Yesterday, I talked with someone about the time-consuming staff.
"What dramas should I watch recently?" My friend asked, " anything new?"
I told him that I didn't know anything since I was not really into dramas since they were so wasting time. hehe
"If I don't wanna waste my time, what am I supposed to do?", He asked.
I was doing some thinking and hadn't come out with some good answers yet.
Then, I asked you about the question!
If u don't wanna waste time when u are free, what will you do?
Do you think watching a drama is so-called wasting time?

I don't really watch my TV. But watching a few shows doesn't seem like a complete waste of time to me. What I do when I'm bored and have nothing else to do or that needs accomplish, I typically spend time online earning and if I'm not doing that I enjoy reading! There are a lot of great hobbies out there that you can participate in, such as reading, different crafts, cooking, etc.

When you mentioned wasting time watching dramas, I immediately thought of our daytime "soap operas" for which I have absolutely no use. However,I have to admit our night time shows, such as Law and Order, C.S.I. and N.C.I.S. are time wasters, also, even though N.C.I.S. is my favorite show. If I have free time during the day, which is rare, I will either read a book, or play Scrabble or work jigsaw puzzles on the computer. I prefer computer jigsaw puzzles to those with a thousand pieces that have to be spread out on a table because they are smaller and can be worked more quickly and the pieces cannot become lost.

Maybe you don't mean it, but the response is pretty interesting. I couldn't help chuckling while I was reading it. I like playing Scrabble too though I don't know how to cheat.
Have a nice evening!

Thank you, Hiddenwing. I don't think it is possible to cheat with computer Scrabble. I think the computer cheated me once, though. A word I used was disallowed, when that word is listed in the official scrabble players dictionary. I can't complain, though. You might say that I cheat at times. I've been known to check the dictionary during a game when I'm not absolutely sure of the spelling of a word or if that word is allowed.

it really depends on the thinking of ones individual and also our interest. some feel that watching tv or any movie is better in their free time and they wait for it as some people are really busy with hectic working timings and all but some people have more of free time and some may really feel watchin tv is just a waste of time and we needto do something which can gainus something and help us in our daily life. so it depends on each individual and how we think and our schedules which makes us busy.

Well, using our free time maximumly depends on who we are and how we look at it. I can't say that watching drama is so-called wasting time activity. The other way around, I can say that watching drama is one good activity to spend your free time. As for me WHO don't drama, absolutely I'll say that drama is such a wasting time. Instead of drama, I prefer cleaning home, tidy my documentations, and so on, which you probably note them as wasting-time activities. =)

if i want to bum around and not necessarily wasting time but just to do away with the regular routine of pressure, i watch feel-good movies according to my interest that will also take my mind off the real world. i dont watch drama either coz am into puzzled movies or just simply the light ones. i also take the opportunity to read my collection of books depending on my mood. at night, if still possible, i ran for a while to appreciate the surroundings. also, taking advantage of wi-fi zone, occupying my time for mylotting! the best part that i like when im not busy is to bond with my family and friends. :)
i believe wasting time is only a part of impression pertaining to our interest. so there. :)

I try to never waste any of my precious time. I spend alot of time working online to keep myself busy. when I am not doing that, I am working inside and outside of my home. I like to get things done.

I definitely think watching afternoon dramas or even at night as somewhat a waste of time. Well, I'd consider the night time dramas before going to bed is okay but since it's all about crying and negativities, I don't think it's something good to be watching those before you do go to bed. I mean, some people put their lives at hold just to watch these dramas and they're affected by the outcome, whew!
If I were asked what he'd do? Hmmm.. I'd say JOIN MYLOT! At least you'd be earning while not wasting your time. Plus, your typing skills and expression would be honed as well. Not to mention that you can interact positively without really needing to do some deep thinking.

It depends on one's interest. In my opinion, it would be good to study a new skill, language, etc if you have free time, and if you can afford to do so. I've been wanting to study a new language and I do have the time, I just don't have the resources lol.
So what I do instead whenever laziness don't kick in, I try to roam around the city and go to places where I haven't been to before.

Why would watching a drama be considered to be a waste of time? some people are interested in cinema and watch tons of movies, some other like books and spend their spare time reading them. I like drawing cartoon characters even though I'm 30 and that's what I do in my spare time, because it makes me feel good, I feel relaxed and I enjoy myself. If you like dramas go on and watch them. The things you like and that make you feel good are never a waste of time. I consider something to be a waste of time If it makes me feel empty once I'm done with it :)

Oh, great point! Something that makes us empty is the one, which really waste our time. Your response makes great sense, really!

I don't think watching a drama is a time-wasting behavour.it's an entertainment. we all need entertainment after hard work or study.
Before I thought studing English is very important. other things I did not good. because they took my study time. then my life became very boring. I felt nervous and bored too. the worst thing is my english is not got improved either.
Now I changed my idea about my life. I can manage my time on my study and my entertainment very well now.
if i do have free time, logging onto mylot and chating with mylotters is one of my options. not to mention i will get paid for it.

How is your English after studing it for years? hehe
If you ask me, I will say mylot does help me a lot! This is cliche. Still, I wanna say it, my English is very poor. lol.

I don't think that doing anything you enjoy, whether its watching a drama series or playing with your dog or cat is a waste of time. In this "pressure cooker" of times we live in, we all need some down time and it should be filled with whatever makes you happy. Nobody should have to always be doing something "constructive" out of fear that we will be acused of wasting time. I personally, work alot and when its time to rest, its time to rest. Oh sure, my closets need cleaning, my office need orginazation and my yard needs serious help, but its my time and I prefer to play frisbee with my dog and watch "Desperate Housewifes". Even the Lord took a day off, and he probably spent it "wasting time"!

Wow, that's cool!
Your dog can play frisbee?
That's cool too!
By the way, I am watching desperate housewives while I was reading your response. hehe
Have a great evening!

If that person likes to watch drama, I don't think its wasting time. Doing something that you like and makes you happy should be considered making the most of your time. There should be a limit of course- you obviously don't want to waste your entire life in front of the tv screen and not do anything productive.

well, watching some movies are not wasting time... it entertainment yourself from all week work, you know try to make your life more meaning.
If I think watching movie or drama is wasting time only when I have to go to work then I'm still sitting down and continuing my drama. If on my free time then I will have to do something that help me feel better or have fun with my favorite shows

I am very good at finding things to fill my time so that I do not feel that my time is wasted. I tend to have quite ab it to do each day as it is, but in my free time, I either find more work to do, or, my favorite thing to do is to spend time playing games with my family.

i don't want to call watching dramas as a waste of time but i prefer to call it whiling away time hehe! watching dramas can teach you something of life and then that won't be a waste. when i've got free time, i prefer to read an interesting piece of written work, preferably a historical novel, or while away my time with my computer doing anything that will interest me like mylotting!

I think that doing nothing is what you can call waste of time. hehe. For me, doing things you enjoy is a reward for yourself when you have free time since if you are free now, then you might have finished a task or something. And I do think that sleeping is not a waste of time since sleeping is the activity that is often deprived to me when I have so many things to do. hehe.
