Do you own a lot of dresses? (Or dress-clothes)?

I recently found myself buying this super cute formal dress, despite the fact that I have absolutely NO WHERE to wear it to! I don't go out to bars (as I'm not 21), I don't go to social dinner parties or many parties in general..And I literally have almost NO need to wear a dress. (But it was so cute.. and on sale..And fit extremely well! I couldn't resist).
Anyway, buying this dress and realizing I have no where to wear it to got me curious. How many black-tie events do YOU go to? And about how many dresses do you own? (Or tuxes..Or whatever men wear to dress up lol)?

Not very many that fit. I'm still under delusions that i'll lose enough weight to fit into my old stuff.

I don't really have that many formal dresses, cause just like you, I don't really have anywhere to wear it to. Hehehe. though I have a lot of casual dresses, like everyday dress, and specially beach dresses, cause I love going to the beach.

I don't own any dress-type clothing. I used to, but when you're a kid you don't really get much of a choice. When I was young I hated to dress up in dresses or dress-cloths. In fact I totally despised it with my entire being. My parents had to literally force me into doing it. We had a lot of formal events off and on where they were required. I think the one and only time I willingly put on a dress was for my high school graduation. Not long after moving out on my own I got rid of all my dresses (except my graduation one) which seems to be missing.
I no longer attend formal events, and if I ever did, I'd find something modist but professional-looking. No dresses.

not at all... i don't own lots of dresses as i don't go out to parties a lot as well... i am more like a home person and prefer to stay at home more than going out to parties or hanging out with friends... i always have problem of what to wear when i have to go to parties as i really don't have many dresses and just ended up wearing the same dress each time... take care and have a nice day...

^^ Most girls like shopping, so am I.
I like buying clothes when I find they suit me. But sadly, so far I haven't get a FORMAL dress.
I think it's mainly because that I stay in campus, and there're no such a situation that I need to dress formally.
But, still, I hope I can find one that fits me. It'll be fun having it(them).

I collect vintage dresses from the 70's 80's or early 90's and i usually get them from the thrift shops here in the Philippines. I have over 500 pieces.. I modify some of them so it would fit perfectly on me. I can't resist buying specially if they are on super sale. I plan to dispose them as well by selling them online. The dress i am wearing on my avatar is just one of those dresses i collect. =)

I have a lot of dresses, whether with sleeves or not. You see, I like going to work wearing dresses. It makes me feel so feminine. I also take advantage of the fact that I am tall and can carry the whole "little black dress" ensemble. I buy dresses for work and for other formal occasions.

As for me, I'm not used to buy new clothes or dress even though I sometimes attend parties with my friends or family party. I'll just buy new dress or clothes if I really need it but if possible I just recycled my clothes. My clothes are not too many. Most of my clothes and dress were gift from my family and friends. Maybe, out of 10, I bought only 2 clothes and of course the one that is cheapest among all. I really don't like to keep on spending money just for clothes. I rather buy so many foods that buying new clothes or accessories. I really think it very hard before I buy it because I don't want to regret it afterward.

haha, i always have the similar occasion as you. Once i saw sth cute and on sale, i would buy impulsively, even though i do have no opportunity to wear it. It seems to be waisting money, but i still remember I was quite happy and excited during my shopping. Maybe, true it is, woman sometimes are created to be cracy.
