We move a lot so finding an open outlet after the computers are set up and the alarm clocks are plugged in and the cell phones are being charged... I think there are about 5 open outlets, wait 4; I need to plug in a Glade Scented Bulb. Check out your available outlets and get back to me.

Are we talking about the whole house or just the room that we're in? In our downstairs room where we keep the computer, we have about 4 open outlets.

I still have lots of them open. I had four available where the computer is but I used two of those gizmos that change from two outlets to eight so I can plug things in when I need them

I can't count that high! Lots of stuff to power hereabouts, but not enough power to run it all, as if I forget and run the clothes washer and the microwave oven at the same time, the circuit gets tripped and then I have reset the clocks on the ovens. Fortunately the wall clocks are atomic so we still know what time it is...time to get more outlets! We have year-round sun, though, so I should get a solar panel and expand, huh?

Im not sure about the exact number but as far as those that I remember counting, there would be 10 available outlets. We have those that you can put 2 plugs in one outlet. So I counted each one plug. We only usually use one plug in those outlets each, like the the lampshade for one outlet, electric fan for one, etc. and that still leaves one more plug in an outlet free. Hope that made sense somehow.

O. As a matter of fact I have to unplug things when I go to bed to be able to plug my fan in. I only live in a small apartment with about 300 square feet. We may have 6 outlets in the whole place and about 4 of them have extensions. Fore hazard I know, but I am awake about 22 hours a day so I am aware.

I am lucky that my late dad was an electrician. He placed a lot of plugs in the house. He said he hate extension plug and he didn't feel safe with one around. So he placed plugs to make sure we don't need extension plug. There's six in my room alone. There's four near the television and four in the kitchen. There's one outside the bathroom and three in the living room. We also have more in the house, I can't remember the exact number.

Not enough! I have the house loaded with surge protectors because I've lots of tiny appliances with their own plugs...so I have surge protectors that turn two outlets into 12.

We moved earlier this year too, and found that it was a move for the best as far as power outlets go. Our old house had about 6 power outlets in total, which wasn't nearly enough for our household. To fix that problem, we invested in lots of extension cables and good, safe, power boards. It worked a treat, if you didn't mind seeing power cables hanging over door ways (had to keep them out of the way of the kids). Since moving, we have found we now have an over supply of extension cables and power boards, but that isn't a bad thing, it means there are less opportunities for our kids to blow a fuse.

I have exactly 1 outlet available in a 2,000 sq. ft. home. And that's because it's in the middle of the walkway in the dining room between the dining room table and leading to either the game room, the kitchen or the living room. We just plugged in a rechargeable emergency flashlight to one of the two receptacles in that outlet. My husband was worried that the kids or the animals would run into it, but so far, it's been okay, but anything with a wire attached to it would not work there because it would have to run across the walk way to the table to sit on anything. Every other outlet in this house has a surge protected power strip plugged into it like many other people have done. My husband and I run a technology consultant business from our home and we have computers/laptops all over the house. Our outlets are filled with power for appliances, cell phone chargers, electric razors, alarm clocks, fans, lamps, electronics, video game consoles, battery chargers, telephones and night lights. There are probably a few more things, but that is all I can think of right now. The sad part is that the outlets in this house are horrible. Some of them don't have the appropriate boxes behind the covers so the covers come away from the wall. The worst is that a vast majority of the outlets in this house have something wrong with the receptacles themselves and plugs won't stay plugged in. We replaced all the outlets in the office before we put the furniture in because my husband got tired of rebooting his computer every time his chair hit the plug and fell out. We need to do the rest of the house, but there are still so many things to do as well. We'll get around to it.

Hmmmm my room has 4 plugins in total in it - I extended one so i can have the heatpad, the alarm clock and the lamp plugged in and some times a fan. Theres 2 oulets open on the extender. The other one...has a power bar on and i have the tv, the vcr and the western digital tv box plugged in. The spare room has my sewing machine plugged into one of the 4 plugs...so 3 free. Bathroom has no plugs. Kitchen has 10 plugs....fridge, mircowave, toaster, coffeepot, ac, blender, cell charger, flashlight charger, external hard drive. Most things in the kitchen are actually unplugged The living room has 2 free plugs but a couple of the others use powerbars.

This is a really good discussion my friend, and I am sure that a lot of people have thought about outlets and how you never seem to have enough of them, since there are too many things that have to be plugged in,and I can understand how difficult it must be to find and open outlet, and I know around here we have so many things plugged in,it is hard to make room for other things,I hope you find the outlet you need for your Glade Scented Plug in,have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting my friend.

LOL Well as I have remodeled outlets have been added. I have put in an outlet almost every 4 feet because I hate looking for an empty one and we have so many electronics.

I have tons of available outlets, but I live in a huge old Victorian house, and I use power strips and surge protectors. I do not know if the wiring could take it if I filled up all the available outlets, though. We get interesting combinations of breaker blowers as it is.

We actually have a lot open in the downstairs area. My kitchen has 5 outlets alone and we don't use 3 out of the five of them. Except when I vacuum then I will use one of them. 3 of them are in spots though that don't really make a lot of sense in a kitchen. We have 2 plugs in the dining room one is not being used, we have 3 in the family room only 1 is being used. The living room has 2 only 1 is being used. Now the upstairs is a different story, I think every plug in every bathroom and every bedroom is being used, everyone in the family including my 5 year old has their own computer.

It may not be safe but i usually use a power surge strip. It adds a lot more outlets. If you use too much it shuts off.

hahaha we have lots of outlets not use do you want to borrow some? Well, in out house we have lots of outlet anywhere. I just wonder why the owner of this made it this way. We are just renting so, this is not our design. But I like it because anywhere I will be in the house I can plug in anything. LOL.
