Car accident

Today my husband was involved in a car accident. The weather has been terrible, and there was a lot of snow everywhere. Luckily my husband wasn't injured, and the driver in the other car is okay, too. My husband was very shocked when he got home, and he was afraid that I would blame him for the accident. Part of it was his fault, but I am just really happy that he is okay. The car was badly damaged in the accident, it will be expensive to get it fixed, and it will be hard for us to live without a car for a while, as my live in a small village in the countryside, but those things are nothing compared to my husband's health. Our dog was in the car, and nothing happened to him either. My husband is still in shock I think, and I am trying to support him as much as I can. Have you been involved in a car accident?

Hi porcospino It is indeed great to hear that both your husband and the dog were safe. It is all God's miracle who saved your dear husband and the dear dog for which you owe him a lot. You are right. Nothing is dearer compared to your hubby because you love him most. Now that it is one month over, I think your husband might have recovered from the shock. God bless you and your husband and give you both a happy and long life my dear friend

Thank you Yes, it has been a month now, and my husband is feeling better. At first he was afraid to drive again, now he has started driving again, but he is supercareful in the snow.

I had a deadly accident. I was in my school in the school bus when the driver left the bus gate open and the moment it rushed my teacher fell off and I was the second to be thrown out of the bus due to speed. I was in the mid of the road but thank god it was in the school premises only and so there was no other car or vehicle to crush me. I was attended by other people and then I lost my conscience. I found myself later in the nearby hospital with 8 stitches in my knee with a swollen face and scratches. Thank God I did not have any bone injury or else. it has been 10 years now but I still get afraid remembering that incident. My teacher who felt down before me has a permanent scar on her face

i'm glad that nothing happen to your hubby and you are definitely right that life is much more important than anything in this world... you can replace a car but not a life... hopefully your hubby will recover soon and he will be alright... praise the Lord for His guidance over our lives... take care and have a nice day...

Glad to hear that noone was hurt in the car accident. Yes, when my son was about 2 1/2 years old I was driving the car and got a little close to the side of a dirt road and brought it back the wind was blowing hard and I lost control and went off into the ditch on the other side of the dirt road. The car roll one complete roll. Neither me nor my son were badly hurt. We had a few bumps and bruises but that was all. My husband was not mad at me he was just glad that the both of us were not hurt badly.

Driving in snow and in winter can be really dangerous. It snowed really hard the other day where I live, while I was on the freeway and I was very nearly in an accident- in fact I statred a discussion about it, too. I have only been driving for about 8 months now, and I must say I am lucky I haven't been in an accident yet. I always try to drive very carefully and never trust other drivers.

Wow. Bad day. Kinda changes the perspective you have on life a little bit doesn't it? Funny how much it takes for us to realize how fragile our lives are. I have been in an accident that I can still cannot explain how I survived un-hurt. Long story short, I hit some black ice going 50mph in my pickup and ended up in a field on my side. Hope everything works out for you financially.

Yes, this accident did change my perspective. Yesterday my husband and I passed another car accident, we felt very sorry for the people involved, but we never imagined that the same thing would happen to my husband one day later. The accident reminds me how fragile everything is, and it makes me appreciate the good things in my life even more than I normally do.

Let me start off by saying I am really happy for you that you and your hubby are well and the other driver. There are others that have not been able to say that. I have to say that I understand his shock and being shaken up. There was a lady today that pulled right out in front of me today. She pulled out and stopped I would have hit her head on to the drivers side. I was very shaken up and was relieved when I actually stopped to get gas just a little bit afterward. I would say keep supporting him and make sure he really is okay, some accidents can cause hidden injuries.

glad to hear your husband is ok. my partner rolled his parents 4wd last yr, it just started raining and he'd gone to pick up our son from school. only got 400 metres down the track when he rolled it, slide perfectly in between a few trees, you'd miss it coming from one direction. the 4wd ended on it's side, and he was stuck there for about an hour. before his parents came and found him. my parents picked up our son from school, and my dad came and told what happened. my inlaws had been debating about what to do with the vehicle, my partner sorted it out for them.

Well my parent's and I use to take long business trips in the car when I was little, and my parent's say that over many years of traveling that we were in a few fender benders, though I was to young to remember, but thankfully know one was seriously hurt. I'm sorry to read such news but at least your husband is ok, and not injured I hope that you'll be able to get another car soon I know how difficult it can be without transportation.

Hello.:-) Sorry to hear about your husband's accident. God is truly good that He protected your husband's life and your dog's, too. THat car can be replaced but the lives of our loved ones can never be replaced by anything or even just by anyone else. I had a car accident when I was in college. I never experienced having one until one day, out of a crazy thought, wondered how does one feel in a car accident. Viola! The car slipped and it rolled over several kilometers. I was trapped inside and suffered leg injury for a month... It was scary!!!

it's only the car. it can be replaced/fixed. what matters most is that your husband is okay and he is not injured. he needs your comfort and support at this time. he may even experience trauma for a while - if the shock you said is that terrible - but eventually he'll get back in shape that for sure, with your support of course. God Bless!

A car can be replaced eventually but a life can't. I'm sure you are grateful that he is ok. I have never been involved in a accident thank God. That and fire are my biggest fears. I'm happy that your husband is ok and the other driver too. I think the blame of the accident really falls on the weather. If it was nice and sunny out this wouldn't have happened. Take care and good luck to both of you.

I have my license for a little longer than one year now. Didn't have an accident yet. Just two days ago I went to school and the guy in front of me drove to fast and in the corner he started sliding on snow and hit the edge of pavement with both wheels. Than I went to parking lot and there was police taking notes about about a crash to parked car. Then I started walking to the school and another car drove pass me pretty fast and I knew he is going to hit the pavement two. The people inside were launched off their sits a little. People be careful with snow and icy roads! PS: This week I got a ticket for inappropriate parking(side of the road near school like others park because there is not enough space...first ticket), I changed vipers, and today my mother had a flat so I changed tires...hopefully everything will be ok for a while.

Forgot to say...you can always buy another car or a part but you can't buy someone's life back so I'm glad he's ok. Probably you both arent happy about the car but...s*** happenes.
