How often do you use credit card for shopping?

Shopping is fun (online shopping is even more fun ). Well, I usually carry some cash with me when shopping and always use cash when shopping. But since my hubby got a credit card (and I got one, too), we now don't always use cash for paying. We use the credit card instead. But of course I told my hubby not to use it often (once every week or two) since I'm afraid the bills would be higher than we expected because somehow we could get carried away when shopping with credit card. So I always keep the receipt when shopping with credit card and stick it to my notes so we can control our bills. What about you? Do you use credit card when shopping? And how often do you use your credit card? You can share here. Thanks.

Actually, I use credit card to shopping all the time. First we can have refund everytime when we shoppin use my credit card, even so refund is not so big, but better litter than nothing, right? Sencond, I have to bring cask away with me, I kind worried kind when people ask me to give him money I just give it, because I didn't have so much, and I kind hate have coins, when you use cash, you must have more and more coins after every time cash out, I just hate to found place to put my coin. So I just love to use my credit card when I was shopping!
I think you just need to check you credit card account to make sure they didn't add something you didn't buy!

I used to use my credit card for big purchases like electronics and appliances. There was a time I used it to buy books. But now I'm cutting on my credit card expenses, so right now, my credit card is used to pay for my insurance and is also reserved for emergencies only.

I don't own a credit card but have been getting some pressure to buy some. I like the idea that with different cards, you earn different points toward air miles or maybe home depot. These points would be really helpful, and you can't get them with just carrying cash around. I also think that cash has it's advantages, because personally I feel less inclined to hand over physical paper money for something that isn't a necessity. However I got a gift certificate for American Apparel last year on my birthday and have been unable to spend it because I don't own a credit card and you can only use the gift certificate online. How unfortunate!

I use my credit card during big shopping purchases which is not that often. I make it a point to control myself when it comes to using credit cards because I might have preposterous bills which I could not afford to pay. Sometimes when I want to buy shoes or clothes I do charge it and also I recently bought a laptop which is monthly installment but 0% interest so I did use my credit card.

i use my credit card to make purchases whenever i can... in fact, i hardly keep any cash in my wallet... i just find it more convenient and easier to use credit card... i got extra time to pay it back and i earn points as well which i can convert it into cash to pay some of my credit card bills... so it works well for me... i always make sure that i pay the full amount before the due date every month and i don't make any unnecessary purchases... i am very strict in using my credit card and i always keep all the receipts for my records... take care and have a nice day...

i find credit cards are a dangerous way to shop because you can get carried away while shopping. hubby and i never use credit, we only deal with cash. this way, if you want something, you have to save for it. also, i think you appreciate things more by doing this.

Never. I always use my debit card for purchases whenever I can. I don't like to use credit cards because it's easy to get out of hand and the interest rates make what you bought way more than it's worth.

Well, it is my wife who does the shopping. But I do use my credit card on purchases. I conduct training programs and most of the materials are from abroad. So in most cases, at least thrice a month, I order my materials from the United States and pay for them using my credit card.

I used to have a credit card before but i decided to cut my credit card line.. why? because i can't stop myself from buying not-so-important things... i remember the days when i used to raid signature stores like armani exchange, dorothy perkins, esprit, lacoste, topshop, etc. i would always use my credit card to buy designer bags and clothes.. but then, i realized that buying expensive things are not really practical at all most especially if you have other responsibilities and obligations like paying the electricity and internet bills, buying medicines for maintenance, etc... now, i'm using cash to pay my shopping expenses..

I never use my credit card for shopping, in fact, i never use my credit card at all, only for administratives papers or something like that. When i buy something, i always pay with cash or check or virtual money like Paypal and Moneybookers (my two favorites ^^).

I have a pre-paid card and a credit card. I got my credit card for free for one year because I was so good at school and I've kept it ever since. It only costs 17 euros a year and that's a small price to pay. I only use my credit card to buy something online. I couldn't order anything before I had this credit card. I could only shop in my country, but I couldn't order anything from the UK or USA. I really like having the credit card because it allows me to buy so many things. However, I don't spend much with it. I have a paypal account and I pay everything with it. I have only a small amount of money on my account so I can't spend much with the credit card. If I know I'm going to use it, I put some money on my account. But it's very easy to spend big money with a credit card because you can get carried away and spend way more money than you have in you account. I try not to do that and I only order things online once a month or so. I can control all my expenses on the internet. I don't use the credit card in non-online shops, because I don't think they are safe enough, since they only need your signature to complete the payment. I use pre-paid cards instead. I also use my pre-paid card because I can't spend more than I have on my account.

I have a pre-paid credit card, so I can't spend more money than I actually have. I use the card for everything possible, since it gives me Air Miles. If I want to buy something, I load the card with the amount of money that I want to spend, and then I buy what I want. The next time I want to use the card, I re-load it.

I refrain from using credit cards as once mine was stolen and heavily misused - and tho' I informed the company immediately about the stolen card and they said they would block it, that did not happen and only when I got the statement I realised this, and then it took a lot of time arguing and proving to them that I had informed & instructed them to block, and in disgust I just stopped using the credit cards; and no longer have any credit cards & neither do I respond to the gimmicks they try to enrol new subscriptions; but I do carry debit cards but that too when I have to shop, small amounts I always pay cash and I find debit cards are safer as you have to enter the PIN

I used to use my credit card when shopping for school clothes for my children. You know how it is when you're in high school. You want to fit in and you have to have name brand clothes like everyone else. It can be quite expensive. Now three of my four children are grown and out of the house so, I only use my credit cards for vacations and emergencies.
