Hello mylotters, care to share how to test the pureness of organic honey. I used to remember how our grandma tests the pureness of honey which she always brought from peddlers who will tell her that the honey they're selling are purely organic. Even there's some honeybee's in the bottle or jug she will still if it is really pure. She will take a matchstick and dip it to the said honey and when the matchstick lights up then she will tell to us it is pure organic honey but if it doesn't lights up, she will tell it is just made out of some honey, sugar and water.
Will you care to share how you tests the pureness of honey?

Hi Shen,
Thank you for your honey testing method. Another method is that if you put a drop of hone in a glass full of water, if it is pure, it will go directly at the bottom of the glass and slowly spread. And if a mix of something else, honey will spread immediately it touches the water.
In last December, when I visited my native place on my request my brother bought 5 kg (5 bottles) of honey and when bought and opened, I realised that it was a mix of something else also. It tasted differently and still not used. I will try your method today and will respond the result tomorrow.
Thank you,
Thank-s

I really don't know how to test if honey is 100% pure. What I know is that honey will never spoil. It will last for thousand and thousand of years. So if the honey emits a pungent smell after a few days then probably its not pure.

I don't like honey so much. That's why i never test it by myself. My parents test it. And the information you share it's important. So i will let it know to my parents.
