Test matches day night. It's bad for player. Because night for sleep or take a rest. May be some player will feel some trouble to play at night. But it's good for viewer. As it's more interesting to watch match at night and at night all will be free. No work.

Ya off course it is good for the viewers or audience to watch day and night tests, but for players it will be difficult for them to play on that situation. Thank you friend.

I wonder what would be the color of the ball that they use fro the test match at night.pink or white!! And coming to the discussion a change is always has some struggle to come forward.T20 was rejected at first. Now it has become a complete entertainer for the family.Who knows the night tests may also be a hit. But I want tests whether day or night to be the ones with results.Other wise test cricket will soon die. also I think 4day test matches would be more interesting!!

I personally disagree with some of the replies that have been posted in this discussion. For a cricketer it really should not make him more tired/exhausted if it's played in the night. If anything,it should be easier on their body because nights are much cooler. The body can easily adapt to changing sleeping patterns and these guys are professional cricketers anyways. Ok,now back to the question. The biggest effect as far as the 'cricket' is concerned will be DEW.Because of the dew factor at night, the entire game will be changed. The balance between bat and bowl will be even worse.Spinners will not be able to grip the ball and so their effectiveness will be reduced.Even the ball from fast bowlers will skid on.Fielding can be tougher as well.By having to dry the ball after every delivery will lead to slower over rates. Also there are many other game changing effects like not being able to see the ball in the air, etc.Unless the ICC manages to solve such problems,I don't think night test matches should be held.

I think it is a good idea from ICC. may be it will increase test matches popularity. Because those people can't come in day time because of oice hours , can come to see the matches. But start in India it would not be good as India as it would be very costly. So, ICC should start this in otther countries may be ASHES. When it will be successfull then they can try in INDIA.

Icc is trying to introduce new concepts. After some matches it will be known that whether players could withstand this change or they are liking it. However viewers will surely enjoy this because watching cricket in the evenings and night are better than day. May be ICC wants to make more cash from the test matches also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is a really innovative idea. But it is not practical regulary because of the high cost. But it is good to have occassionally. It will surely attract more people into Test Cricket. Specially in India, there will be lots of spectators since they come in numbers to Day Test matches as well.

I think it's bad from all the perspective as the players had to play 5 days under light, for 5 days the lights will on so it will consume that much electricity which is not good for any country. The ICC should think propely and only take the decisions which are beneficial for the game of cricket.
