Did anything bad happen to you yesterday, Friday the 13th?

It was Friday the 13th yesterday. Usually I do not care or worry. However while surfing yesterday I clicked on an innocent link on a decent site. Actually there was a virus there. I realised it a bit late but just in time. It got in but was caught by the antivirus. I had to do quite a bit of scanning to make sure there was no virus. Its safe now. But it was a bad experience. It does not usually happen. Was this due to the day? Should I be more careful on next Friday the 13th?

I think it must have been a coincidence. Nothing bad really happened to me yesterday. It's a good thing you caught it though before it got too bad.

Most likely it was a coincidence. But I am not superstitious. Maybe someone put it there as a joke for Friday 13th? I had nothing bad happen yesterday. I didn't even think about the date.

Perhaps it was a coincidence. But a computer virus is no joke.

I agree and people are really annoying that make them. I got a virus on my computer a while ago and it nearly destroyed it. Luckily my hubby managed to sort it out in time. Thank goodness your anti-virus caught it in time

I actually had a pretty good day yesterday. Nothing bad happened to me that I know of. Oh, wait a minute. Yes. Something did happen. My computer started going haywire all of a sudden for some off reason. I ran my spyware and it did not fix the problem. My antivirus didn't detect anything either. I restarted my computer and everything was fine though. There were extra windows opening on their own and the text size kept changing on its own even though I went and changed it to the way it was supposed to be. It kept doing that until I decided to restart the computer and run my spyware xapper.

Hi, VANILLAREY. I am glad that you solved that problem. Very close shot!! It could have been due to Friday the 13th but there is no telling. From this, it is best to take precaution next time too.

Nothing bad happened to you on other days? I broke my arm on 14th July, this happened 7 years ago, but still, how do you make relation between the date and the happening? I think this thing is for children, not for persons who can think. It doesn't matter what day it is, eventually everybody will have bad days and good days. If it is Friday 13th and you are having a rough day, than it is a coincidence. I hope you'll understand what I am trying to explain.

Bad/funny....yes. I am doing a craft sale in town here....well I use a folding lawn chair to sit in my booth.....I was sitting there and leaned forward and the whole chair collapsed...people were standing everywhere...and I had a hard time getting up because it broke into pieces! After I got up and disposed of the chair I had a good laugh...but when I was laying there it wasn't so funny!

Yes, something bad did happen. I met someone and I thought he was very nice. We talked for hours and I really thought somthing was beginning. But, no. He is such a demented character. It all becomes this thing where people just can't give up the past. Everyone they meet is this stereotypical persona from their past. Sad.

This is a great discussion! I had to work on the 13th and it was the most horrible day I've had in a very long time. I'm a manager in a fast food rest. and my day started off with one of my openers calling in. Any time this happens your whole day is thrown off by trying to get their job done as well as your own. It was so bad I couldn't even give my crew their full 30 minute breaks, at least they understood and were great about it. Then we got very busy very early. A second manager was suppose to be there at 12. Well 12 came and went and no other manager. I finally managed to get ahold of her to find out she thought she had to be there at 2. A little after 1 she comes walking in the door, ladedah. Then later that day the system shut down on me and I'm on the phone trying to get us back up. Finally managed to do that but by that time stress was the name of the game. I never had problems before on friday the 13th but I guess I got all mine in at one time. Now I'm watching the calendar for the next one, think I'll call in that day, just kidding.

Hello my friend VANILLAREY Ji, All days including all Fridays are good to me. I just donot think that way and carry tension whole day. I believe,'WHATEVR IS TO APPEN, WILL HAPPN'. No one can stop it. Itake it as God's will. I further strongly beleive taht 'EVERYTHING HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR ITS GOODNESS'

hello everyone, That type of small incidents happen everyday in my life. They are just a now part of my life. You should not worry for such a small incident. that type of incidents happen only occasionally. That has no connection to the day but if you want to remain superstitious I don't have any problem in that. But I prefer you must be careful every time you surf the web. Good luck, Happy mylotting.

I am not superstitious...but...just to answer your question..on what happened on Friday. I went to a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant located at a rather unfamiliar area. Promised to meet a friend there. I started the journey at 2 pm...got lost...went around in circles at the same area 3 times...and were only able to reach the restaurant at 5 pm...after asking for directions 4 times from 4 different petrol stations...only to realize that I was not informed of a right turn by the first three pump attendants...(thus my little demise). Reached the place...feeling famished...but ended up laughing at the whole experience. Something I will never forget...will I be careful come the next Friday 13th?...Nope...it's just a day...we decide how things turn out to be...I mean how we want to perceive it...

No, actually, my niece had her baby the day before Friday the 13th, and she is beautiful and healthy, 8 lbs and 10.4 ounces, she was a big baby. I held her yesterday, and it was my first time ever holding a newborn like that just a day after they were born. The only other baby I did that with was my brother, and that was 23 years ago. The 13th is always a great day for me. I do not understand why people think that it is such a bad day.

I think we should be careful every day and I usually joke and say Friday the 13th is my lucky day, but there were 3 different accidents on the freeway yesterday and it took me 4 hours to get home from a trip that is usually 1 1/2 hrs away. I left to take friends to the doctor at 8 a.m. and instead of turning around and coming home, my friend ended up having to go to the hospital and so it was evening rush hour before I got back on the road and then the accidents. Well, you could say I was unlucky, but even though it was long past dark when I got home, unlike my friend, I DID get home, and unlike some of the people on the road, I am alive and uninjured. So maybe it was a lucky day after all.

No thank goodness nothing bad happened to me yesterday. I try not to think about it because sometimes I think that if you think about it enough something just might happen, like maybe you are looking for it and it will happen. I'm glad that your computer is virus free though. Way to go! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

vanillarey probably some meanie thought it funny to try to infect your computer with a virus on friday the 13th. but the thirteenth did not really have anything to do with it. It was a lucky day or morn rather for me.Cal Edison turned our lights off from ten oclock on the twelth to 2 am the morning of the thirteenth. so when i went to mylot it had thrown me off the internet. my son had told me the previous night that if it did that to pull the skinny wires on the modem and the router then replug them in ,waiting a minute between the two. not being technically good i was very nervous but i did it and it worked. I turned my computer back on and voila I was on the net again.hurrah for me. I did my own resetting of my computer.

Nothing negative at all happened on Friday the 13th. I am sorry to hear about the virus in your computer; it sounds as though it was deliberately set up to do damage on this particular day. I wouldn’t worry about it for next time, just be watchful of your PC as usual and don’t concern yourself with Friday the 13th, I think it is a superstition and they only come to pass if people believe they will. I have never had anything bad happen on this day!

Noting, actually instead of bad things, good things happens to me, my mom gave me money to buy a new computer chair and broadband connection, now i have a new chair and two internet connection. 1 broadband and 1 dsl. and that is fun! Friday the 13 is only a day and a number nothing to be feared of that day and number will not hurt us unless someone intended to hurt us. Still it is not a unlucky and scary day. It still depends on a people, you know the more you think that something bad will happen to you, the higher the probability of that event will happen to you.
