay. She call the manager over and I explain and he said he was sorry and I did not have to pay. They ask if I would like another piece of pie on the house I said no. I could not figure out how the plastic could have gotten into the pie without the cook knowing. I was not a small piece it was at least 6 inches by 3 inches that is big. I did not go to that place again.

I ordered a sandwich at Pizza Hut once and it had a big rock in the middle of it between the cheese and meats. I also ordered a regular hamburger as a teen and it had a ball of hair in it. I almost threw up! Now I do a lot of cooking of my own. At least now I know what's in my food and where it has been.

That's so dirty (yack).. Hmmmmm you know what you lucky because your friend and you have seen the pests at you food, but me? Hahahahhaha One morning my Lola cooked a "law-uy" in Filipino term, its a mix of vegetables and it has a water like a soup, U KNOW WHAT? When I took the food to my mouth I smell something stinky I had chew it up and then suddenly I felt there is a corn seed type in the food and when I looked at it it was a DIRTY BLACK BUG...... Grrrrrr... I lost my appetite and never ate that vegetable again... yakyyyyy....

The worst thing I have found in my food , was at a local store I ordered a slice of pizza and found two cockroaches under. This was jus so ridicullus I didnt know what two I never ate there again.

I have not found anything in my food, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones! I've heard of some pretty disgusting things, though, and it seems to happen a lot lately. That's why I rarely eat away from home, you can never tell what's in the food and you may not even see it.

it was really yakeey forestgold. after that insident i banned eating that kind of food again.
