Nowadays computer and Internet play important roles in our daily life. I guess many people spend less time on writing than before. But it seems that computer could not totally replace writing tools in the near future. Personally speaking, sometimes I enjoy the feeling of writing, which is quite different from that of using computer. And pen is my faviorte writing tools. How about you?

When i am not using my computer to do my writing for me, I think I prefer to use a pen. Pencils are o.k. but unless you have a mechanical one, you are always in need of a pencil sharpener and an eraser. Pens also come in a variety of colors of ink. Pencils give one choice. When your pen runs out of ink, just grab another pen and you are ready to start again.

I still use pencil or pen to write, although 70 % of my time in the office is spent in front of my computer but I still write things on paper. If i am drafting something either a concept or a proposal or plan, then I write with pencil and when I write on my planner tentatively, it has to be a pencil. But if i write something that is confirmed or something that i present as final draft. then it has to be a pen. I have specific colors too, if I am signing something, it should be black and if I want to highlight something then I use either green or blue.

i prefer to use a pencil especially when i am doing something in rough. i feel i am saving more because pencil is cheaper and has no ink to consume. i feel i can think more using the pencil. a lot of thoughts enter my mind thinking that i can easily erase it with the pencil. if i had to make a final copy, i either write with the pen or directly to computer.

I must admit - most of the time I write with the computer. But if I write on paper I tend to use a ballpoint pen. They leave you with a permanent record and at the same time it allows you to write quickly.

Primarily reply is keyboard. Ok, on paper? It is 0.5 Gel pen, as they behave smooth surfacing. It feels good also to write with Gel pen. Writting with pencil, when i did last, cannot remember.

Simon, it's a nice discussion. When I was a small kid I used to write with pencil and always desired to use pen. And then I got the chance to write with pen in School. Then I desired to use computer instead of Pen. But now I really look for the chance to use pen or pencil because I hardly get a opportunity to use them. Although computer has replaced the pen or pencil but the real fun is in writing with pen or pencil.

Hi Simon1223! I use whatever I can use at a given moment. No particular favorite. By the way, can I add whiteboard marker and chalk to my list? I also use them at certain times particularly during my lectures. Even with the computer, writing instruments are still necessary up to now.

Since having kids I'm not too picky unless I'm writing a check. As you should only write a check out in pen. And I think the recipeient of a check written in crayon would be a lil urked and harder to read. But truly I just use what's handy and is in working order.

I prefer a pen to a pencil unless i am doing a crossword puzzle book than I think a pencil in case I have to correct some mistakes. But I love the feel of a nice roller ball pen. And you are right i don't think people write as much as they used to. I think I got out of the habit, and I used to enjoy it. Now - it's always typing on the keyboard and it just isn't the same.

Hi. I use sign pen either .5 or .7 thick because I can no longer read words written in pencil or pen specially at night. More expensive but that is what just I need to keep me going in writing. Good day.

It depends on what is most handy and what I am writing. For an official document I will look for a pen. Anything else isn't that important which implement I choose.

it is fun to write with a ball-pen, fountain-pen or a gel-pen. it is fast and easy to use the computer. people do write if they are into it. yes, i agree to the fact that computers cannot replace the writing tools. writing in pen, gives us the freedom to customise our fonts. it is more expressive. but everyone doesnt have a legible handwriting. so, computers are a boon.

I always use pen ever since. Pencil marks are easily erased as time pass by. Unlike the pens, it is permanent and cannot be erased easily.

I use ballpen. I rarely use sign pens. I use pencils if I'm writing something that needs drafting. During regullar times, I always use my ballpen to write anything.
