I could not understand myself sometimes. After work, I go straight in my bedroom and get dressed. After that, i lay down in my bed to have some sleep. But, when thoughts creep inside my mind about how lonely my life is, I felt crying. I feel so alone. My parents were both dead and i feel so alone at home. Sometimes, I loss my appetite to eat.
Are these one of the symptoms of depression? Do you think it will go away?
I hate this feeling.

Well,I can understand how you feel dear Friend!.You need good friends. Dont make you stay alone. And dont get those thoughts that you have one one with you. Go out with your friends and keep yourself occupied. Idol mind is devils workshop!. So keep yourself busy. Go out with your friends and eat, so you will enjoy your food and eat good. Every one in this world are born alone, so dont worry about any of your problems. Stay happy and always cheer up friend!!

Hi Tess... I trust you're going through it. I have experienced the same feelings of being 'lonely' for 2 years or more and I can understand what you're going through. I am really sorry that your parents are no more.
I believe, you have some friends. I have a suggestion. Go out with them after work.. just for a walk or something. Buy your favorite books. Shop a little! Shopping is always good for boosting the emotional state. On weekends, you can go to a nearby pub or club with your friends and have a little fun!!!
The key is, my dear, to be busy! Don't let your mind wander alone.. Keep it busy with something. Watch your favorite TV programs, read your favorite books, cook your food.. And hey, don't feel alone... I tell you, you're not alone...
Keep yourself and your mind busy with the things that you like... Good Luck!! Please keep us updated about how you feel... I am sure you'll feel better in a few days..

Yes, it sounds like depression. I have had depression and am on anti-depressants (and probably will be for the rest of my life). But still, issues in life tend to get me down. I read inspirational/self-help books, watch inspirational/self-help shows on television and the internet which in some cases tend to go in one ear and out the other. Most of the time I remember it but don't practice what I have learned.
Can I recommend a great book to you? This is a book I am currently reading and is so different than any other book I have read and it makes so much sense! It's called Living, Loving & Learning by Leo F. Buscaglia. The concept he talks about is really so simple. It was recommended to me by a woman in a women's therapy group. She reads it and refers to it over and over again. I have underlined passages, turned down page corners and put sticky notes on pages to refer back to. I have never done that with any book before. If money is an issue, check with your local library. It is worth the read and just may help bring some light to the darkness within you.
Good luck!

that's depression alright!! definitely! I think you should go out with friends...or better yet do something that would make you happy while killing the time...Don't think too much..think of happy thoughts...if all else fail-i think you should seek professional help-like counseling-promise! it will work...

I think you're still on the onset of depression but you can overcome that. Bring out your feelings, and try to think of the bright side of your life. Always pray especially if you're alone, do a little meditation and this will lighten up your mind.

Have you gone to a doctor for a diagnosis ? Live is full of many stressors and loneliness is only one of them. People who suffer from depression are extremely susceptible to another bout of depression because of these stressors. They find it extremely hard to cope.
It sounds like you do have the symptoms but to be sure you need to see a doctor for an accurate diagnosis.

This sounds very like the onset of depression hun, and I would strongly recommend that you seek the help of a counsellor. You need to talk to someone about your feelings and a professional can help you to feel better.

keep yourself busy by doing odd things, and if possible help others by doing small things for them.
