Agua Bendita is a soap opera that was derived from a comics story in the 80's.The story started when Dr. Marcial Cristy's wife craved for holy water when she was still in her early months of pregnancy. She suffered from bleeding anytime she was not able to get the holy water. She specifically craved for stolen holy water. Then, Marcial was met a healing priest who was already dying. The ailing priest asked him to give the miraculous holy water to his niece who was suffering from epilepsy. However, Marcial gave the holy water to his wife. She eventually delivered to twin girls, Agua and Bendita. As soon as Agua came out, she transformed into a gelatinous being and she has a blue color. Bendita grew up to be normal person. However, she was mean and spoiled. Agua was pleasant, and she has miraculous power to heal. she was able to heal her mother from heart ailment.

For me i really love watching Agua Bendita, i watched it from the start. their ratings is higher than Panday Kids. Because the little girl who does the little agua and bendita was very cute but when Agua turn into Andi i didnt like it anymore because she dont really fits the role of Agua even though her acting as bendita is well done. I think much better is the little girl in the start is still the one who does right now just a little twist of the story.

Hi mimiang.. your post made me smile as i am sure you're also a solid kapamilya just like me =). I'm an avid follower of that soap and was initially hooked out of curiousity over Xyriel Anne Manabat who plays the role of both Agua and Bendita. Quite impressive!!! I think the choice of having Andi Eigenmann to play the older twins was also perfect. Just like " may Bukas Pa" this soap was also created to instill in people's mind, especially the children, to have faith in God. Keep on watching and happy mylotting!!!

My wife loves to watch this soap and I've heard it tops the ratings. I haven't been following the story as I work at night so I guess I'll just ask my wife for the gist of the story. My wife is a solid Kapamilya by the way.

hi mimiang,
I really love this soap opera. I admire the role of Andi Eigenman as Agua/ Bendita. This soap opera touches everyone's heart. It shows the importance of family. Further, it also teaches the viewers that you will find the true beauty inside the heart of the person and not in her/his physical appearance.
I hope that more viewers appreciate the beautiful story of Agua Bendita.

I'm not a tv person but I sometimes watch the soap. My favorite is the young Bendita, she's always mean and she's great in portraying her role. Weirdo!! Loser!!
In a pinoy sense simply, "ang taray"

compared to the other telenovelas on tv i do follow this one. i was just amazed with the characters and how much they affect one another. i like how the story goes and i love it when zoren was added to the cast. he is a crush of mine in the local biz though i don't like his character that much (hehehe). i character i love most in this story is Dr. Marcial Cristy. i just love the way John Estrada portray the character. everytime i see him, i can't help admire him of how much he loves his family expecially aqua despite the fact that aqua is different.

Hi there! I watch Agua Bendita too. It's a good movie. I think the kid version of Agua and Bendita is a really good actress. Although she is only one person, she can convey both of their roles perfectly. When watching it, you won't think that the actress playing Agua and Bendita are the same person. Am i right? :) Even though Xyriel (actress who plays the kid version of Agua and Bendita) is very young, she can really act very well. I was kind of disappointed with the acting of Andi Eigenman. Xyriel's version was really better, but Andi's english is better than Xyriel's. Both have their positives and negatives. :D

I also watch the teleserye. The thing I like with this is they are like a real family. There are fights that similar to the common family. Besides Agua and Bendita is hot. :)
