The only thing i do on Facebook anymore is look at pictures, and read people's status, i haven't uploaded pics in a while, i update my status like once or twice a week if that, and look at recently joined groups. I have found facebook very boring lately, am i the only one? i still see people on my friend list that are on there everyday, posting something or another, and i lost a lot of interest in it. Everyone wants their privacy, but yet everyone post all their business on their facebook, whats up with that? lol

I don't play the games. I don't understand what's so cool about mafia wars which a lot of people I respect play (which surprises me). I'm not into farmville either. I mostly use facebook to check on friends and keep them updated. I love the fact that facebook has brought so many people back into my life who I thought were gone forever.

I'm not into the games either, i've never played either one of them, neither interest me, but a lot people i know as well are playing them, there are some people on my facebook that sets their status as 'send me a gift on farmville' lol but i pretty much use FB for the same reason, catching up with old friends and new ones, thats about it.

I like my privacy but I am a very open person. I dont mind if everyone on my friends list sees whats up with me. I just dont like strangers to see my info so everything is private and only the people on my friends list can view my photos or status updates or anything. I LOVE facebook I go on for hours everyday. I chat and I comment on tons of peoples status updates. I love how it keeps me connected to everyone even if I dont see them very often. I love to see peoples pictures when they put them up. I do the social interview but other then that I dont do any other apps. I amnot interested in playing games.

Everything has its dimishing returns and facebook is no exception. I sometimes wonder why one should go there at all. I was forced by so many of my friends and finally I registered there but I have not posted anything there. One has to hide ones identity there to strangers and when it comes to known people we have our email system, mail forward system, bulk mail system, chat sites!!Youtube takes care of videos and so whats so special about facebooki, twitter and so on.

To be honest i can't remember the last time i posted something on my status yet i still go on facebook everyday. Like you mentioned, i use to share photos and talk to my friends. I often write on my friends walls and use the chat feature, which i think everyone will agree is not the best thing n the world :) but i still love facebook

Personally I hate the applications, except Catbook, which that I rarely even use. I think it is pretty much being used for checking friends statuses. Leaving messages in inboxes. It is basically email oriented now. That's my opinion.

One of my favorite things to do is play games. I also post my status and comment on the status of my friends too.

I've only been a member of Facebook for a few months now, and to me there doesn't seem like a whole lot to do. I get on there, read people's status too, make a few comments on them, check my farms, on farmville and farmtown, and thats about it. Sometimes some of friends are online, and I may chat with them a little bit, but thats all. I hear ya, why do you want to keep your privacy, but at the same time your telling everybody what your doing everyday?

There are a lot of people I met here that are on FB and we have a blast. I love seeing what my friends are up to and playing with them, feeling for them when life sucks, and getting support when I need it. You can say things there that you can't here, play in a way you can't here...

I agree with you FallenGurl, I have also become really bored with facebook. I don't play any of the games but almost all of my friends do, so I have to wade through pages of "high scores" and stuff before I see anything else. I guess I prefer a bit more interactive dialogue than I get from facebook, I don't know what else it can be.

Hey FallenGurl! Nice question! I have noticeed that aa lot. I don't go on Facebook a lot anymore. It used to be like Facebook = more and mylot = less, but know it is like Facebook = less and mylot = more. I guess maybe it's just me thinking that Facebook isn't as interesting because I've gotten so addicted to mylot....

I hear you, I`ve gotten so tired of my dependency on Facebook.... To the extent that, when I had my baby, it didn`t seem real somehow until I announced it on Facebook! We are the generation of distractions.... Still, it`s sometimes my only way of keeping up with people, and it helps you feel more connected, even when you aren`t. Everything in moderation, is all.

Before six months i just stop go through this site after some days my friend mail me to join farmville on facebook and i like that application to play game in free time so now i use facebook only at free time to play games and to be in touch with friends.

Well personally I am on facebook all the time it is also a place to promote your business for free and make new friends, they also have applications you can do to kick back and relax when your not doing your online work.I have gotten more business from facebook than anywhere else that is why people post there business, kinda like here everyone posts there business and promotes them why wouldn't facebook..Facebook has alot to offer if you just take the time and really check it out.

Not only can you promote businesses for free or specialized groups that may be in your area like reading groups, comedy troops, etc. But, there are quite a few games that you can play through facebook. Some you play with your friends others you can play alone. You can play Uno, Happy Pets, Yoville, Farmville. If you do a search you can see the many different game applications that are available. So not just looking at profiles and pictures, you can go a little further and have a little more fun.

I have not updated my facebook, including all of my games, a long long time ago. I really got bored of it and annoyed at the same time. It was sort of a waste of time for me especially when I learned about MyLot because it made me realize that there are more enjoyable places in the internet which rewards members for having fun and socializing. I used to spend most of my day on facebook but glad I found out that there are tons of sites which I can visit and earn at the same time. facebook has earned a lot from its members yet members dont even get a portion of their income and that's what made me lose enthusiasm on it..I am happy with my mylot that I dont even think of my fashion wars, restaurant city or pet society anymore. :D

There's always FarmVille or cafe world to peak your interest. Most of the people on my friends list play Mafia Wars constantly, I've even seen people get up to level 200+ (seriously? O.o wow!) If that doesn't spike your interest, there are always quizzes to take on facebook as well. Most aren't really that good, but check the ratings and scope around to find the really good ones. You can always play solitaire on your computer if you get really bored...or read a book. That works too.

well for me facebook is just a simple way to gather friends and have fun playing.... even if you want some privacy once you sign up on a web profile it mean you're opening yourself to let other people know you and be on your good or bad side...
