I was at the mall this afternoon with my friend to watch Iron Man 2. And when it was done, we went home. And at the exit gate, there I saw a familiar figure. Then looking closer, I knew it was my third year high school adviser who trusted me and gave me some reward that shocked me that time. It was an awesome experience that after all those years, she still remembered me. It was like ten years ago and yet, she still remembered me, and it made me glad and so happy. Really blessed indeed. And we had just a small chat for she is also going home with her groceries. Going home, I remembered the times I was with her and the trust that I gained from her. How about you? Could you relate some experience with me? It is satisfying right?

Our high school principal who is also my teacher in high school surprised me during my wedding day, He even gave a gift and I was so happy to see him. He looks the same after eight long years. He was one of my best mentors and I appreciate him so much, When I was also in college I used to meet my chemistry teacher because in high school, he was enrolled in the graduate school in the university where I was studying and we say our hi and hello with each other.

I haven't met any of my high schools teachers after I graduated, but I once met my teacher from elementary school. She was my teacher in the first grade, and that is almost 30 years ago, but she actually recognized me and she remembered my name! I was really surpriced, she hadn't seen me since I was a small child and I am an adult now, but she still recognized me. When I met her she was with some of the students and we didn't have the chance to talk, but it still made me happy to see her again.

You are right. When our old teachers recognise us we feel proud. This happened to me when I went to my school after 15 years. All new faces was there. But my school, the look was unchanged. I was lucky to see some of my teachers there who were still continuing. They hold me and proudly told to the other student, look she is your senior who have come to meet us and we are proud of her. At that moment it was like receiving a big award for me. I will never forget it.

Nice move there. Hehe. I think I would have to be back at our old school as well. During classes to introduce us to her and their former students and be encouragement to them as well. Hehe. Well, nice. I might be doing that as well. And I think, the feeling is mutual from both of us. And I bet, you are prouder. Hehe.

I know this feeling. I was at a book shop when I saw my old primary teacher. It had been 7 years since when I last saw her. We talked for a moment and I thing she was really surprised that I was the same person. The same Stephen, because when I attended primary , I was a short , chubby kid and when I met her in the book shop, I was totally different. Tall and skinny . I remember thinking that she was a giant when I was in primary but when I talked to her in the shop , I realized how short she was.
IT's amazing to see someone from the distant past and yet talk as if you had never been apart :)

thank you for sharing. And thanks to you that you were able to relate with me. Well, it is really amazing how things went up with the time. It has been an amazing past years. And still there are people who really remembers us and lovingly smiled at us. It is really nice to leave a good legacy that in time, people will remember us for the good times. Though there are shortcomings, as much as possible, let us do the necessary righteous things.. thanks a lot. You have my best response!

But she just recently, invited me to come and visit her and have lunch with her family:) can't wait she was so helpful with me back in middle school

Yes my former highschool teacher still remembers me. I attended the graduation ceremony of my younger brother. He is the same school I attended in highschool. We went to took photo of him, there were so many teachers and student gathered on the place where my brother was. We took photos. He called this one teacher and his teacher came for the pictures. We were both screaming because she was my Values Education teacher. She called my name which makes me so happy because after 14 years she still remembers me.

My mother actually ran into my first grade teacher at Chik Fil A not too long ago and when she went up to her to say hi, Ms. Mitchell started asking her about myself and my siblings. I was in her class in 1986 and 1987 and still she remembers me to this day. I really thought that it was quite amazing because of the fact that was really a lifetime ago. I know that she was one of the teachers that was the most influential to me, but I didn't think that a teacher who had had hundreds of students would still remember a student from so long ago.

Yes, thare are few still alive and I make sure to visit them whenever I am in my hometown. This is an absolute blessing to talk to teachers who taight us in school days, school days are very important to become a good person in life and our teacher contribute max on that. When I meet my school days teacher, they express their happiness that I am doing good and happy in my space. For them its matter of real happiness that someone whm they educated are doing good and feel satisfied.

You are so lucky that you had such a responsible teacher in you high school. When I was in my junior school for higher study,I met a good teacher that tought us Maths that time.He had been good to me and very responsible. Also he is an experienced and skilled maths teacher in our school and in our whole zone,But we didn't know how to treasure it and we didn't like him because of him nagging....
Now,I usually remember him and want to say sorry to him,but I find it hard to give him a call and tell him my apology. If we will meet again one day,I must say sorry to him.I bet he still remember me.
Good day.

Yeah they will never forget for what i did to them. I always escape classes and jump of the wall just to go home or go directly to a internet cafe. I always get caught but I can still reason out with them.

I also have the same experience like you. One day i met someone in front of small store. He greeted me. At first i didn't know who is him. And then i remember that he was my primary school friend. I'm so surprised, he still remember although already 10 years. His face had change but i feel that i'm back to be a child. I hope i can meet all of my old friend cause i miss them all.

AS far as I am concerned, I think my high school or previous teachers just can not remember me ,for I think I am a student who usually runs out of the teachers' eyes. I just do not want the teachers can see me under their eyes, which I think I will explore myself in "danger". Most the students like me just want to be hidden themselves at school. So th eteachers just can not remember us at all.

I have a feeling my chemistry teacher would still recognize me if she saw me this year. She's very smart and I believe I had a lasting impact in her life. After all, we were the first graduates in the school she taught in. Not only that, I used to have high grades and I constantly talked to her about random things. Some teachers remember such kids. Hmmm.

Of course my high school teacher do remember for their student. Even after 15 years. Now am thirty of age, whenever me and my high school teacher met to unexpected place at the unexpected time. We usually greet one another and talk how is life been doing. They are very happy when they see their student successful. By the way they are my mentors lol.

i remember one of my professors in high school told us, that she really felt happy whenever her students approach her and share some chitchats with her. i was pretty amazed by her story. imagining her as a strict and heartless professor makes me wonder how come this teacher shares such story. i just realized that it feels like their crowning glory to be remembered by their students even if they were the strictest teacher in the world. ;)
after graduating in high school, i haven't bumped into any of my professors, and just recently, after 4 years in college i happened to bumped with one of my teachers. remembering her story, i greet her, and share some chitchats, silently thinking, it feels warm to bid someone who taught a lot of things in you from the past.
on my side of the story, it is I who feel blessed to see her again, someone very inspiring, indeed. :)
