Hello, Amyson, when I was younger, I feel I am getting to be old soon if I pass the age of 25. And when I reach my age of 25, I feel I am still quite young, and I think when at age of 30 is really getting to be old. I am now close to 30, I still do not notice I am old. Now I think to getting old is a very natural thing, it happened but you do not notice it, when you notice it, you are in the age to accept that... I do not worry to getting old.

I'm afraid of getting old, but I'm looking at it as an opportunity to start over. There's things in my life right now I want to change so I think there's no time like the present. I'm looking for plastic surgery,I want to change my life. I want a closer relationship with God, my family and friends. I want a partner in my life who'll help me,make me feel like I matter and to love me. I don't have that now.

I think that instead of thinking you're getting older, why not live day to day and live in the day. Take notice of life's beauty all around you. laugh more, you know they say the more you laugh the younger you feel. Also you should take some time and be with a child. Whenever I'm with my goddaughter I feel at least ten years younger. I hope this helps

Hello my friend
I am not afraid of getting older, I just want to be mentally/physically able is all, it can be hard depending on the situation other than that its life and its going to happen eventually no sense being afraid will only happen faster if you dwell on it, just take care of yourself and age will be good to you.
Thank you my friend.

Hello my friend
This is sad to hear, people actually killing themselves because of something they obviously know nothing about, I see so many older people jogging in the parks, walking around taking care of business like everyone else, I welcome old age and wear it as a badge of honor which explains kitty42 to alot of people I am already elderly and that is fine with me, with age comes wisdom instead of people worrying about getting old they should think of all the wonderful things they could share with the younger generation.
Thanks my friend.

that is good to hear kitty, well we should keep on moving and think actively for not to be stagnant in that stages.but on the other hand my father is not like those old people who really taking care of themselves.my father even though he had 2nd stroke he still smoking.we keep reminding them to stop smoking but i dont know what to do.he is somehow frustrated because he didnt meet his goals and aspiration.frustration really takes him down we even gave him enough support and all of that loving and caring.might he not appreciated well.so i guess some old people accepted becoming old but not to others.have a nice day.

honestly, i am even proud to tell people about my age. i may not have great achievements as some people my age do, but i am proud to say that i am contented with what life has brought me. i just feel luckier than some people who aren't getting 3 square meals a day or those who have no roof on their heads. after all, they say age is only a state of the mind. i think young! (so what does that make me?)

ya..man definitely... no doubt about that one... everyone do fear about aging as i do.. Actually it like this, if we grow older and older our thoughts will be like children, but we can't to things in the way children do. that is one of the difficulty in old age.

Hmm thats something kind of funny I never thought of. Our bodies age forward while our minds age backwards

Not exactly backward.. I tell you mathematically , like while we are growing ,our body attains linear (keep increasing) growth , while our mind grows parabolic (keep increasing for a particular point and then keep decreasing )...
I also seen many people including my grandma doing some childish things... Who knows we will do so..

hi amyson well I am 83 in November and I am not senile'my skin is not all wrinkled nor worty, and I look just fine, so what'the heck is there to worry about? You cannot escape time but you can eat right, keep your mind active, and your body slim and exercised and you will not look hideous as you age. as for ailments you will not have many if you keep physically fit and
mentally fit. be positive now and forever after.

Why should we afraid of getting?.. It's natural and faith things that we can't ran off... Some peoples do a plastic surgery because they don't want to accept their naturality and try to fool their faith... But even they do that, their still getting old...

yes,i agree with you, some didnt accept any wrinkles, gray hair, loose skin so they find other way to look young like plastic surgery.but this will also help for example if you are an actor or actress they do have anything to make them young so that they still offer movies to come.so hard to look them think like that.if ever i just make myself active and doing exercise, eat right food and always think positively.

hi amyson
Who's not afraid of getting old, I guess these are the people who had accomplished what life was stored for them. We can delay it yes, but eventually it will...
God grand design for human life cycle is amazing. As long as we remain truthful in what life has brought forward for us, getting old along the way will not that be so frightening... The Key is just to go with the flow, doing what suppose to be done...day by day!!!

Its not so much the physical aging that worries me but the mind set of todays youth who will in the future have to take care of us when we get too old to do it ourselves that worries me.

There are people afraid of getting old that is why those people always go to parlor to look younger and younger but no one will escape from being old. Because we are created as mortal and need to be old someday until we became dust...Have nice day!

yes i think
reason is that. we will not be able to do all the things. we will not look good as we look today. we will have to take care of many things so that other people dont raise their fingers at us.
we have to take more care of our body so that it could work well.
we will be more prone to diseases.
i think the oldness is the only phase of life which no body wants.

Hi: We have to acept gettin older because this makes part of human nature. It's natural to be afraid, because, after all life is beautiful and we know that we'll miss to do thing that we can only do when we're young. When we get older we have to take more care about our health we'll feel some changes in our feelings, we have afraid to be alone, etc. But this is part of life, we only can acept this and receive this destiny as good as we can.

In my own opinion, men and women have their fear of growing old especially those people who have regrets in life or those who are still pursuing to catch their dreams. Growing old means that you will be limited to do things, physically first and foremost. Also, growing old also means more responsibities and lesser freedom. While growing old tend to be more physically inclined, I think that getting old should be taken in a positive note. Like maybe being someone who is respected because of the status we have accomplished. Yeah, maybe get old, but who isn't? One way I look at it is that, age is only in the mind. :)

yes,it is truth many afraid of getting old since they were also afraid to have alzhiermer disease or parkinson disease that made them disable.many people afraid to be older as much as possible they tend to have a plastic surgery to look young again.but again i said whatever it takes to make her beauty stay.cells are getting older and not producing new one.the right thing to do is accept the reality that we need to be strong to whatever it well came to us.

I think people should accept the way they look because we all have to deal with it. It is just a part of life and a part of change. I am fascinated with being able to constantly and continually change throughout my life. Plastic surgery should not be necessary if we accept who we are and how we look. Sometimes, I wonder about how I will age and how fast it will happen. I just that it is just something we all have to deal with and even though I will get wrinkles and have gray hair, at least I will get to see a change.
