i also go to internet cafe outside when my connection at home is slow. i hate it everytime i seat beside these teeners who play games online. they shout to their hearts content and never mind the other people who also are in the same roof. i just hope that net cafe owners should take action on this. they may lose other clients/customers because of that.

game users - These people who are addicted to games will benefit nothing from them and will be screwed totally at last.
Yeah, I hate these people who are addicted to the games online. At first, I have to say that it is really a waste of time if one spend much time on playing games. I have no interests in these games and even if I have some spare time, then I tend to do something useful other than playing games. Secondly, for the side effect on these games users, they have been addicted to another fictitious world. So, they often shout and mind others. We can benefit nothing from games obviously, especially for these young people who are addicted to it, they will be screwed totally at last.

yeah you're right. the downside of it is that they are now focusing almost entirely on in-game achievements rather than broader life events. i have read that effects (or symptoms) of video game overuse are similar to those of other proposed psychological addictions.Video game overuse may be, like compulsive gambling, an impulse control disorder. It is that sad. i hope parents too should attend to this concern.

Interesting viewpoint, getbrowser. Obviously you exist in a pretty small world there. 'I hate these people who are addicted to the games online'. How would you feel if I told you I do online gaming? Do you now hate me? Guess what? People may consider things you like to do a 'waste of time'. Do you agree? I actually don't game much any more, but when I do, it's rather fun. You can benefit nothing from gaming? Hmmmm. That is how I met and married my husband. I am also probably twice the age of most of the online gamers you likely see in internet cafes. Think please before you believe everybody is the same and make such scathing comments based on how you view online gaming. Thank you.

I know that's the reason I never like going to cafe's, even the top cafes in the City have abusive players. I think the owners don't mind as these players are daily customers.

that was what i was thinking too since the admin of that cafe are after their profits from these noisy customers/clients. they don't even see the other side of it in which they will tend to lose their other groups of clients who are the silent ones.hehe.

I do agree with that. That's why some computer shops, especially the big ones, have computers for net browsers and they also have a different room wherein gamers can play in. The computers there are also set up to satisfy gamers with either their online or LAN gaming. Same thing for casual computer users who use the computer from checking email, social networking or even doing research for their papers.

Hahaha, I play games before and a little now, Yea somehow we do shout for excitement hahaha, but I guess that Cafe needs to isolate people who only go online. ^_^ Some of the cafe's here did that already, gamers on this room and the others on that room ^_^ it's expensive though but I think for people like you, you don't mind paying additional fee so just you don't seat beside a noisy people ^_^ happy mylotting!!

yes you are right sometime teenagers make shouting while gaming. i am also a internet cafe owner and know that situation and i handle this with very cool minded. i ask those boys very frankly to make silence because they disturbing other people and they understand me. if i also shout on them they will getting angry and i lost my customer. so handle this situation with very cool mind is very important. have a nice day.

I agree to that. That is why I convinced my aunt to have a broadband connection in our apartment.

I would think there'd be rules and that if they weren't followed the person would be first reminded of the rules and then next kicked out. Of course if the owners or moderators of said places are not aware of said out breaks then you would think enough people would complain. I'm not sure how these places work though I assume if you stand up and walk away your computer time can be taken by another user.

Perhaps the internet cafe owner should separate the room somewhat so people who are there to game have a section where they won't 'disturb' others and other people don't have to worry about them. I will respectfully disagree with your statements and those of the first responder, who had nothing but rotten things to say about online gamers. I happen to BE one of those and gaming is NOT a waste of time although it is a timesink. I don't play at an internet cafe, I play at home when I do play. There are some modifications we use, such as TS which is a program that allows you to chat live instead of having to type everything. Some of the gamers at the cafe may be using something like that... teamspeak, ventrilo, etc. It makes sense that people bash things they know nothing about, but that's why I figure I'd fill you in a bit. One more thing, you forget those teenagers are a very good and reliable source of income for the cafe owners. I can tell you if I owned one of those and I had a reliable number of paying teenagers and the only issue was that they were noisy? I'd put up with the noise. I'd rather lose one complaining customer than alienate the 6 teenagers who came in every single day.

Hi Flagella, My personal friend who is also a myLot member has just told me about her displeasure whenever she goes to an internet cafe(just like you, she does this whenever she has poor internet connection at home). And she too complained of the gamers who don't care about the other clients who are there to get internet access but not to listen to their loud screams. You're right, something should be done by the owners to keep customers from going away.

unfortunately, yes, they don't take into consideration that they are in a public place and they're not in the comfort of their own homes. Somehow, I think this kind of behavior has somewhat become acceptable in internet cafes because I've seen it so many times and witnessed it, too, when I am in other countries and I need an internet connection.

yeah even i come accross these kinda people nd i ask them to be silent coz its really disturbing.may be a solution for this is to create separate rooms one for the gamers nd the other one for users who would come for a chat.this wouldnt create any problems for the owner nd people like us too and the gamers can shout at their highest pitch.gud day.

That's a thing you have to deal when you go to internet shops, usually these are group of teeners who are making the noise while playing online games, usually they know each others so they have the guts to shout as loud as they can without thinking of the other users inside the room . Some computers shops understands these kind of situations that's why they isolate game users between pure internet user just like in the case of netopia here in manila and it seems to be the best solution without suppressing these gamers showing emotion and a the same time allowing those non gamers to work on their thing peacefully.

Yes, I agree 100 percent to that because I feel that in public places we must observe proper behavior by not to distract somebody by shouting or giggling and as if they own the place itself I hate people who are noisy in public places especially when you are working on something and you need a little place or little privacy.

As far as I know there is an Internet café where the old Counter-Strike team SK used (or maybe still do?) to play. The teams do shout really loud, but not like "Hey I'm the best" or "haha i owned you". Its more like they are telling each other tactical information. Often teams have a tactical head who coordinates this. So screaming around while gaming isn't always just some weird teenagers who are too much into gaming ;). But of course proffessional gaming is something different than casual Internet cafe gaming

Hi Flagella, Hmmmmmmmm, ya that's the problem in every cafe in every cite can't do much in that....try finding a cafe where this is less or go to the cafes at times when these shouting freak heads are not there.... Cafe owners can't do much in this matter they are there regular customers. Have funn
