Hi Mylotters!! Green tea is good for health. Previously,I used to be a coffee addict but now I am replacing it with green tea. I take it once a day.It keeps away sleep,so I often prefer taking it while I am on work.It has many medicinal values..Yesterday I read something about it in a medical journal.I would like to share it with you....The synopsis of the article goes like this: Green tea has been used as a medicine in China for at least 4,000 years. Today, scientific research in both Asia and the west is providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea. It reduced the risk of esophageal cancer in men and women by nearly sixty percent. University of Purdue researchers recently concluded that a compound in green tea inhibits the growth of cancer cells. There is also research indicating that drinking green tea lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol. Apart from it, Green tea can even help prevent tooth decay..... But the only harmful effect of Green tea is it can cause Insomnia,as it contains caffeine.. So it should be taken in small quantity regularly. What do you think??? Do you like taking tea??

Yes i love hot or cold teas and/or coffee. When i have green tea in my frig i sweeten it with honey. Better than stuff in bottles and cans. If you have it cold in frig and you feel like hot all ya gotta do is zap it in the microwave.

I absolutely LOVE green tea and all the great health aspects of it! Personally, I also drink the Herbal tea from Herbalife. I have been drinking it for years since I became an herbalife distributor. I love the energy that it gives me and just the overall well being. It also promotes healthy weight loss. I always drink this before my work out. It is very beneficial!

Green tea is the rage. Look at the array of drinks available in the convenience stores and you'll see plenty of Green Tea infusions. I personally do like Green Tea hot. Haven't tried any of the marketed concoctions yet, preferring the pure brew-it-yourself stuff. My first taste of Green Tea stands out in my mind because my mother warned me that many people thought hot Greet Tea tasted like dirt. My first impression - it tasted GREEN. Have you ever noticed certain foods tasting like a color? I don't like Green Peppers because they taste DARK Green which I don't like. Green tea is a LIGHT Green taste and I like it. Go figure!

I love drinking green tea. It is a power antioxidant and is linked as a great helper to cure acne. I like to taste of green tea even though it does not have a lot of taste, but is still tasty though. People who substitute Coffee with Green Tea are a lot better off and will understand why when they start drinking it. I drink green tea and other teas all the time and I didn't know it had caffeine, but I will continue to keep drinking because it's a lot healthier than drinking coffee or soda.

I love green tea and it is real good for the body. It is great to drink during the day, then toward evening, I try to switch to a caffeine free tea so I can sleep at night. That might help you too. Thanks for the topic, it is a great one. Have a good day!

Hello tuyakiki! Green tea is really good for the health. This is probably the reason why many companies are now into selling this drink. Green tea now, is packaged in many different ways. It is important for us to know the different benefits of green tea. It is nice that you shared some of them. Allow me to share some on my list. One benefit is that it helps reduce the risk of heart diseases and heart attacks by reducing the risk of thrombosis. Another is that it is being used by some to treat rheumatoid arthritis and cardiovascular diseases. I do drink green tea as regularly as I can.

I think normal green tea is quite bitter and Im not so keen on it but I have had some flavoured kinds which were nicer. I cant remember then exactly. They are from the Twinnings brand. I think one was orange and lotus flower. Green tea does have a lot of good health benefits so I am going to try and drink it more often. I prefer fruit and herbal teas however.

I love to drink any kind of tea, but especially green tea. When mixed with some spices it gets a wonderful taste. It's true it is a very healthy drink, more healthy than coffee or artificial juices, but green tea must be drunk in the first part of the day not to cause insomnia. There are many types of green tea on the market, depending on the country, so one can choose a favorite green tea.

hi there I like green tea. I like the freshly brewed green tea after every meal. I usually drink 2-3 cups a day. I have read that green is has less or has very little caffeine content than other kind of tea such as black tea, thus, it cannot cause insomnia in moderate amount. Green tea has really a lot of health benefits and a very good source of antioxidant. Happy tea day...

I love green tea. I brew a tall cup and pour it over ice and sip it all day. I don't add any sugar or flavorings. I like to drink it straight. I drink it all day long while I'm at work, instead of the nasty (but free) coffee. I've noticed that since drinking green tea, I've lost about 40 poounds. I don't think there's any proof in the relationship to drinking green tea and weight loss, but I think if you drink that rather than soda or coffee with cream and sugar, you definitely cut calories. I don't ever drink green tea that's bottled, as it contains preservatives and flavorings.

Hey friend! 2/3 days ago I started a discussion "How do you like to take your tea?" But unfortunately, after receiving 5 responses I surprisingly discovered that the whole discussion was completely deleted and a message was displayed saying: "The discussion has been deleted due to violation of user terms." I would like to taste all kinds of tea that are available allover the world. Tea has been liked by people for more than 5 thousand years. It has numberless medicinal qualities. But taking tea too much is harmful for the body. I also like to take green tea regularly but can't for it's dearer price in our country. Good luck!

Hi Tuyakiki, I agree 1000% with your assessment on the wonderful benefits of green tea. Truly, I feel that it is a nectar of the gods. Like it hot, cold, iced, with honey, mint julep, sweetened or unsweetened, even with added ginseng. It is available in a decaffeinated form, as well. I tend to think that the healthy aspects of this drink outweigh any negative elements. Cheers! --dj.
