Are You or Your Wife Hard Headed When They Have Menstruation??

Philippines

I just became very curious why women are really harded when they have menstruation. Yesterday, I was talking my girl friend, and she is really hard headed. I wonder why, I know her as a very sweet and very loving lady. But yesterday, I was surprise because she like a tiger who is really hungry and wants to eat all the people that is near her. I have heard from a common friend that she has a menstruation that is why she acts like that. My question is,do you girls really need to change your mood everytime that you have menstruation? Is it because it is painful? What about you guys, how do you adjust with your wife or your friend who has a menstruation who is hard headed? Share your opinion.

hello rberon... its something that i also don't understand. i don't like this to happen but i just can't avoid it... mood swings..yeah, i am having those at times and i hate it, my husband also hates it... i guess it has something to do with hormones...coz you know, when we are having our period, there are also some hormones activity...i think and yes sometimes the pain and the uncomfortable feelings also adds on irritation...hehe just try to understand her...

Hi CK, Here's another one on menstruation... go girl! I am in pain during my cycle but not so much with mood swings that will irritate my hubby. Maybe it is prevented because i used to inform him when i have and he's extra sweet and he even give me light massage on my lower back and my head too (i always have migrane) every time i have my period. Nice to see you around friend! How can i forget that fuschia pink eye...i know it's you friend!

Hi rberon, I must say the "change" in girls' moods during her period is triggered by the pain that she feels while on it. It is an awful, sometimes unbearable pain that makes one feel irritated at the slightest provocation about anything. While it should not be an excuse for us girls, we will always appreciate your (guys') tolerance and understanding.

It'sot actually the pain. Some women don't experience any pain. It's the hormone imbalance that cause the irritation and mood swings. Some women have a complete change of personality, it's nothing they can control.

Hi Rberon, I never give my husband or anyone that i work with a hard time during my menses. I can manage whatever mood i have it's only the heaviness of feeling, migraine and dysmenorhea are what concerns me and my husband. By the way i only have my period twice or thrice a year (very irregular but that's my regular cycle) but it usually lasted for two weeks but again no headaches for my hubby all the pains in me. He gives me light massage and more pillow under my back.

Lucky for those women who are not so affected when they have menstruation. Those who are affected,we should learn to respect and understand their feeling. It is not easy for them to have a menstruation.

I was born hard headed so that Never changes. The best way I can describe it is this. Think how you would feel if you had a contant stomach pain and you felt like you had to go to the bathroom All the time for 5 days. I don't know about other women but wheni learned I had to go through this Every month I Knew G-d was a man and was Still pi$$ed off about the Eden thing1 I Never wanted children so all of this is so un necessary!

Now Rberon, let's not blame it on our period. LOL Seriously, menstruation can be painful and uncomfortable for some women. Its been the butt of many jokes. Put yourself in her shoes. She now has to watch what she wears just to be safe. She's bloated and maybe experiencing pain from cramping and there you are expecting her to be her cheery self. Maybe she got a little annoyed. Its not a man's fault. They dont know what it's like. Just imagine you're experiencing severe stomach cramps from the worse case of diarrhea you've ever had. That's menstruation in a nutshell. I will let you in on a little something we do have mood swings, a craving for chocolate, and maybe a slight moment or two of psychotic behavior but if you indulge us rather than patronize us we will appreciate you just that much more. I promise. Happy Menstruating dl

It's not that we change our mood, but that's just the way it is.. sometimes, it's not painful per se, but it's quite uncomfortable.. and when people are uncomfortable, they tend to get irritated easily.. I usually hate talking to others when I have my period, and I get irritated easily, so I usually give a heads up to my boyfriend, before we start fighting. lol.

Hormones that is the answer. A big rush of them. We are a very defensive, emotional trainwreck. That is the answer to your question. I do not know how else to describe it. It is the same when we are pregnant. Some women are lucky not to have these big rushes, but some are not. I hope this clears it up for you. Just be understanding with your mate when this happens because most of the time it is uncontrollable. Watch out and keep your head down from anything flying. Just kidding.

There was a time in my life that this would have been the perfect description of me when I was menstruating. However, that period of my life is passed now. I don't behave like that now. I will admit that I do get moody and I may not always be myself, but I am not totally bull-headed anymore. And, on the days where it seems like I am at my worst, you can always give me some chocolate and I will definitely be back to my typical self.

Hi rberon, My gf also has the problem with menstruation, everytime when she menstruate, she feel very painful and tired especially on the first or second day of the period, but luckily not grumpy and tempered. I totally understand and sympathize her, so I give her some light massage on her belly and lower back. Anyone knows how to cure the pain of abdomen in the girl's period? Best Regards,

Wow, it is a common topic on menstruation here, but it seldom happened on the topic that issued by the men.. It is normal that mood swings while they are under the menstruation period or before or after the period. It is the normal physiological react for the girls. Some react serverely saying headache, stomache, some reacts slightly that they did not feel well only, which will not affect too much on the life. If your girl friend react apparently, I suggest she go to the doctor to prescribe the herbs to ajust. If not, you could do some plesant thing to divert her attention on the slight painness. Do you know how the menstruation formed? We could spit the words to " men instruct", thus men plays a important part on it. Just kidding.

I am a woman. I find that I can be moody, especially if I am cramping, which is what generally hurts for women. Though sometimes we can hurt in other areas that aren't really cramping. Also being bloated, and / or hungry can be a big thing. Usually I don't talk to my husband when cramping but apologize after I feel better for not talking to him. I think he understands, but when he just gets home and doesn't get the attention he deserves he gets a bit aggravated. I am trying to work on that, I hardly ever cramp and when I do I can always grin and bear it to make my husband happy! I make it sound like he's a horrible man, he is not, it's just that when I cramp it isn't really as bad as I make it seem... I'm just a baby when it comes to pain!

Yes I'm easily gets irritated and I think all women experience mood swing during menstruation. I think it is because of our hormones that's why we easily gets angry or moody when we have menstruation.

My mood changes every time I have my menstrual period. I love to eat always and I easily get mad to somebody and I have very low patience. But after my period my mood comes back into normal again.

I am not really need to change my mood every time that I have menstruation. I just feel mood swings, and of course the uncomfortable feeling is really irritated me. My boy friend and me hate it very much. My boy friend will avoid to meet or date with me during my menstruation. He asked me to control my emotion before, but if I really can control emotion, why I want to behave like that? Sometimes crying, sometimes fierce, sometimes smiling...... I think I will behave better if he try to understand me, put his palm on my stomach to relief my pain, just hug me to show his love to me and vice versa.
