I really hate it when you go to the mall and there are sales people who are very pushy in selling their product and they would even follow you. I understand that they are just doing their job and they need to hit their quota but it just annoys me to death. What I do is just bluntly say that I am not interested. How about you? How do you deal with pushy sales people?

"No, thank you," usually works for me. And there had been times that I had to keep walking and feign hearing loss, and so far no one had tackled me to the ground and held me against my will. Another option will be pretending to be a panhandler.

just keep smiling. Smile will change everything. Would that work in that situation?? haha. Don't take their act personally, just say well mannered rejection. They just do their job. Spare them and keep smiling :)

i also get annoyed by pushy sales people... i usually just ignore them and keep on walking to get away from them... if they still keep on following me, then i will start to say something to them... and believe me... they wouldn't want to make me start opening my mouth to 'lecture' them... :-) take care and have a nice day...

Oh I know the feeling. I am strong with them and let them know flat out, to back off and will call on them if I need them. Of course don't have to be rude but I am forceful to get my point across.

I understand how you feel completely! I hate it any time that happens! When I say no to something I mean no! I guess they can not understand that! After so many times of that I just get annoyed and tell them to stop and go bug another person! I try to refrain from that but sometime I can not! Oh well at least I can let my opinion out here on Mylot! Happy Mylotting!

im very embarased when interupted by those pushy sales people while shopping, walking along the street. it is hard for me to stop them talking and rejected them. and i found that if i stopped and appeared to be very polite and gentle, i would never got a chance to get rid of them. so i just chose to ignore them or say sorry without slowing down my pace. i just dont want to waste my time on trying products or listening to others oversting some unknown products.

Oboy caliya I see them to, a special mobile sales men. Young peopel forced to sale. I also get them on my phones. I ingore the once who try to talk to me. It really irritate me when they disturb us walking to the mal for shopping. The once who cal me on the phone I politely ask not calling me again. If they still cal me I get nasty and do not ask, but demand never to bother me again. I say no, then I mean no and did not change my mind. I tell them, if I am interested I come to them not the other way around.

I am like yourself, pushy sales people really bug me. Yes they are only doing their job but I am sure it does not say anywhere in there job contract that they must annoy the heck out of customers to get a sale. A salesperson who takes there time and does not push and just gives you some space is far more likely to earn a sale from me than the pushy , bossy sales rep. Treat people the way you would like to be treated yourself in my opinion. Happy shopping.

I try to be nice to them at first, but if that doesn't work, I have no problem getting rude with them. Car sales people are the worst, but I have a simple solution to having to deal with them...just go to the lot to look when the place is closed LOL

yes its part of their job, though i just tell them to let me check the item alone and i will be the one to call them if i have question so they will not going to keep on following me like im going to do bad things with the item. sometimes they will still follow me so what i did, i will grab some item and ask them to look for size that i know not on display so they will be gone to look for it.

When you are going to shop like for instance in the mall, market and any place like a store you meet sales person. I used to their way of style or talking. I just say, " I'll come back later". That's it.

I say "no,thanks" but the idea above with "a smile like a stupid man"is better I think I have to apply it to future :))

Same here. I tell them straight to their face that I'm not interested but if they still insist on me to buy their products then I will really be annoyed and might tell something unnecessary. I hate sales ladies that don't know when to quit and don't know if they are becoming annoying.

Undoubtly, the phenomenon you described is common in supermarket. I always smile to them rather than talking anything to them and just walk away.

i understand i cant stand it i tell them no thank or have no money, not interested.. or sometimes see what their offering and offer to come back.. this will get them to leave you along because they sometimes thinks the consumer will actually come back and purchase something..
