I would never go to the beach barefoot. The sand can get scortching hot. Their are also crabs you have to look out for. I am deathly afraid of them and would not want to get pinched. That would hurt so bad. I am not for all of that. I like my feet and don't want them pinched or burned! When I have went to the beach I have always had sandles on. They are a life safer. I love the beach when I get a chance to go it is so nice a rewarding. I can get a nice tan while I am there. I would not recommend going barefoot to the beach.

Yeah I like walking on the hot sand(if not to hot) but I hate putting my shoes back on if I do not get all the sand off though.....Used to be in the 80's and early 90's you never heard much of people getting hurt on the beach like you do now..... In the past year the beach accidents have been numerous in numbers....

It's true that there is risk of getting harm from crabs and get cut your feet from sea shells. But still I take the risk of going in barefoot because I like when the sea water goes away from the shore and dipping my feet on it is a nice experience for me. It's the most beautiful moment when I feel sands going below my feet with each returning of waves and creates a tickling effect below my feet. I like it.

yup i have been to beach barefoot before. Wearing sandals on the beach isn't very nice as sand gets in them its hard to walk and so on. But obviously when the sand is scorching hot sandals are necessary. When the sand is hot and im barefoot, i find it is nice to bury my feet in the sand as it tends only to be the top layer of sand that is scorching hot =D

When I was younger, I went not to a beach, but to an Island off the coast of nc. I learned a hard lesson that year. everyone told me to keep my shoes on, but because my feet didn't get burned the first day I was there, I didn't listen. I went barefoot again the next day, not thinking anything of it, but it had gotten hotter the next day and I burnt my feet SOOOO bad that day, they they had actually turned a light purple and swelled. We were on the island for a week and only got to enjoy the first two days. The rest of the time, I was stuck in a tent, unable to come out for anything, because I couldn't walk. I will NEVER take my shoes off at the beach again, not even now.

But you can't really feel the sand between your toes. I love that feeling, i think its awesome. It feels so funny. I'm afraid of crabs too, their pinchers do hurt. I sometimes wouldn't recommend goin barefoot on certain beaches. It really just depends on what beaches you would pick to go to.

Whenever I go to the beach I always end up barefoot. Shoes always get sand in them. I'm even thinking of running a race barefoot on the beach, but I'm not sure if my feet can take it yet and I don't have many places where I can practice running barefoot either.
I wouldn't recommend getting a tan though.

I go to beach barefoot only. I don't feel comfort with slippers in sand especially. Also don't want my slippers to get wet as it difficult for me wear a wet slippers while returning.

Our home is just a few minutes drive to beaches. The great thing is that there are a lot of beaches in our are with great white sands. I always take the opportunity to walk in the beach on barefoot. I feel like having a massage on my foot every time I walk on the beach. It is really great for me. Sometimes, I just stroll around the shoreline for a few minutes and enjoy the pleasure of having my feet getting a massage.

I did a few times back when I was young but now that I know that the sand can always be scorching hot. I usually do once I go near the water and check the sand if it is or not. I love the sand pass thru my toes but we can never tell how hot it will be if so better to be careful.

I love the feel of the sand and the struggle one needs to wade through the sand bare footed which I am told is a very good exercise. One can avoid the scorching sun and get to the beach at a time when the sun is not so hot.

I have walked down to the beach with bare feet also. The sand is not that hot in the morning time. It does get hot at noon and in the evening though. I always have to wear shoes during those times too.

Do you not go into the water when you go to the beach? Why go to the beach? Why not just go into your back yard and get a tan? There is nothing like swimming in the ocean. I used to go to the beach and catch different animals including crabs and lobsters by hand. I never got pinched either. I can understand not walking on the hot sand especially if it is a long walk to where yo are going to set up.

Hey there! I sometimes go to the beach barefoot. White sand doesn't get that hot no matter how strong the sun shines. My foot did get a bit burnt once when I walked on a beach that didn't have white sand :p. I've never been pinched by a crab though..
