While growing up and living at home with mom and dad and three older brothers, I watched so much happen. I wanted to be a lawyer, run for Congress and maybe some day be the President of the United States. I wanted everything, even as much to save the world and get rich doing it. Well, during and after high school and more so after college, I decided that just living comfortably or a bit higher was more than enough. Why? Because I have seen too many people who would be considered rich by today's standards were not all that happy. So, I want to be able to provide for my wife and family and not be miserable doing by swimming in money. Granted, we would all like all of the money in the world, but remember this, if you believe in God and You know that you are going to Heaven, then forget about being rich. You cannot take what you have with you.
What are your desires in life?

I choose to live comfortably, of course. To live this way means having enoough
of everything but not to much..We all have things that we like and things that
we want to achieve.. There are things that we want to do that just couldn't be..
I realized that people by nature wants to got to the top but I realized that you
could go there.. You could go to the top and live comfortably by reaching your
goals without cheating and just doing your job well, having enough time for your
family and make them feel that they are important. I think that is a very good balance to all of it.

Yes I want to be Rich,
But I won't sacrifice my comfort for that.
If I have to make a choice, I'll go for comfortable life than anything.

I do not believe that it is a problem being rich. What would be nice is this: for us to be able to truly define rich and then see how being comfortable and rich fit together.
Thanks for the response.

I know a few who has lost the peace in their mind, No time to spend with family.
I won't make that mistake for becoming rich,
But We cannot achieve anything without spending time and hard work.

I would be happy just living comfortably. I don't nee to be rich or filthy rich. Like you said you can't take it with you so you just end up leaving everything on earth. You leave like you come in to the world with nothing. So just being happy with food on the table, bills paid and a job that you love is all I would ever want in life. I don't need alot to make me happy at all.

I just wanted to live a comfortable life. People actually have that mind set that once they are rich then they can be happy already. Though having money is a necessity, money doesnt have all the answer for a person to be happy. Living a comfortable life would be better for me. I just think filthy rich people have so many worries because they will have to think on their safety.

Yes, having money is a necessity. We have to be careful not to abuse it. The more that we strive for money, the less happier we are because it can be extremely stressful when we have to work so hard to get it. Is it worth it? No. We have to just make sure that we do not get into so much debt that we cannot save ourselves from a sinking ship.
Thanks for your response.

How can you live comfortably if you do not have money. We cannot separate money in our lives. Though we have this mind set that it is evil. But the truth is, it is not. Money makes us comfortable and secure. So I guess both will do.

Not a bad way of putting it. What we have to do is this: understand that money in its material form is not evil. It is the love for money. That is why a person like Bernie Madoff is in prison. He had a love for money and this did him in.
Thanks for your response.

i never want to be a filthy rich person... sufficient and enough is more than enough for me... i want to live a happy and comfortable life and i will be very contented with that... as long as i can fulfill all my basic needs and have a bit of holiday and entertainment every now and then, i am happy... take care and have a nice day...

I want to be at peace with the world and the people in it. I live comfortably and I like it that way. I don't think I would be the same person if I were filthy rich. I am happy with all the things that I have, and wouldn't ask for more.

I think anyone who can live comfortably with the money they have coming in should be very grateful. As long as you have enough to eat, keep roof over head etc that is all you need. Obviously a little bit extra for small treats is good as well. At the moment I am not working but I live at home and dont have any debts as such. When I do find work as long as I have enough to live comfortably and save a little that will do me. I understand that there are others who need more money if they have bills, children etc but a slong as they have enough for that there is no need to be filthy rich.

My desire is to have enough money so that I could live comfortably within my means, not having to worry about where the money will come to pay the next bill and having some surplus money to spend on an occasional frivolity. This for me doesn’t mean that I want to be filthy rich, but having enough money to not have to work would be nice, enough that managed properly would make my life a comfortable experience.

Before narrating whether I want to be Rich or live a comfortable life I want to say some important facts. My Dad and my elder brother are both professors and they find it difficult to maintain a proper lifestyle at present.Every now and then they complain about the state of the economy of our country and curse themselves for being educated which is preventing them from earning what they are capable of.I have a friend whose Dad is semi qualified and believe me he is earning a hell lot of money much more than my dad and brother combined. However,I narrated this story only to prove a point that in todays world you need to be rich in order to be able to lead a comfortable life otherwise your life won't be comfortable. So I want to be comfortably rich.
