Hi, Ice!
I find it more difficult to get to sleep when I'm very tired than any other time. Then, of course, I really, really don't want to get up in the morning. Work time won't wait, though!

Hi, icesmile. Yes, if I allow my body to get comfortable in the resting phase, I can go to sleep. When I am very exhausted, all it takes is for me to have a soft and clean bed to lay in. This will help me get my body off to sleep. I am sorry that it takes more for you to be able to rest like you desire. I hope that one day you can get the best peaceful sleep that your body needs.

Its not hard for me to sleep when I am very tired. I will actually fall comfortably asleep in my bed. If I'm anywhere else though, like on the sofa or a driving car, I may not be able to fall asleep. I find it very hard unless I am in a bed.

Yes that is a fact once you are too tired you cannot sleep properly unless your body is relaxed. Therefore the best way to over come such tiredness is to relax your body take a shower or better still try some massage. You will feel better and have nice sleep.

I have to go to bed before I get so tired.
When I force myself to stay awake (something I am very good at.) , then I cannot sleep. Or I will sleep for an hour an wake up again. The next day I will be so tired again, that I of course still cannot sleep right.
I am at that point know, it is 23:53 I could keep at it here on MyLot. I so want too. But if I do, I won't be able to sleep.
So I am going to sleep know.
The only advise I can give you, is try sleeping earlier, when you are not too tired.
Take care,sleep tight.

If I am real tired I can not sleep during the day. At night though when I go to bed I fall right to sleep with no problems. I can not sleep anywhere when I am tired it has to be at home only and at night.

For me it depends. Sometimes I can sleep, other times it's like I'm so exhausted that I can't. I don't know if that makes any sense but there are times when I feel so wired that my nerves can't calm down enough for me to sleep even when I'm really tired. Sometimes I can sleep anywhere, other times, I just can't.

Usually, I can't sleep immediately. Even if I am so tired, I will spend some time recollecting what happened today.
When I was very young, I formed a habit of talking to myself on night, ususally aske myself different questions, make a self-criticism and encourage myself, and then I could feel a temporary blankness in mind even forget what to do next. Then, I tend to make a plan for the next whole new day.
After having done that, then I will go to sleep easily without any anxiety.

I am the same way. Especially if I just got off work and I have had a stressful time. Being a college student stresses me out bad an sometime it takes me a really long time to even get sleepy because of all the thoughts on my mind.

I sleep very well if I am tired. I most times go to sleep tired and fall to sleep very easily. I think if our body and mind is not tried most times we might think of something and will not sleep easily. I most times tries to take a good bath before going to sleep. I think you might try to have a hot bath before going to sleep. I think it changes from person to person.

Whenever I find it difficult to fall asleep I usually get a small snack of diet soda, and some chips. I then reach for a paperback book on my bed side table that I have been reading, turn on some lght classical music on my cable station, or FM radio and start enjoying both the book and snack. I do not look at the clock or worry about the time as I used to. I now feel that if I lose a few hours tonight, I will be able to catch up the next night.

Hi icesmile. How are you..? Sleep.. That is the most important part of the human life. When you are tired of day long more physical and mental work it is quite nature you should get sound sleep..but if you don't get sleep in such condition then there is some thing wrong physically or by health. When you get usual time to sleep you must think of only sleeping leaving aside all other aspects..like worries..problems..etc..etc. Doctors say we should not eat full stomach before going to bed. We all know Nepolean used to sleep on the way to his destination while sitting on the horse..Reading any book before going for sleep is also very good habit..One more thing if you do Yoga..Medidation..Exercises..etc you can get good and instant sleep when you want to sleep. Very nice research.
Thanks for giving an opportunity to share my views.
WISH YOU INSTANT AND DEEP SLEEP.

When I am tired, I can sleep very well no matter where. All I need to do is to close my eyes. I ever fell asleep at the salon! I can even sleep on the coach from Malaysia to Singapore (7 hours journey) without even waking up. That show how tired I was. I slept like a baby.

If I'm tired because I'm sleepy, then I probably be able to fall asleep anywhere. When I get very sleepy, I feel too drained to do anything & my eyes will close involuntarily.
On the other hand, if I'm tired, but not sleepy, then I don't fall asleep so easily. Only if I shut my eyes will I fall asleep, usually after about 15 to 30 minutes.
