Do You make list before going to the supermarket?

i don't really have a list for grocery shopping. i enjoy grocery shopping and tend to do it at least twice a week. usually it's to get fresh ingredients for dinner on the same day. so it doesn't really matter if i forget something. as i will be getting something from the supermarket again very soon. also, i will be walking through every single aisle. even if i forget something, the sight of it probably will remind me of it.

Hello cloud31, it is usually I do same attitude like you, that is to list out things I need for a month. But, sometimes due to very busy, I didn't make a list, and as you predict that some items was forgotten to be purchased. Anyway, happy mylotting! God Bless... Best wishes,

Well, my friend. You'll be surprised to hear that I don't make any list before going to shopping. Because, I've got a great memory that can store a lot of things at a time. Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha...

Yez I do list and organize things to buy. But sometimes I'm just too lazy for the listings and just list it at my mind. I don't buy monthly supplies thou. Only weekly for me=

I have a budget and I try not to cross that budget when it comes to shopping. I do shop every week and other days it may be one or two item. I make list but sometimes I forget to take it with me. Still, I manage to remember the things in my list.

I make a list when I have lot of things to buy. I live in a hostel and the hostel provides me with the food. I need to pay a general fee every month for food and staying there. As grocery is out of my list, I have very little things like a little snacks, cosmetics, sanitary pads, etc. are there to buy from supermarket. No need to make a list for them.

If i was going to buy my weekly or monthly supply, then i will prefer to make a long list of the items that i am going to buy. I am trying to make sure that i don't left out any item. Because it's quite difficult for me to go out in hurry, just to get one item that's left out. Now, my nearby grocery shop is not operating anymore, so it's not any easy task for me to obtain my household item. I need to travel very far, just for any household item. I think it's a wise move to make a list before we go to the supermarket to buy our household items.

Hi Cloud, Yes, I always make a list when I go to the supermarket. I buy groceries every weekend (Saturday or Sunday) and I make a list on the night before going there. It makes buying things easier and takes less time coz you already have an idea where to go, what to get and how much to spend.

We have a weekly stock of groceries. When I'm the one going to the supermarket, I make a list first of what I need to buy, too. If I'm on a tight budget, I write down the most important first to the least needed and make sure to purchase the important ones.

This is one of the most important things I learned from my mother. To make a list of the things that you're gonna buy in the supermarket. I find it very convenient because I can save more time and money. =)

I have never listed what I need to buy before I go to supermarket.I often forget what I need and buy something what I do not need.And I need to go shopping several times per month.I think you have a good habit.

I did in the past, but anytime I did I forgot to look at it when I was at the supermarket so I gave up o it I only make a list in my mind....that works way better then a written list for me

I sometimes make a list an sometimes I do not have. I do not have a list since I only buy few goods, the one that we only needed for a month. But during Christmas season, the grocery is always planned. We have a list of goods to be stock. No I don't. Because I seldom go to a supermarket. I live alone so there's nothing much that I use everyday. For example, I will not finish my shampoo at the same time I finish my dishwasher, so I have to go out and buy them at different time also. I don't need to make a list when going to the supermarket because I won't be buying a lot of things. I will just walk down all the alley and grab whatever I need or feel like buying.

There was a fairly long period of time in my life that I didn't make a list when going shopping, but all of that changed in September of last year when my husband and I were able to admit that we had a problem with debt and we decided to enroll in a debt management program. This meant that we had to budget quite heavily. This was the time that I started making a list every time that I went shopping. yes i make sure to have a list of everything i want to buy to make sure i did not forget anything and of course to make sure everything is still within the budget. i did not bring a lot of money to supermarket to avoid myself being tempted of buying other things.

I always shop with a list, but somehow hubby and I still end up coming home with stuff that wasn't on it. LOL
