We have Hartford right now for both, but I am wanting to see if you have any suggests on other insurance companies. We have to add my son to ours once he gets his license and it is very expensive!! The amount to add our son is equal to 3/4 of what my husband and I pay for us with having two vehicles and the house discount.
Please, share your opinions of your insurance company.

How do you like Geico? I was thinking of calling them for a quote. Are reasonable on their rates? Do they have a good customer support center?
I have never heard of Tower Hill, is it a national one or just local?
Thanks for replying ;-]

I had Allstate a long time ago, but they were really expensive at that time. I guess maybe they have lowered their rates over the years.
Thanks for sharing with me ;-]

We have Erie insurance and have really like having them. But I really don't know what it would be once we add the boys to it. I have heard this problem with a lot of different insurances going up a lot once you add you kids onto the auto policy.

That is one I have never heard of. Is it a local one for your area or is it a nationwide one (that I just haven't heard of)?
A friend of my mom's put her daughter on her policy and it only went up $38 a month. My son to be added will make ours jump up $130 a month. I know being a young, male driver makes the rates a higher, but to me that is ridiculous.
Thanks for your thoughts on this ;-]

We're with Progressive. So far it's only us, our daughter isn't driving yet. They have pretty good deal for us, but Im not sure how does it work when you add your kids into the policy. You might want to talk to them.

They were one of the ones that I was going to call. Have you ever had to contact their customer service center? If so, how was the experience. I know some have horrible customer service reps and I really don't like dealing those companies.
Thanks for sharing the info ;-]

I'm a young driver, 22 years old. My wife is 20 years old. We have State Farm. This insurance company is very good. Not only the quotes are lower than most, but the agents are very reliable and friendly. I had a car accident two years ago, and they covered everything. My quote only went up about $100 dollars. The accident was pretty bad, my car was totaled, but they pull through.

Wow that wasn't much of an increase at all. I may have to call them and see what kind of a quote they would give me.
Thanks for sharing the info ;-]

My auto insurance company is Geico and my homeowners insurance is through State Farm. I used to have State Farm for both but because of their high prices on auto, I decided to go with Geico and have been happy so far and do not plan on changing in the near future.

Well for our car we have Geico. It was the best deal we could find for insurance. However for the house we have Citizens for some of it and I can't remember the name for the rest. Citizens is really expensive but it's basically the only one in Florida for Wind and Flood. It makes it rough. I wish they would get more in with better pricing.

We have State Farm. They were the cheapest at the time, with the house discount. I love their service, and I've never had any complaints even though we had a claim with them years back.
I definitely wouldn't recommend Geico. We had them for 6 months, but in that period they lied to us about the original rate, and canceled it once because they hadn't processed an online check in time and they said it was 2 days late. No grace, no customer service, and we ended up waiting 2 days to have our new van delivered because they refused to change the vehicle at the time.
