my english is bad

i believe you will learn english well!you can read more and speak more in english!My english is not good,too.let us study together!

You do have a good way. Why don't you hang around here on mylot? The more you use English the more you will learn. First you'll learn to apply English grammar rules better and also some new words. It can all be done here. Mind, English isn't my mother tongue either and I've just turned eighteen, so if I can do it everyone can do it, I am so clumsy.

There are many ways to improve your English. listening news, writing, chatting by English every day...however you should memorize new words or grammar structure that you see and try to use it in the next situation. Make a habit to read and practice English every day, and if you have some friends who speak English for communication, that will be so good. I hope one day you will be confident with your English.

I think listening comes at first. Try to find some audio materials to listen to. Then read , read, and read. Reading is very important after listening.

So is mine but I don't care about it. As long as I can send my message where I intend to send and the receiver understands it, this is fine with me. I am not much worried about grammar etc unless I am not writing to get it published because then I have few helps to correct and punctuate wherever the need be. So nothing to worry, none minds our English.

there are many opportunities to improve your english considering courses online or offline...surely if you relate this fact as regards mylot i think you can try writing here and improve your knowledge too!!In reality in some cases wouldn't be easy write so much posts but you cna improve it day by day so consideirng a short period you will be able to write or know more words and senteces to explain your opinions!!

I think alot of members here they start at very poor English but later on when they are active here, there's a big difference! Even me I considered myself not a good communicator in English because I was born as Cebuano one of the major language in the Philippines. Now, I improved because of mylot. Be active here and continue posting with your discussions and responses.

we should learn to speak about english because this is universal language. everywhere we go, the important language is english. start reading books, use dictionary and thesaurus, watch the tv like movies much better if there's subtitle about english, talk with your family, friends in english.

i wouldn't worry too much, i,m UK resident and believe me when i say a lot of English people don't even use the language properly all the kids talking slang all the time is embarressing

I am english and don't think I could learn a new language. I am just too english and have been for too many years. If you are wanting to learn english so you can earn more from writing I would say that you could look for translators and write in your own language and then have it converted to english. I have a few french friends here that help me out when I translate something to french. They will check it and mark the things I need to change.

hi weilie001, your english is probably better than many peoples' speaking of your language . if you want to learn english you will so don't worry. watch lots of old and new english films. buy english magazines and watch lots of english television and listen to english bbc news on the radio. join english speaking groups. enjoy your english and you will pick it up faster.

read English book aloud, or use a mirror, watch English films and series, then try to imitate how they talk, how they pronounce the words, and the manner of delivering it.. do that more often and you'll see, you will improve.
