I’ve discovered another new product that has made an impact in our home…Lysol Disinfecting Wipes. These things are wonderful, absolutely wonderful!! Their thick so they don’t fall apart, their good and moist…not drippy wet but not dried out…, they disinfect and kill germs and best of all…they work on everything. They clean up the dripped chili all over the kitchen from Hubby, they cleaned up the mold around a window, my stove and counters are nice and clean…even my bathroom gets a quick wipe down with them in between cleanings. These things are great…can you tell that I love them. Their also reasonably priced at under $2 at our local Dollar General. I’ll definitely start keeping them in stock in our home.
Have you ever tried them? Would you try them in your home? What new products have made an impact on your home?

I do not like to use chemicals so I use vinegar or hydrogen peroxide (mixed with water) and clean, old rags that I can wash. Both disinfect and peroxide is as strong as bleach but safer. I also am not adding to use of trees as I use old towels and tee shirts that would normally go into landfill, too.
They both do glass, and any other surface and leave no residue.

That is great to hear. I have to check those out because the Clorox ones that I have leave a lot to be desired.. they are thin and they dry out way to fast before you even get a job half finished.and you have to keep using more and more of them. Being named brand I expected more from them..but I probably get better with a damp cloth and with a little bit of bleach in some water...then I do with those Clorox wipes..I thought they would be great for small jobs you know like you already have the kitchen clean but go and make a light lunch or snack or something...and for the bathroom when you get unexpected company..go in and wipe things down real fast..before and after...but they seem to start drying as soon as they come out of the tube..but I will definitely give the Lysol brand a check out..thanks for the information...

I don't use the Lysol wipes. I use Clorox wipes. Same thing I'm assuming LOL I use them everywhere in my home and I also keep a can in my van to wipe sticky fingerprints off. I like how convenient they are, just pull one out and wipe.

I have used them in other people's homes. I have a lot of non scented, concentrated cleaning products that work very well, so I am not a big fan of the things you buy pre moistened and then throw away. I do like to keep them or some kind of a moistened wipe at my computer, because my cat drools on me and it feels gross. It also is a good way to disinfect the keyboard.

hi twoey68 the caregivers use them all the time cleaning in our bathroosm here and i used to use them too. I love the things. Also I discovered Purell a hand disinfectant and have used it a lot this winter and I have not a cold or the flu either. for me thats a must as I always get bronchitis with the flu and am dreadfully sick from it so avoiding it is just wonderful. Also I have found that my favorite Herbal Essence shampoo now comes in a shampoo and conditioner in one and works so well, its just like when I used the separate conditioner but its not quite as expensive either. Also it comes in the same herbal combos that i have always liked so much.

I love those. I use them for so many things, and dump them in the laundry and reuse them a few times, too. After washing them the first time, I sew a soft cotton backing and used them for cleaning the sink and floor and stuff. That way I can scrub without getting my hands scratched up and also fold them in half to use them as absorbent wipes.

Haven't used Lysol Disinfecting Wipes yet as far as I can remember. But new products at home which got new impact for us are Amway products. Glister toothpaste, body soap, toothbrush and lotion. Initially, it would be quite pricey because of the initial cash out needed but eventually you save more. For example with the lotion you would only need very little of it for the whole body plus what is so nice about it, it's organic. I'm satisfied with the new products at home.

I used to use these wipes at work when we started having to share our positions with another shift employee. I never saw the person but my area was always a mess and I had to literally clean my position up before I could even go to work. Those Lysol wipes came in very handy and atleast made me feel like the place was deep clean and tidy each day.

Hey twoey,
Well, I really like Mr. Clean wipes for all the same reasons. I don't know if you can get them at Dollar General but I get mine at Big Lots. I don't know if you have a Big Lots but you can also get them in the grocery stores. If you haven't tried them, pick one up for a comparison. I absolutely love, love, love them!! Do you think we sound like a commercial?

Yes, the are great! If you like those try the swiffer with the dry and wet clothes that you can buy cheap. The dry ones pick-up cat hair *Hint Hint* and also the hair left in the bathroom by husbands. *Gross* But, the wet one's mop the floor and quick too. But, what I like most is the swiffer is used with both and lite weight. You don't have to fight with it. No dust pans, plugs or batteries required. And, you can even take it apart and take it with you if need be. Also, you can use it for wet for outside windows that you can't reach. It works on car windows too! lol
*Peace and Love get's you through everything in Life*

We too have discovered this product for our household. It comes really in handy, specially having a couple of boys at home. They create a lot of mess. Not only in the food they eat, even the things they do. My little one is currently into painting. He would spread blobs of paint on his paper, and spread a few sprays on the table and on the floor. These wipes is great when it's all done.

I used the wipes when I had my great niece and nephew living with me for 6 months. They worked great with kids around. Since the kids have gone back with their mother, I don't use them anymore. In fact, I have a container of dried ones sitting on the sink...I should really throw them away. I don't know why I've kept them? I haven't found any new products that have made a big impact on my home. Maybe if I got one of those robot vacuum cleaners and it did my vacuuming for me, I'd have something to cheer about?? Twoey, you should submit your discussion to Lysol. Heck, maybe they'd let you do a commercial for them.

They sound really good. I wonder if they are available in Australia…Must check that out. I use Pinecleen wipes and they're quite good but a lot more expensive. My sister was telling me that half water and half white vinegar is a fantastic chemical free way to clean the shower especially the clear glass shower screens; she swears they come up beautifully. I haven’t tried it yet but I will when I run out of my usual shower spray.

I definitely love these for the bathroom in our house. I've yet to use them in the kitchen though because we have a flat top stove and I know that there are a lot of cleaning products that you aren't supposed to use on those. However, I know that for the bathroom and also for my daughter's school these have made a lot of difference in life. I didn't know that they were so reasonably priced at the Dollar General though, I guess I will be buying them there from now on.
