To all Filipinos you should be aware of this food which contributes to a high dose of calories!
1. French Fries - Yeah like fries? Guess what this is the number one cause of heart diseases.
2. Ice Cream - Its hot I like to eat lots of ice cream, Oh my I got fat.
3. Doughnuts! - I love those sugar filled, cream bursting, mouth watering doughnuts + with a hot choco. Sweet!
4. Burgers - I'm on a diet I think I'll just eat burger in every meal time. (This is so wrong)
5. Iced Tea - I will pair my food with ice tea. I don't believe it can harm my kidney? could it?
6. Instant Noodles/Canton - Oh I really like eating every morning, snack, afternoon and dinner.
7. Sweetened Pork - I so like sweets why not get the pork sweeten.
Now you know. Try to limit consumption!

Very true, because this has no significant value for our health. I have been aware of these ever since I joined a wellness industry. These foods can really harm our body and it can lead to multiple disease. Here is what I can say to the enumerated items you have posted and why even doctors tells us the reasons why..
1. French fries- its not the potato, it is because of the oil that was used in here. Specially we do know that fries have been included with or without MSG, frozen or have been stacked for many days. If you cook your own fries, you will know that the oil you use wasn't recycled. But, frying and oil isn't good for people who suffers high BP and Heart problems even for Diabetic person.
2. Ice cream - COLD, not good for your SPLEEN. Enemy of Diabetic people.
3. Doughnuts- With confectionery sugar and all, it is not healthy and safe. Bad also for Diabetic people.
4. Burgers- Junk food.. you know what is in here. I have nothing against Mcdonalds and other companies.. it is your choice.
5. Iced Tea - can solidify your food intake and will never ever convert it to energy. Avoid cold drinks during meals. Your SPLEEN really hates cold.
6. Instant Noodles- it is somewhat coated with wax which is not good for the stomach. But there are varieties of noodles, those such as bean or rice threads are better.
7. Sweetened Pork - we just don't eat pork. But to others who like cholesterol and fat, it's still your choice. Besides you only have one life to live.

Hi strawberry!
Thank you for supporting. This junk foods are so tasty. I'm not saying you don't eat them ever but within your limits only. I appreciate your information about MSG. This is the one cause of heart disease that is why french fries are rank no.1 even in US.

I don't eat the last three on the list, but i love the first four. I enjoy them in moderation with a healthy diet. I eat a lot of nutricious things (when I was out today and needed to eat something I chose a healthy meal in a healthy restaurant instead of fast food), but I do enjoy ice cream, burgers, fries and donuts in moderation. Everyone needs a treat sometimes.

Oh my Goodness! I am not healthy then, I eat all the foods in the list, and some of them are my favorites! Like a while ago, I snacked on hot fudge sundae paired with fries. I am aware that these foods are unhealthy and fattening, but I eat them once in a while as long as I eat fruits and vegetables. Also, having a regular exercise and check-ups will help. It depends on a person's discipline how he could get healthy. But I agree eating less of these "worst foods" will be beneficial to our health. Thanks for sharing this information! :)

Well it doesn't take a genious to figure these out. Except for iced tea- what's wrong with it? I love iced tea it's so refreshing.
Of course if you eat things that are deep fried and full of sugar you're going to get fat and have all sorts of health problems.
I have been vegan for four months now (which means I don't eat ANY animal products- no meat, eggs, dairy etc). I feel so much healthier and have heaps more energy as my diet consists mainly of vegetables and fruit and nuts and beans. Anyone who puts the above mentioned crap in their mouths are just asking for trouble!

Hello Coffeeshot!
It is one of those sugar pack iced teas. Those commercially available ice tea. They are very high in sugar content and leaves a residue in the kidney because it has those colorings on it. It is very well known cause for kidney diseases. If you listen to your radio often I think its been mentioned Iced tea has so much chemicals on it such as oxalate which leads to kidney stone formation.

I am now eating healthy foods and avoid too much consumption of unhealthy stuff. Most of the time I cooked my own foods, I prefer brown rice because it is more nutritious, my favorite dish also is brocolli with asparagus sauted in garlic and onions using Canola Oil.
I seldom eat the above-mentioned food, the last time I eat Ice cream, French fries and burgers was last January this year. Noodles and Iced tea sometimes yes but not frequent. I am now abiding a no-pork policy hehehe.
My everyday meal is composed of fruits, fish, vegetables and rice. I drink Green Tea with honey because it is more healthy than coffee or softdrinks.

A doctor once told me that iced tea is unhealthy because it actually contains more sugar than carbonated drinks like Coke and Pepsi. It is widely known that softdrinks are bad for our health, but a lot of people actually think that iced tea is good for the body.

Hello shattered
It is broadcast on T.V. visayas and also in the radio am. Tea is good yes but not Iced Tea which packs with sugar. I'm not talking about regular teas. I meant commercially made Iced teas, to those who love to drink on it in summer! Tocino is one example of sweeten pork and yeah it is already high in calories, just limit intake. I didn't say stop eating them because we can't actually. haha

7 worst food declared by WHO are in the Philippines... and as they are in almost all other countries in the world. lol. ^_^
I seriously got shocked by your topic mate. I was thinking, wow! we Filipinos must really be unhealthy then. IMHO, it's unfair to put the Philippines in the topic name since it gives a wrong impression about our country that it has the seven worst food in world and nowhere else. Add to that that it was declared by no less than the revered WHO and you have an organization to back that up. the topic is misleading mate, especially if people wont read what's inside.
Just my two cents. I just don't want other people who are not from our lovely country to get the wrong impression about the Philippines.

I totally agree with you. These 7 worst foods are not only eaten by Filipinos, these are the kinds of food almost everyone in the whole world eat. Donut, ice cream, pork, etc..these are not food items which are only identifiable to us Filipinos. This means to say that the whole world is eating junk, not just us, Filipinos.

I agree! Its not just available here in the Philippines but in other countries too. Some of these food even originated from other countries. I think other countries also consume more french fries than how much we consume here. Speaking of noodles, other countries have it as their staple food. But anyway, it is still best to eat these food sparingly or not very often. It is always better to prevent than cure.

Hi Solonharmony!
That title was supposed to alert people especially Filipinos but you know it very well that those food isn't only available here in Philippines. Maybe the title got little to Philippine-centered. How would you restate it? I'm sorry this was only to warn us Filipinos of the food we eat.

Let us enjoy the food we all want to eat,but let us take it all in moderation. Take a little bit of everything.

That the sad things the foods that we crave so much because they are addicting are no good for ones health! These are all things that fall into being a "some time food" you have them on occasion but not daily. Trust me I think we'd all wish we could get skinny on french fries, hamburgers (try turkey burgers better for ya!), doughnuts, and ice cream! Unfortunatly the opposite is true.

Those foods are everywhere and are part of a change in habits we all countries have. They mostly came from the US though the great junk food chains. In my country, a generation ago, none of that was much eaten and people had slim bodies.
