Do you think it is essential to separate telungana district from Andhra pradesh? What is the real need behind it?Is there any good reasons which would improver the people or it is just another political game?

I don’t know how justified this division is going to be as because I have no idea about its origin and the grievances of the people.
However, I believe Indian states were created on the basis of language without taking into consideration the ethnicity and traditional divisions that have existed in this land since ages. It is true that after the modern states came into being, many such ethnic groups had nothing similar with the broader state of which they were a part. And the broader states on their part, did little to assimilate these ethnical regions…they only capitalized on the resources of these areas in trying to build their own base.
My state West Bengal is seeing similar demands for Gorkhaland, which if viewed neutrally, is very legitimate. Darjeeling and its areas have been giving revenue to WB for ages in terms of tourism and tea but the Gorkhalis have nothing in common with the Bengalis…rather they are treated with derision as Gorkha durwans in respectable Bengali homes! I feel they too should have the right to have their own state.
Similar sentiments and aspirations have led to the creation of Jharkhand, Uttaranchal and Chhattisgarh and it would not be wrong to consider other similar demands if there is sustained mass movement and if the size of the proposed state is feasible enough for it to survive independently.
This might look as if the integrity of the country is at stake but look at the USA…it has almost double the number of states we have yet they all have their own independence while adhering to a federal law applicable to all. I really think its time we give a second look to our constitution and incorporate the necessary changes as time demands.

You are right.Every politician wants to be in power and if they can't find a way, then they start thinking crookedly. An up growing country like India will suffer a lot by such interstate problems. There is no end if everybody is going to ask for a separate state for them.In fact, voices like that have started to hear from all directions,by now.

The NINE Telangana Districts had always wanted to be separated from the Andhra districts. The trouble kept erupting every now and then. In 1969 I was in school. The late former Chief Minister Dr M.Chenna Reddy spearheaded the first ever Separate Telangana agitation. He was "mollified" to give up his obsession, when he was made the CM and an agreement was brokered by the then PM Mrs Gandhi(= the only Man in her cabinet)under which the CMs are to be chosen on a 2:1:1 basis for consecutive terms, so that the uniform development of all the three regions that constitute AP(Telangana, Andhra(or the so called Circars Districts) and the Rayalaseema. Thus one seat of Political Power and all the logic for a separate was "conveniently" forgotten. The loss was for idiotic students who got into thr trap of these self-centered politicians. Then a few years into this arrangement, the Andhra Districts agitated to be separated. This was also quelled by diplomacy. It is only public property and people, mainly students who lost in both these movements.
The points raised in each of these "movements" were meaningful but given the go by the moment some personal gains for the so called leaders were offered.

Yes!Cheap politicians give up their stand for benefits of their own. They put the common people in stake for their gins and change their attitudes when the scene favors them. And the people forget their double standards soon and still go behind them.India will rise better only when the common man stops encouraging this dual role politicians.

Divide and rule was the slogan of the british, and even after so many years, we are still fighting for division, this will only bring more hatred, and more fightings,
we must stop this

If this is approved, then all the state people will ask for separations based on their locality or even castes. Then we will go to those age where there were more little kingdoms and kings ruling just a little village and always fighting against each other!I just can't imagine it which will pull our legs backwards.

Real dirty politics.the ugly politicians don't think of the future of the nation.Instead, they want to have a bright future for them and their family members and for that they do all third rate dramas. They say that they are fighting for the people but that is not true.
