If you won the lottery, who would you tell?

Hi! If i win the lottery I will tell all the people I know- to my family, my friends, my colleagues at the university. I will be so happy, because I really need money now for my education and will be very happy if I win the lottery

If I won the lottery, the state would be happy to tell everyone that I had won it. Usually they do a big press conference showing the winner and their family. But until the point of claiming it, I would keep it very quite. Otherwise you would have every charity case in the world at your door wanting a piece of it.

I think I will get the money first and be put it on the bank before telling someone. If I had done it I will share it to my sister and my mother. I will tell the details. Its hard to tell it to my father, because when he is drunk he can talk about it and can share it on other people. I can’t keep it to myself I know, I can’t keep the happiness inside. Of course I will have the plans and I will allocate the money. Actually now I know where I will use the money, I will use it to my business. My business will start to operate in a near time. I will use it there and the rest for house renovation and for my brothers tuition fee. I will donate to cancer patient, those children with cancer and the rest will be kept in the bank.

I would not shout it out loud to every one! lol Things would get pretty crazy and I don't want a bunch of people coming at me for crap lol My family would definitely know if I won the lottery! Depending on how much I won (and I'm guessing it'd be a lot lol) I would probably give my parents some money, help my sister pay off college...I'd give my grandmother some money to help pay bills...everyone in my family would probably get a little something.

First off I would thank god then I will share it with my parents,friends.I will never be proud of it and of course share it.I will not keep it a secret that I may use it alone sharing is fun.we should share our happiness because everytime we share sadness it decreases and everytime we share happiness it increases so,it is better option to share.there are some people who shout their winnings they are losers really.we should never be proud that we becomes the owner we should share and make others owner because it a better option.

I once thought that I would yell it to the world, but recently I had a serious discussion with someone about this, and have decided that I would make 2 calls. One to a friend, who is a financial advisor and one to my attorney. After that I would call certain members of my family, and maybe sometime later, after I had been advised, there are some friends, who I know could be trusted, who I wouldn't be able to keep it from. With the way that my big mouth has been working, of late, it would be a very difficult thing for ME to keep it under wraps for any amount of time, but I do think that is the best thing to do.

Based on the fact that there are a lot of people that come out of the woodwork looking for money out of a person after they won the lottery, I actually wouldn't share the news with very many people at all. Of course I would tell my parents and I would also tell my in-laws. In addition to that, the news would be shared with both my siblings and with my husband's siblings. Other than that, I think the only other person that we would tell would be my best friend because she and I don't keep secrets from each other.

I would only tell my parents if I won the lottery.

I will only tell my immediately family and just treat friends to a few good times.

If I win a lottery, definitely I would stop working in a certain company. But I can still continue that kind of job for having my own company. It is like a celebrity, if continue to work in your job; there is possibility that people at work will keep on trying to reach you.

Hi joaomacp, If I win a lottery, I would definitely not shout load and tell everybody. But I would definitely like it to share it with some people, who would be as happy as me knowing this. I believe happiness is a thing to be shared among the people you love, care and trust. I also believe that it is not specifically necessary to tell them to keep anything secret as you have not done any crime or harm to anybody.

I'd probably just want to tell my husband and kids. I wouldn't want anyone else to know, though the media might blow our cover and blab and then they'd find out anyway. LOL Happy mylotting!

i'd probably tell my brother and that's about it. the more people that know,the more you get hardluck cases showing up.if not robbed. most big lottery winners are plagued by people once they find out.

depends on how much it was. I would tell my mom, brother and aunt if it was a lot of money. I would give them a cut of it. Buy myself a bigger house with more land and have a built in swimming pool since its so hot here. Put some away for my kids college. Give some to my family members who really need it and have been around. I am sure there will be people who I haven't seen or talked to in year trying to get a cut but I don't think so.

I would just tell my family and my close friends. It would be pretty hard not to. All of a sudden I'm buying a bunch of nice new clothes, big-screen tv maybe, etc. Plus, I'd just have to brag to someone. The excitement would kill me if I didn't let it out. Maybe I would explode ;)

I'd tell my WIFE, Mom & Mother-n-Law of course! WHY? B/c these people have been there for my family and I from DAY 1! First an foremost thougfh, I'd take-out for My TITHE to GOD for making this ALL Possible! And naturally, I'd share some of the money with all my siblings and the needy.
