is free online software safe?

hello friends tell me that, many people download free online software, is it safe? i think it is a riskful way, where anyone can hack your personal data. what do you think?

learn to look for trusted sites that offer free downloadble applications.and besides you can always scan the software before installing it. there is only one place i where i download free stuff because i know they are trusted.

Actually not all are safe. some have hidden viruses and trojan. Some even provide fake files. Nevertheless, there are many sites that offer free safe download. I myself have a site that provides free game downloads. I have downloaded all the files an checked them first before posting them. So all games on my site are safe. Be careful on trusting download site, though. Usually you can tell a site with many thank you comments is safe and trustworthy.

That all depends.
General speaking, if you download the free softwares from some websites that are unknown or alternative, you'd better be careful and make your computer data under protection. If you just want to download the free softwares from the popular and legit websites, it is unnecessary to be worried about the risk of viruses.
Of course, be careful is useful and necessary all the time. Everytime before you are ready to download something, make sure your computer have been under protection of security software.

yes it's very risky, you just have to be responsible enough in choosing the files to download and that includes those free online softwares, just make sure you have your antivirus loaded and updated everytime so that you'll be safe if ever you are tempted or decided to download any particular file.

yup it's risky, if you don't trust the site better not to download...keep up to dte antivirus in you pc..happy mylotting..
