Should you go to work if you have a cold?

A colleague of mine had quite a bad cold a few days ago and wasn't at work for a few days. Then she said she couldn't stay off any longer because she had too much to do. She came in, even though she hardly had a voice. A couple of days later I got the same cold - I've been ill all weekend and can't help thinking that she shouldn't have come in. That I wouldn't feel so ill now if she had stayed at home. But I also know that I'll be in the office come Monday. A few colleagues are off ill and my direct colleague is on holiday next weeks. I can't not be in. What do you think? Should ill colleagues make the effor to come in or rather stay at home with their bugs.

Very interesting topic you got there my friend.. I believe that both decisions will have negative impact with your work because if you decide to go to work with your colds then your colleagues might have colds as well.. The other part is that when you don't come in then your work for that thay will be assigned to someone which I think not a good situation for the one doing the job.. They say "Prevention is better than cure." So if you feel that you're gonna have fever, then it's always best to take medicine to avoid conflicts with your work.. Health is Wealth!

Good point. I hate taking medicine, but right now I can't afford being off ill, so I better get some in the morning before work. Oh well...
