So i was wondering how you guys felt when you apply for a job and there is no response at all not even " Thank you but we the vacancy is taken."
It really agitates me when i apply for jobs and they would not even notify you if its taken or not or they are not interested.
Well, i have to say in my country they will never tell you if your good enough or if the vacancy is taken.
How about you guys? Is your country like this too?
Lets discuss! :)

where are you from? i experienced that too with my job hunting. the last time i applied for a job, it was about 2 weeks before i received a response from the company i applied for. during those 2 weeks, i already gave up hope and i was right, i didn't make it to their company. my advice to you is, if you're going on a job hunt, don't just settle for one company, send your resume to every company you can find and just go to interviews. by doing that, you'll have many options but be sure that you'll give everything you got to those interviews.

I think I am not hired and the employers not attracted my resume
or whatever. I have also experienced this way so sad to think
that no even a response or call for it what happened.
This is also happening in my place too. Usually work in our
country matters with whom you know and who are we in their heart.
Whoever you are if you have relatives in the office right away
you can be recommended whatever work than nothing to have.
Just don't stop applying until you will succeed. I know you
have a good future someday just wait and have confidence in yourself
it will be given soon.

Hi, friend. That's what is frequently happening in my country. As there is a large population here, college graduates take up a large percentage. Every year, millions of fresh graduates hunt for jobs. It is quite natural to get no response when you apply for a job. Having to deal with numerous resumes and interviews, companies can't manage to send a reply to every applicant. Usually, receiving no reply indicates their attitude. So we don't bother to ask for an answer.

Yes guys, It's true, I feel hurt if I'm fail to applying a job. one thing I overcome my rejection on how to be strong enough is to improve myself to getting better, to change values maybe but, this is the way you competent other applicant, if you change your value it's involve physical, mental and spiritual change. and the other hand read a book to teach you winning principle on how to achieve more winning in life, just like 2000 failure is not a failure it's a process to become a success, fix the roof will is sunshine, Noah build the ark while in not raining, peoples fail not their plan, but simple fail not to plan.

Yes in my country it is like that too. I think the companies don't want to waste too much time having to answer the applications from all the job seekers out there. So I just assume that all the employers won't reply to my applications and just move on and keep trying more. There are times where I do get a reply to my application from a company but its just a rejection letter.

In my opinion some simple standard response like "Thank You for Your application, but the vacancy is not available at the time" is not really time consuming thing to do for the corporation. However it makes me feel so much better.
Due to my personal experience, corporations that don't do that, are not the best in their business. Because perfect means perfect in all areas of external communications or PR =)

It has happened to me many times too. Many companies just don't want to take the hassle of telling people that they don't want them.
I would like to know if they don't want me, so I won't be waiting for a response, but usually if in a week I don't have any response I know that they won't contact me.

I always feel like I am not good enough for them. I had this experience last year when I applied for a job in a company and a government agency and they didnt respond to my application. I didnt lose hope but I knew that I was good so I still waited until there was one company who called me and hired me that I am going to work for them and that really made me happy.

I was applying for lots of jobs and didnt get any response, then there was this program about job seekers local to where I am, and it showed that with most companies there are so many people applying that they actually dont have enough staff to send responses to each person, the only time that I have ever had a response is from online application, obviously its a lot easier to draft a rejection email and send it than it is to print a letter and post it.

That's quite common here in China. As there are so many job hunters on the recruitment market, many employers have to go over large numbers of resumes everyday so they're likely to put your resume aside without even a look.Every job hunter should be fully prepared to face rejections and full of confidence and never give up. Only in this way can you find a satisfying job.
